Penny's POV
Nick doesn't really look like Nick right now.
He's usually all jokes and lazy smirks, but tonight he's sitting forward on the couch with his elbows on his knees and his eyes locked on Dad like he's finally stepped into the seriousness of the moment.
"What do you mean you overheard Harrison?" I press. My voice coming out sharper than I intend, but my chest is pounding too hard to soften it.
Nick drags a hand through his messy hair. "Exactly what I said. Earlier this week, when I went by the Harrisons' place with Andrew..."
"Correction," Andrew cuts in, his brows lifting. "You invited yourself into my car, ate half the snacks in my console, and then tagged along when I had to pick something up from Harrison's office."
Nick smirks faintly. "Details. Anyway, while Andrew was inside, I hung around the hallway. Harrison must've thought no one was nearby because he started talking loudly on the phone. Like, obnoxiously loud."
