The thing didn't have a name yet.
I was sure of it.
Because if it did, these guys wouldn't be so oblivious as to what we were fighting. It was a new type of crack, and so many things about it weren't widely known.
If this expenditure hadn't been exposed to the public in my past life, then I'm compelled to suspect that it had been a massive failure back then.
And since it was a failure, more caution was put into it.
But it still didn't make it to the public.
So, I wonder. Did they never succeed in this raid? Why, though?
With Sung-min and Min-jae, even if it was just Sung-min, it was enough to stop these monsters.
What went wrong?
"It's coming!" Commander Oh yelled and the thing hit the ground like a ball, compressed into a puddle of sludge, then burst back up as a fully formed monster again.
Someone behind me whimpered. I would too, but...
Sung-min stepped forward calmly, the ground around his boots icing over immediately.
"Left flank," he said.
