Saitama explained calmly, "I sent them away first so they wouldn't get caught up in this. It'll be safer for them that way."
"Caught up? Hah! You think too highly of yourself. You mean to tell me you weren't fighting with full power just now?"
Ego sneered. For a mere human to possess such strength was already beyond his comprehension. All the more reason he craved Saitama's body.
"It wasn't full power. Honestly… I don't even know what my full power is."
Saitama rubbed his nose, speaking with rare seriousness.
"Bluffing fool!"
Ego roared. With a thought, massive magma tendrils erupted from the planet's surface, lashing toward Saitama.
But the bald hero only rose higher, slipping past every strike with ease.
"Running away? Too late now!"
Ego laughed coldly. With a resonant hum, he compressed the combined force of nine planets into a single field, locking Saitama's body midair.
"This spot… is perfect," Saitama muttered, as if he'd chosen to stop himself. His eyes fixed below. "If I didn't misread it earlier… your brain's inside this planet, isn't it?"
Ego stiffened, then laughed with scorn. "And what, you plan to destroy it? Foolish! You'll never succeed!"
At his command, the crushing gravity field bore down. Space shattered into fragments of black glass. The pressure was immense — enough to grind even vibranium into dust.
Any lifeform caught within should have been instantly annihilated.
But instead, arcs of lightning crawled across Saitama's body, a lingering gift of thunderous power he'd absorbed before.
"Oh? Lightning? That's your hidden trump card?" Ego laughed maniacally. "Pathetic! You'll still be crushed beneath my might!"
But Saitama only glanced down. "Not much left… I'll save it. Still need it for flying. Can't just waste it."
The arcs faded. The full weight of nine planets crashed upon him.
BOOOOM—
The heavens broke apart. Space collapsed.
Ego laughed wildly — until his smile froze.
Saitama's suit shredded. His gloves and cape tore away. But the man himself… remained untouched.
"Impossible… IMPOSSIBLE!!" Ego howled. "No flesh can endure this! Even gods would be pulverized!"
Yet there Saitama stood. His muscles gleamed under the strain. He raised a foot — and stepped forward.
Thump.
Ego's massive form shuddered. He felt it in his very core, like his own heart had been stomped on.
Another step. Then another.
The impossible man walked freely in a prison of force strong enough to drag planets from orbit. Space itself cracked around him, yet he moved as if nothing stood in his way.
"Stop! STOP! You can't— you're not supposed to—!!"
For the first time, the proud Celestial trembled with fear.
But Saitama only smiled faintly. "Goodbye, Ego. You're one of the strongest opponents I've faced. Fighting you was… actually fun."
He clenched his fist.
The air changed. His dull, dead-fish eyes sharpened into a piercing glare. His face became sharp, fierce, unshakable.
"Serious Fist… Very Serious."
Saitama's voice was quiet, but it shook the world.
Ego screamed, summoning every ounce of his might. Lava shields erupted, layers of planetary force bent to protect him. "I am Ego! I am a Celestial! I will not—"
But it was too late.
Saitama drove his fist down.
The target— the entire planet itself.
