Penny's POV
Andrew's thumb is still caressing my palm under the table even as the silence stretches around us before Nick breaks it, of course.
He leans back in his chair, smirking. "So basically, we're all starring in some family documentary now? Good thing I'm photogenic."
Savannah tilts her head, her lips curling. "Photogenic? You blink in literally every photo."
"Not true," Nick shoots back. "I've mastered the fiery look. Ask Andrew."
"Don't drag me into your delusions."
Jess bursts out laughing, tossing her hair over her shoulder. "Oh, please. If Nick tried a smolder, half the room would think he swallowed a lemon."
"Lies," Nick insists, grinning. "Pure slander."
We all burst into laughter. Mom shakes her head as if she's trying to stay serious.
Dad just looks at us before finally pushing back his chair and stands up, muttering, "I need coffee," and walks toward the kitchen counter.
