"Monster?!"
That was the first thought that flashed through Obadiah Stane's mind.
What the hell just happened?
Stark was sent flying by someone's single finger? Sure, at ten thousand meters the propulsion might be insufficient, but no normal person could do that!
And at this kind of altitude, the air pressure alone would be enough to shatter every bone in a human body—yet this bald guy named Saitama was still rising higher?!
"Die! I don't care what kind of monster you are!"
The metal hand shot out, grabbing Saitama's leg. The massive armor spun him around in midair a few times before slamming him down with brutal force.
Boom, boom, boom—
One thunderous crash after another.
The sheer impact leveled an entire street, collapsing countless buildings as Saitama was driven into the ground.
"Saitama!"
Stark, having landed and gotten back up, shouted in shock. Even with his armor cushioning him, that fall could have been fatal. And Saitama? He was wearing nothing but a tight suit—was he relying on that for impact absorption? No way—that'd be certain death!
"Hahaha! Tony, you're a genius, but your thinking is too conservative. I made some improvements to your original design."
The massive steel monster landed heavily. With Stane's command, the armor's shoulders split open to reveal two concealed launch ports. Twin micro-missiles streaked toward where Saitama had landed, leaving bright tails in their wake.
"Jericho missiles, miniaturized version—perfect for close-range combat."
Stane laughed wildly. Stark's face instantly darkened.
The Jericho missile—his pride and joy. Even with reduced payload, the blast radius would obliterate hundreds of meters around them. This guy was insane!
"Move! Pepper!"
With no way to chase the missiles, Stark roared, swooping in to grab Pepper and retreating hard.
"So these are called Jericho missiles, huh?"
Smack!
Instead of the expected explosion and fireball, the collapsed street ahead remained eerily quiet.
Stane's grin froze on his face as he stared, stunned.
The two Jericho missiles had vanished into the rubble as if swallowed by the earth.
Crack, crack—
The debris shifted, rising as a yellow-suited, white-caped, bald figure slowly emerged.
In his hands… were two short sticks?
Wait, no—those weren't sticks. Those were the Jericho micro-missiles he had just fired, their warheads crushed flat!
A terrifying thought flashed through Stane's mind.
Could this monster be faster than electricity?!
The Jericho missiles used electric signals to trigger detonation. Unless something moved faster than the signal reached the detonation mechanism, cutting it off beforehand, this kind of interception was impossible.
"That's pretty unfriendly… kinda ticks me off," Saitama muttered.
He was already annoyed—when he first landed in the Marvel world, a bunch of Jericho missiles had been fired at him. Now, again? Even clay has its limits.
And he was the Caped Baldy!
"Damn you! Die!"
Ratatatatatata—
The massive steel monster's arms spun, the roar of a Gatling gun filling the air. Countless bullets poured down like rain, their fiery streaks weaving a deadly curtain.
Clang, clang, clang—
To Stark's disbelief, the bullets—powerful enough to turn an armored vehicle into scrap—hit Saitama's body only to warp, shatter, and fall to the ground as twisted little lumps of metal.
"…A human body can stop bullets?"
Stark's mind went blank. He had thought that once he developed the Mark III and IV, he might have a chance to catch up to the Caped Baldy. Now… he realized he hadn't even begun to understand the gap between them.
Grenade launchers, heavy machine gun fire—
From the storm of gunfire, the bald man with the dead-fish eyes emerged calmly, quickening his pace.
Crack!
He grabbed the massive armor's foot in one hand.
"Huh?! Hahaha, you're looking to die?"
Stane's heart lurched, then surged with joy—he'd been trying to get close to this monster, and now the guy was practically offering himself up. One stomp would crush him!
Crack, crack—BOOM—
Just as the giant armor's foot rose to stomp him flat, Saitama clamped both hands around it and, to Stark and Pepper's shock, lifted the whole suit clean off the ground.
Stane's vision spun wildly.
Boom!
With a surge of strength, Saitama slammed the giant armor into the ground like a club, then swung it up again.
One to the left—BOOM!
One to the right—BOOM!
And just for fun, a few more left-and-right combos.
Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom!
"…Gulp…"
From a distance, Stark swallowed hard as he shielded Pepper, watching the massive steel monster being manhandled by Saitama. The sight made his scalp go numb.
