Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 The Myth Of Jiang Sui

"Okay."

The boy casually glanced at the test paper on the table, his fingers paused as he was about to pick it up.

He grabbed the obtrusive "Quantum Mechanics" book next to it, snatched it from Su Qing's bag, and rudely placed it inside.

"Just this once, there won't be a next time."

Jiang Sui's eyebrows danced in displeasure at the blatant act of buying things for someone else. His tone was cold, yet contained a hint of warning.

In a fit of pique, he placed the girl's bag beside him, even zipping it up.

"My test paper is still in my bag."

Rubbing her fingers together, Su Qing glanced at the battered bag. She hadn't even remembered to take the test paper out yet.

"Why didn't you say so earlier!"

Jiang Sui quickly unzipped the bag and pulled out another test paper, placing it in front of him. He then passed the newly purchased one toward Su Qing, zipped it up again, and then felt something was wrong.

The book was an eyesore in the pink bag.

He licked his back teeth, stood up, and went to the bedroom. Within moments, he'd found a briefcase from somewhere and, with disgust, tossed the book into it, placing it on an empty spot on the coffee table. Then, frowning, he rummaged through the contents of the girl's backpack...

Su Qing tugged at her sleeve, somewhat bewildered by Jiang Sui's actions.

"You, what are you doing..."

There wasn't anything private or valuable in her backpack, but for some reason, she felt a pang of fear at the thought of Jiang Sui rummaging through it so openly.

"Your bag is dirty. Let me wash it for you."

?!

Su Qing was confused for a moment, feeling something was amiss. Her school bag should have been washed just last week. Could it really be dirty? It seemed like she'd left her pencil case unzipped and dropped some of her pencils inside. She hadn't checked to see if they were dirty.

Looking a little embarrassed, Su Qing wanted to refuse.

"Look how dirty it is inside."

Perhaps he was worried she wouldn't believe him.

Jiang Sui reached out and touched the tip of his nose. He sorted the contents of Su Qing's school bag and set them aside. He then held the lining of the bag out to Su Qing's eyes. However, Su Qing hadn't seen to see if it was truly dirty.

"You do the test first. I'll throw school bag in the washing machine."

The boy stood up and walked off with it.

Left alone, Su Qing looked at Jiang Sui, feeling deeply embarrassed.

How dirty...

She really loves cleanliness. Su Qing frowned at that remark. As Jiang Sui entered the bedroom, she secretly tugged at her collar, took a look, and then sniffed her hair.

There's no strange smell.

As the sound of the washing machine tumbling from the bedroom faded, blocked by the gently closed door,

Then his long, straight legs came into view.

The girl clenched her pen and began to work on the assignment. The words, initially densely packed, slowly became clearer in her eyes as she regained her composure.

The sweet scent of pink strawberry soda permeated the air. On a sweltering afternoon, a young man, with his handsome eyebrows and straight nose, bent over his desk, looked incredibly serious.

The only sound in the air was the rustling of his pen, so subtle it was almost inaudible.

Don't know how long it took, but Jiang Sui, who was crouching over, felt his neck become a little stiff.

It was too low for his height. He stretched out his wrist to rub his neck, squinting his eyes and catching sight of Su Qing beside him.

Her fair face was covered in black-rimmed glasses, her palm-sized features almost obscured by the oversized frames. Her fine hair cascaded down around her crystal-clear ears.

Her mind was completely focused, a few drops of ink staining the back of her hand as she flipped through the paper.

Su Qing frowned, finishing the last question before putting down her pen and flipping to the front of the paper. As she was about to check, she caught a glimpse of that burning gaze from the corner of her eye.

His eyes were half-lidded, his dense lashes casting a faint shadow beneath his eye sockets. His sharp features were softened. He sat back on the sofa, turning his head to look at her.

He seemed to have been staring at her for a long time, motionless.

She rubbed her fingers around the pen and flicked them over the paper beside him. While hers was densely packed, his was neat and tidy.

"Did you finish a long time ago?"

Jiang Sui tilted his neck back, his joints crackling as they twisted.

"No, a little earlier than you."

Su Qing didn't ask how much earlier. She glanced at the clock on the wall. It was almost four and a half hours later, which was her usual pace for finishing papers.

Two hours for comprehensive science, one hour for English, and an hour and a half for math.

"Aren't you supposed to check it? Go ahead and I'll go turn on the light."

Seeing that Su Qing hadn't moved, he gestured for her to continue. The sky was already dimming, the sun outside had long since lost its scorching heat, leaving the room bathed in a gentle warmth, bathed in the glow of the setting sun.

Before Su Qing could recover, the young man stood up and walked to the hallway.

Su Qing breathed a sigh of relief and took a piece of scratch paper to check. This test was indeed new; there were many question types she had never seen before.

There was no time to check in the exam room, but she usually did so after each self-test to see what the error tolerance was.

The paper was already marked, but she had some doubts while taking it.

By the time she finished checking, it was completely dark.

The boy had slid up to her side without her noticing. Perhaps he had washed his face while she was checking, but she could faintly smell the faint scent of soap wafting from him.

Without time to dodge, she saw a pen clenched between his fingers.

"You got this wrong on the math multiple-choice question, and the solution to the later question is incorrect. It should be like this."

"You're too weak in physics. You got many wrong. Three multiple-choice questions, and you didn't get a single formula right in the later question. Chemistry was barely right with two mistakes. English was good, except for the essay, which got full marks."

On the test paper, several circles were clearly drawn, indicating the mistakes and where they were made. The formulas and solutions were neatly laid out, the writing was sharp, and the numbers were clearly marked.

Simple and clear physics formulas.

The rules were clear and refreshing.

Without even checking the answers, Su Qing could clearly sense that she had made a mistake.

He was so amazing.

Su Qing raised her head, so he had been watching her since then...

Her gaze met the boy's dark pupils.

"What, Qing Qing, don't you believe me?"

The boy's lips curled slightly, his brows a bit cold, his tone calm.

"Jiang Sui, in the test just now, you got full marks in physics, math, and chemistry, right?"

She had heard his legend more than once.

Even after clearly perceiving it, she was still somewhat shocked.
