Chapter : 1 : A New World And A New Life :
In the world of earthland one of the most foundational truths was magic and those who could use it were called wizards .
These wizards formed various guilds both light and dark to perform various tasks .
Location : Kingdom of Fiore : Glory Village :
" Hey Orion , how are you and family doing ?"
" I am doing fine, thank you for asking uncle . "
" Orion, thank you for your help yesterday . "
" Hahaha! No need to thank me aunty I just did what any one should do ."
" Hey Orion boy, could you help me with the shop today? "
" Sure thing grandpa . "
" You are such a sweet boy Orion, always helping others . "
" Thank you for your praise grandma . "
At this moment and one of the small villages in the kingdom of Fiore it could be seen people are going around their day .
Some of them are making stalls while some are working on their farmland.
Childrens on the other hand were playing on the ground and some even going to a local school to learn .
All in all it was a harmonious scenario .
Within that scenario one could see a boy around 18 years old was going through the market square .
And from all the greetings he was getting it was quite clear that the boy was quite popular and known in the local area .
The boy himself had a genuine smile on his face and politely greeted everyone .
" Hey mom, I am home . "
" Welcome back Orion . "
" Mom I will be going to my room . "
" Alright but come soon the dinner is about to start . "
After reaching home he talked to his mother who was making food and then went up stairs .
" Hey big brother, are you going to come and play with me? "
" Sorry Jessica will play tomorrow for now I have some work to do . "
After fully rubbing the head of his dear little sister, the boy finally went inside his room .
" Phew ! "
After entering the room and shutting the door he finally went to his bed .
" Man ! It has been so long since I came to this world. "
" And yet it feels like it was just yesterday . "
Yes you have heard it right .
Orion was not originally someone from this world of fairy tail .
Instead he was a person who got transmigrated here from a planet called Earth .
Before coming here he was just an ordinary boy who loved to play games and also had some martial arts training.
However one day when he was going through the library he found an old looking book .
And as they say curiosity got the cat he too couldn't control his excitement.
From his childhood he had always found books to be very interesting and always collected as many as he could .
However when he opened the book he found that the language written in it was completely strange .
And that was coming from him who have extensive knowledge in this field .
Suddenly the cover of the book glowed in blue colour and everything in front of him disappeared .
And that was the last thing he knew before everything went blank .
After that when he opened his eyes he was in a completely different place .
Not only was he not in the familiar library he was actually in another body .
But that was not even the most shocking part .
Because after sometime he found not only was he in a different room and different body he was also in an entirely different world .
At first the situation for him was very bad because when something like that happens the first instinct of any normal person is to get afraid, terrified and want to run away .
Or in other cases just deny the reality in front of them and believe it was either hallucination or a very realistic dream .
And in his case Orion felt both of them .
Afterall he is not your main characters who would wake up in another world and feel like - ' Oh ! A different world let's go get some beauties for my harem . '
However just as the panic was about to set in completely the memories of this world came back to his mind causing him to once again blank out but this time in a splitting headache .
After which it finally came down a lot .
It was then that he learned that he was in the world of fairy tail .
A world dominated by magic , fighting , loud mouth protagonists and the power of friendship .
This was both exciting and dreadful for the young man .
Exciting because he was in a world where magic was a real thing .
Everything aside, just this fact was so exciting that he almost forgot the downside of this world for a moment .
However soon reality checked in and he saw the problems as well.
Since this was no longer a world of friction all the threats over here were just as much as real .
And without power as an ordinary person he would never feel safe .
The fairy tail world is full of dark guilds, wizards and others .
While the main characters manage to save the situations at the very last moment but it still takes a lot of toll on the common NPC's .
And without proper powers he was just a sitting duck even for a small third rate villain .
Just as he was about to think about his next step he found something right behind .
It was the same book that had originally been responsible for transporting him here .
But this time when he opened the book he found a major difference .
Because now he was actually able to read the contents inside .
And it was only then did he understand that the book was actually a book of Magical spells .
After that his journey of learning magic finally began .
Since then it has been 4 months and now he has become more adapted to this world .
