"Thump!"
Marcus placed the Telekinesis Crystal back down. Although he hadn't rigorously tested it, he could already feel his Mind Power intensity had increased by two or three times. Originally, the "Mind Power" he gained from the T-Virus had been almost fully developed, but now, the Telekinesis Crystal continued to provide room for its growth. However, the crystal's personal improvement for Marcus was secondary. The most crucial aspect was that, with the Telekinesis Crystal, Marcus could now create a formidable Mind Power legion!
"But, I need to choose the candidates carefully," Marcus mused, rubbing his chin. The reason he was now the undisputed leader of the Ishimura, aside from being the savior of everyone on board, was also due to his overwhelming combat power. If someone with incredibly high talent gained Mind Power and then refused to obey his orders, things could quickly become difficult to handle.
Shaking his head, Marcus immediately had the Shield Intelligent System use the RIG System to call Isaac over. Compared to others, Isaac, who had operated with him many times, was indeed more trustworthy. Moreover, Marcus was curious to see how powerful this universe's "strongest engineer" would become after gaining Mind Power.
"What's up? What is this thing?" The hatch opened, and Isaac walked in, immediately spotting the several-meter-tall Telekinesis Crystal. "Honestly, if you brought out a star destroyer now, I wouldn't be surprised." Isaac was already accustomed to the various strange abilities Marcus displayed.
"In some ways, this thing is much more valuable than a star destroyer," Marcus stated, looking at Isaac. If this artifact were in Warhammer, Roboute Guilliman himself would likely come with the Emperor's Sword to claim it. No matter who possessed the Telekinesis Crystal, they could form an incredibly powerful army with almost no cost, making its value far greater than any star destroyer.
"So, what's this crystal for?" Isaac simply took Marcus's words as a joke; how could such a small object be more valuable than a star destroyer? Marcus didn't waste words, directly grabbing Isaac's hand and placing it on the surface of the Telekinesis Crystal. Immediately, a powerful energy surged into Isaac's body, its intense impact knocking him unconscious.
More than ten minutes later, Isaac woke up, rubbing his head. "Concentrate," Marcus instructed, "try to think about moving this cup in your mind." With that, Marcus pushed a cup in front of Isaac. Isaac obediently complied, focusing on the cup. Sure enough, the next second, the originally motionless cup floated about one centimeter off the ground, wobbling, and began to spin.
"I... I have superpowers!?" Isaac's eyes instantly widened, and the floating cup immediately fell. Although the Mind Power module on the RIG System could also do this, now, he was doing it entirely by his own power!
"I prefer to call it Psionics." Marcus then took control of a steel cup with his own Mind Power, and with a burst of strength, instantly crushed it into a crumpled ball. "Train this ability well, but for now, don't tell anyone else on the ship." Marcus patted Isaac's shoulder. "By the way, how are Jill and Carlos doing?"
Isaac, still reeling from the joy of gaining superpowers, scratched his head. "Well, everyone on the ship is very welcoming to Jill and the others, especially Sherry, because before this, they didn't even know if the inhabitants of this planet were humans. Also, due to my intervention, no one has revealed to them yet that we are not from this world—"
Marcus didn't concern himself with that, shaking his head. "Since I've brought them onto the ship, there's no need to specifically hide this from them." With that, Marcus sat back in his seat and opened the screen in front of him. What was displayed on it were three different locations: the Kermadec Trench north of New Zealand, a remote village in Spain, and a remote village in a certain Eastern European country. These were the locations of the Abyss Virus, the Las Plagas Parasite, and the Cadou Mold, respectively.
"New mission," Marcus stated. "Come, see where you want to go?" Although he didn't know the specific details, Isaac still raised his hand and pointed to the Spanish village, which looked picturesque and had a quaint, simple charm.
"I'll send the specific mission details to your RIG System. We'll depart again in 12 hours, but this time you'll have to complete this mission alone. You should use this time to check the mission details, train your Psionics, and get some good rest." With that, Marcus gently pushed Isaac, who still had a bewildered expression, out of the Captain's cabin. He ignored Isaac's loud complaints from outside.
Sitting back in his seat, Marcus sent various data on the Las Plagas Parasite and the Cult of Light to Isaac's RIG System. Compared to Mother Miranda, who possessed the Cadou Mold and whose abilities were almost mystical, the Cult of Light cultists who liked to implant parasites into themselves were indeed much easier to deal with. This mission was perfectly suited to train Isaac, who had just gained Psionics. With the Telekinesis Crystal, Marcus could now grant Mind Power to those he trusted and organize them into small teams. Later, if there were any tedious tasks like collecting items, he could directly assign them to these teams to execute, allowing Marcus to simply enjoy the fruits of their labor.
"Hmm, the Mycelium and Miranda—" Marcus clicked on the various data about the Cadou Mold and Miranda. Aside from his own impressions, most of this information came from what the Shield Bee Intelligent System had scoured from various global databases during this period, including a complete copy of the Umbrella Corporation's databases.
"But speaking of which, shouldn't Shield Bee be a defensive device? How did it become an artificial intelligence assistant now?" Looking at the wobbling Shield Bee in front of him, which had spilled all the water, Marcus mumbled softly. So far, he hadn't truly utilized Shield Bee's shield protection much. However, Marcus didn't mind, as the Titan Empire artificial intelligence carried by Shield Bee was undeniably useful.
Looking at Miranda, dressed in black with a golden mask, on the screen in front of him, a sharp glint flashed in Marcus's eyes. The Mycelium could be said to be the most mystical existence in the entire Resident Evil world. Its greatest function was to absorb and store the memories and consciousness of others. In a way, people assimilated and absorbed by the Mycelium could achieve a form of "immortality." As long as the Mycelium was not destroyed, they could continue to live in the consciousness network constructed by the Mycelium.
"It seems I'll have to go there myself," Marcus concluded. Undoubtedly, Marcus had a great personal interest in the Mycelium and planned to personally retrieve it for the Ishimura.
