Thane and Esau were now trekking through the dark caves. It was pitch black, but Thane could see. The darkness around them was so absolute that any normal wanderer would have felt swallowed whole, yet Thane walked as if strolling across a twilight meadow. Every stone, crack, and curve appeared in his mind like a vivid map drawn from light itself.
As for Esau, he was relying on the heightened perception that allowed him to follow Thane's steps. His Dungeon-Broken body had become sharper, more responsive, and more alive. And beyond that, there was the mysterious link as [Party Members]. Though it was dark, Esau had a somewhat vague sense of Thane's vision. It was as if some instinct, some spiritual impression, gave him whispers of shape and distance. Whenever Thane tilted his head or shifted his gaze, Esau felt faint echoes of the direction, like a second awareness gently nudging him.