" Alright let's see ! "
With a clap of his hands a spark of light appeared followed by a book which fell on his hands.
Looking at the magical book Orion couldn't help but feel a complicated emotion in his heart .
Yes this book was a magical book that allowed him to become a wizard .
But the way this Magic work was far more different than anything he had previously imagined .
Unlike many other characters in other fanfictions who get character template systems or overpowered magics this book did not give anything like that .
Instead the book gave him multiple spells that he had to learn by himself.
And there was another twist in this story .
And that is he could not open the entire book wherever he wanted .
The book seems to be magically sealed and the pages cannot be opened just because you want to .
For example when he first used the magical book only the first page was something that he could open .
And after 4 months he could open 4 pages .
Each page possesses a spell .
" And since I have opened four pages I have been able to learn four magical spells . "
They are thread magic , basic barrier magic , magic mark , and impact magic .
All of this is just basic magic and are not very powerful on their own if used in a direct manner .
For example the thread magic allowed him to create magical threads .
While it seems like a useful ability but in an actual fight the threads that he can create are very thin and fragile .
But Orion has found a remedy to that problem .
" I can just make multiple strings and then use them to make net traps and increase the power of the strings . "
At first this method faced many problems because of his lack of control over his magic .
But after constant training especially while hunting in the forest he learned how to use it .
While he still can't use it that effectively against a battle hardened Warrior or wizard he was sure that it could be used if he had enough time .
The basic barrier magic on the other hand allowed him to create a small screen of Magical shield that protected him against small-scale physical attacks .
The magic mark on the other hand was not an attack or defensive magic .
It was a tracking magic .
He can place an Imagica mark on someone or something and as long as this within 10 km, then he would be able to track it .
A very useful magic .
However the only problem is that in order to make this tracking Magic work he would have to make physical contact with the opposite side .
This means that if he wanted to place the magical tracker on the enemy or the target he would have to get dangerously close .
And the last in the series was the impact magic .
In this technique he would concentrate a small amount of Magical power in his hand and when he would punch or slam his opponent it would create a small shockwave .
While not an instant mountain baking punch, the technique was very much cost effective.
Like he could use it now with his regular punches almost throughout a fight without feeling exhausted.
" All in all, every magic I have learnt so far are mostly the basics and don't have much individual strength . "
" But if you combine them together while using perfect opportunities and timing it could become lethal . "
But still looking at himself and at the book in front of him Orion felt that his progress had stopped .
" Well it is mostly because of how this weird magic book actually works . "
As he had said before the book was magically sealed .
And he was not the one in control of which page or how many pages would open .
The book gave no clear instructions about the matter which made the situation even more frustrating .
" For all its magic, whoever wrote this book still lacks the decency of giving a proper instruction manual . "
Unfortunately complaining would not help so he started to work on it and had guessed some reasons .
" The biggest factor in this matter I can think of is directly relating to experience and knowledge . "
The more experience and knowledge he gets over time helps him to unlock more magic pages .
At least that's what he has come to realise so far.
And this was a problem for him because in this small village the amount of experience and knowledge he could get was very much limited.
" While I can go hunting, they are not very strong beasts over here . "
He needs to learn a lot about magic so that his knowledge can increase.
" And for that I would need to leave this village and join a magic guild . "
In this world a magic especially strong one was of immense importance to a young aspiring wizard .
There he could get the resources like specialised training under experienced wizards , magical books , etc required for his journey .
Moreover unlike many young wizards who would try to join a killed writer after awakening their power David had prior training .
While this was certainly not enough to make him a powerhouse or experienced Wizard it was still a base upon which he can stand .
And there was another thing.
The village was a relatively safe area and he would not have to worry about his family getting vulnerable in his absence .
In fact his mother has already known for quite some time that he wanted to leave and join a magical guild .
And despite her bodies she fully supported his dream .
The only small problem would be to make his sister stop crying when she learns about his decision to leave .
But that is something he can handle .
Well at least he hopes so .
" And for which magical guild to join that's already decided . "
" It's going to be - The Fairy Tail . "
