Chapter 58 - War of Mirrors

The air inside the Glass Labyrinth shattered with the sound of splintering crystal.Aloysius's double moved first impossibly fast, every strike of his blade mimicking Aloysius's exact movements, only sharper, more merciless. Steel met steel, each clash ringing like the cry of a wounded bell.

Elyon's reflection spoke as it fought, weaving illusions into the very air: "You heal them, but who heals you?" The false Elyon's magic flared bright, lances of light forcing the real Elyon to duck behind a wall of conjured wind. Yet the labyrinth twisted even that reflections multiplying until Elyon no longer knew which enemy to strike.

Kaelis faced not one double, but three, each emerging from different panes. They fought in perfect unison, blades glinting like shards of moonlight. Every parry came a fraction too late, every counterattack batted aside as if they had read his thoughts before he moved.

The labyrinth itself seemed to cheer for the impostors. Walls shifted, corridors narrowed, and reflections flickered at the edges of vision, whispering half-formed threats.

Realizing brute force would fail, Aloysius shouted, "Break the mirrors!"Kaelis didn't hesitate his blade slammed into a wall, shattering it. The sound was deafening, and the doubles screamed in unison, their forms glitching like fractured glass.

Elyon seized the moment, channeling his magic into a concentrated beam that tore through the largest pane. The labyrinth wailed as if alive, its corridors collapsing into blinding light.

When the dust settled, the doubles were gone. The shard lay untouched on a pedestal of cracked glass. But before Aloysius could take it, the remaining walls flickered, and a final reflection appeared a figure cloaked in darkness, its face hidden.

It spoke with all their voices at once:"Destroy the shard, and you destroy yourselves."
