"I told you so," Kibito said smugly, his grin widening.
The Supreme Kai didn't speak, but his eyes glimmered with amusement.
You couldn't even defeat me. What made you think you could draw that sword?
"Huff… huff…"
Broly's hands went numb. He blew on them hard before gripping the hilt again.
Snap!
His body suddenly surged with power—he had transformed into a Super Saiyan infused with Great Ape energy.
"Well now, this transformation is unusual. I thought Saiyans could only become Great Apes," Kibito muttered, thoughtful.
Broly ignored him. He gripped the sword's hilt again with both hands and heaved with all his might.
The Sacred Sword didn't budge an inch.
Even with his battle power, he was still far from the Supreme Kai's level.
After all, when Gohan came to the Sacred World of the Kais in the original story, his base power level was already far beyond Broly's.
Broly's foundation was still too weak.
As expected, even as a Super Saiyan, he couldn't draw the blade. Exhausted, he was left panting heavily.
"If you can't pull that sword out, I'll punish you with three days of no food," Ken said suddenly.
Broly's pupils shrank sharply.

He screamed, his body trembling as he began to lose control. He glanced once at Ken, then at Merus at his side, before finally locking his gaze on Kibito.
"Y-you… why are you looking at me like that?" Kibito frowned uneasily.
The words had barely left his mouth when Broly suddenly charged at him.
"Look out!" Ken shouted.
Kibito froze, distracted by Ken's warning.
The Supreme Kai hadn't yet realized what was happening.
"He's about to lose control!" Ken cried, soaring into the sky.
Kibito: …
I didn't need you to tell me that!
Your shout just distracted me!
Merus wiped cold sweat from his brow.
Was that deliberate?
Broly became a streak of golden light, rushing at Kibito.
Kibito was horrified.
In the nick of time, the Supreme Kai appeared at his side, thrusting out his hands.
A wave of invisible divine power instantly bound Broly, freezing him midair.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!"
Broly roared again, struggling furiously against the restraint.
"What's happening to him? Why has he gone berserk?" the Supreme Kai demanded.
"His energy is too strong. His body can't withstand it, so he's lost his reason," Ken explained, guilt in his voice. "It's my fault… I shouldn't have threatened him with no food."
Merus: …
No, I'm sure you said that on purpose.
I'd better be careful.
After all, Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan.
If he rips the Supreme Kai in half by mistake… that'll be on me.

Merus drew a handgun, keeping it trained on Broly.

"I want food!" he screamed, his voice shaking the very earth beneath them.

The golden aura around him shifted color.
Whoosh!
A pillar of dark green light erupted skyward.
In moments, his entire body was engulfed in an emerald blaze.
His hair spiked higher, now glowing green.
"T-this…" Merus was stunned. "He's unleashed the full power of the Legendary Super Saiyan!"
"What? The Legendary Super Saiyan?" the Supreme Kai gasped, shaken. "The warrior said to be the strongest in the universe?"
"This guy… is the Legendary Super Saiyan?" Kibito shuddered, his face paling.
Snap!
With his transformation complete, Broly shattered the Supreme Kai's binding technique with ease.
"My binding spell… completely ineffective!" the Supreme Kai cried, his mouth twitching violently.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!"
Broly screamed, his power surging outward again, staining the entire sky green.
"This is bad. He's completely out of control," Ken shouted, retreating farther away with no hurry in his movements.
Merus was speechless.
You're the one who triggered his Legendary Super Saiyan state.
And now you're running away?
"Merus, stop him!" Ken called out. "This will be great training for you!"
Merus: …
Why not say it's training for you?
You're unbelievable.
"Hurry, before he tears the Supreme Kai apart!" Ken added.
Merus looked closely—and sure enough, Broly was barreling straight toward the Supreme Kai, looking ready to rip him in two.
There was no room for hesitation. Merus darted forward, raising his gun. He quickly infused it with angelic power.
Bang!
He pulled the trigger.
The divine bullet shot straight into Broly.
He couldn't dodge—he was hit.
Merus's angelic power flooded his body, cleansing his mind from within.
Snap!
At once, the blank glow faded from Broly's eyes. His pupils returned to normal.
