A flash of green light shot out into the air and from it came a small yellow seed the size of an egg. The seed swirled in the air, moving gracefully in a circular motion as it slowly began moving towards Lucan. Lucan accepted it without hesitation and in the blink of an eye; it shot out like a comet at his chest and soon enough it entered into it.
A soothing sensation and feeling like being refilled with something heavenly, was felt in all of lucans body and instantly, the veins within Lucan hands began to glow yellow. They were like magical vines. Soon more veins began to form and they stretched like that of a tree network and soon enough Lucan entire body was refilled.
A panel blue and shimmering with power appeared and it displayed the new improvement
Luck: 17
A smile crept up Lucan face.
"Nice.With this, I am sure to get an sss rank ability!"
Now it was time for his skill and soon enough it appeared.
{ Against all odds lv 1—When your health, stamina, or survival chance drops below a certain threshold, an improbable but beneficial event triggers — reinforcements, a sudden escape route, or an enemy blunder }
{ Can only be used once a week }
Nice. Lucan muttered. His luck ability was truly supreme now. With this, not only will his rise be better and more smoother, he undoubtedly will; incase of problems he couldn't predict have a sure chance to escape or get out.
With a smile, he stood up from his bed and walked to his desk.
"Now I need to write down all important details I still remember from my past life"
"The memories from my past life will serve as a means to aid my growth and avert crises. Especially when that appears…." Thinking of it, a frown appeared.
A situation not even the top guilds could prevent. It was a catastrophic and ginormous devastation that couldn't be prevented by anyone, not even the so called SSS ability users. It had led to nothing but destruction and also the major destruction and damage to the two soul relics.
"That relic is very important. It's uses…."
"No, right now I needed to write. Thinking of that will come later" and with that he continued writing.
…..
Crack crack!
The cracking of knuckles could be heard a mile away, as Lucan stretched his body, the room heavy with the weight of preparation. For over an hour, he had sat constantly writing down memories he still remembered.
Having memory enhancement was very normal in the future for the Aspirants and he was no different. Though he was tired he was still okay. His body was still really weak and shit, the only major thing was his strength and intelligence other than that, he was no better than an average person.
With a slight stretch of his legs, he stood up from the wooden brown chair and went to the window.
From it , he could see the countless people, each engrossed in their own work, moving about the streets. The smell and taste of normalcy filled the air, but that was soon going to end. The world was soon going to change and when it did…
"Right now, I need all the rest I can get. Tomorrow will be a major day and with enough rest, I will be ready tomorrow." Saying that, he walked out of the room, and began preparing another meal. This was specifically for his mother. Normally his mother would not have allowed for this, but it seemed the sleep had really taken her out with a storm.
He let out a small smile… "She deserves it"
With that said, he fully made and prepared the meal, wrote instructions, even though he knew she wouldn't need it, arranged the kitchen to look nice and clean and he went to his room.
With some soft swings and slice at the air, he practiced his honed skills swiftly. "I still got it" He muttered with satisfaction. Then he did some planks, pull ups, took a bath and then went to bed. He sat there staring at the geometric ceiling thinking of everything.
The lives that will be changed tomorrow. The rush to power. The rise of the strong and fall of the weak. He had suffered in his past life, and he had only managed to keep going due to his overwhelming need to survive, but after a long time of the same repeat, nearly escaping death, never pushing forward. He had lost his will and he had died…
But now!
Now he had a chance to not just survive but to transcend. To not just be another normal person, constantly riding the line between life and death…no! Now he was going to win. He was going to dominate. He was going to win so many goddamn times that even he will get tired of winning. That was what he wanted.
And with that strengthened resolve, sleep finally took him.
