Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 Sweeter Than Watermelon

The boy nodded casually.

"The test was a little challenging, but not too difficult."

Su Qing stared at Jiang Sui in a daze. Surprisingly, he'd gotten a perfect score.

She casually picked up the boy's test paper. Compared to her own, which was covered in scribbling, his was much neater and clearer.

Su Qing was in the habit of writing down the steps and processes involved in solving problems on her test paper, circling any areas of difficulty.

The boy seemed to have the same habit, but his steps and processes were noticeably more minimal, just a few strokes.

He didn't go to school often, after all. He was too strong.

"Is this a bit difficult? I find physics particularly difficult. There are so many questions I'm a bit confused when I'm doing them."

She felt a little discouraged. Perhaps girls are naturally less sensitive to physics and mathematics.

She looked over the boy's English paper. He only got two cloze questions wrong; the rest were all correct.

"You, with such good grades, why didn't you choose to be admitted through recommendation?"

He's simply a god who outdoes everyone else.

She had also seen Zhang Yihan's physics paper. It was completely different from him. The boy who was recommended to Peking University and chose the physics department always had a full paper.

"I'm not on the recommended admission list."

After Jiang Sui finished speaking, Su Qing looked at him with some confusion.

How could that be?

"I transferred here, and my student registration isn't here."

Oh, right.

Su Qing bit her lip, a thought forming. She seemed to have transferred here, too, and her student registration wasn't transferred here either. This meant she'd have to return to Jiangcheng for the exam.

In that case, she'd probably have to go back several months in advance to prepare for the exam.

She didn't want to go back.

"Are you hungry? Let's go downstairs and eat. Afterward, I'll take you home."

Unnoticing the turmoil in her eyes, Jiang Sui stared at the misty sky outside. Wuzhen always rains a lot this season.

It was incredibly depressing.

"I'll call my mom first."

Su Qing looked up and saw it was getting dark. She was about to refuse, but by the time the words reached her lips, she'd fallen into a trap.

She had already told Su Rao about it before leaving.

Su Rao even specifically asked if the student she was studying with was the classmate who stayed overnight. As Su Qing left, she nodded awkwardly.

After hanging up the phone and telling Su Rao she wouldn't be back for dinner, Su Qing went to the bathroom.

The layout was as simple as a hotel. Of course, if she hadn't noticed the pair of black panties hanging from the string in front of the window...

She washed her hands and fled out, head down, not daring to speak.

"Come here, have some watermelon first."

While she was in the bathroom, Jiang Sui pulled the watermelon he'd bought at noon from the refrigerator, cut it in half, and handed her a spoon.

It was soaked in a faint cool breeze.

It looked delicious, but there was too much. Su Qing rubbed her fingertips and whispered to the boy.

"Jiang Sui, this is too big! I can't finish it. It'll be a waste."

He grabbed some plastic wrap from somewhere, wrapped the other half of the watermelon, and walked to the kitchen. He came out with a spoon in his hand.

"Then let's eat together, if you don't mind."

Su Qing held the spoon, wanting to ask, "Should we cut it separately?"

But she suppressed the question and nodded. Eating a little watermelon was no big deal.

Su Qing, looking down, didn't see the boy's smile, sweeter than the watermelon itself.
