Zyric could almost hear the noise of crowd subsiding. Everything in the world before his eyes was strangely still a moment.
His eyes became fixed upon one face.
"Princess Elysia," Zyric murmured. Princess Elysia, that was her name, as far as Zyric knew, by eavesdropping on the tribesmen.
He kept looking into her eyes. And Princess Elysia also recognizes Zyric.
"This is the same jerk who got me scared and ran away. Do not know where he disappeared, like a ghost." Elysia thought he was some ghost who had disappeared from in front of her as soon as he went into the light and must have died, but now he was standing right in front of her.
Prince Edgar immediately gets down from the chariot and, taking his sword, starts moving towards Zyric.
Zyric was still looking at Elysia.
The next moment, Zyric picks up a stone from the ground and throws that stone directly towards Princess Elysia.
Princess Elysia gets scared seeing all this. But that stone does not hit her. That stone goes passing right by Elysia and hits the arrow that was about to come and hit her right behind Elysia.
As soon as that arrow collides with that stone, both separate and fall at different places.
But there was something strange on that arrow.
"It has poison on it," Zyric thinks.
Some drops of it go into Elysia's eyes, and Elysia wants to scream in pain. But she is not able to.
She immediately falls down, and blood starts coming out of her eyes, and a strange shadow starts running from behind them. Prince Edgar and Prince Edward immediately go to Elysia and start handling her.
"Quickly! Take her to the Healer. We will deal with that scoundrel later," Prince Edward says to everyone.
After which, quickly, that chariot starts running fast forward towards the Palace.
Zyric looks towards the direction where that shadow had disappeared.
Zyric immediately puts Fat Insect to work and starts going straight in that direction where that man had run.
Zyric reaches that direction and looks ahead, where a man was coming forward normally, but with Fat Insect's help, Zyric had been able to recognize him.
Fat Insect, staying in the ground, could sense things above well, and that man was the one. Zyric had come to know this fact because of Fat Insect. Zyric slowly moves forward and suddenly collides with that man.
"Hey, hey, sorry," Zyric says to that man, but that man was staring at Zyric with a twisted gaze, as though Zyric had spoilt all his plans.
And for sure, Zyric had spoiled his entire plan.
Steadily, Zyric goes close to that man and grabs his hands.
"So, you are that man in black clothes, right?" Zyric says with a smile.
"Kid, it appears that you are not aware of how to get hold of a thief." Having said this, the man turns Zyric around and forces Zyric's hands behind his back, enough that he could even now break them. And he even starts trying to break them.
Zyric, who had come here acting like a hero, now looked like zero.
His hands were now about to break.
The next moment, Fat Insect comes out from under the ground and makes a hole right between that man's legs, due to which that man screams in pain.
"Ah, no!" Saying this much, that man falls on the ground and catches his foot.
Zyric takes a breath of relief, after which that Fat Insect hides inside Zyric's shirt.
"Hey, you dumbo, aim properly next time. Your aim was so bad that I myself had to change my direction. Otherwise, that girl would not have survived," Fat Insect says to Zyric.
"This... I threw, making you a stone, and was my aim really wrong?" Zyric says to the Fat Insect.
"First, pay attention to him. He will run away," that Fat Insect says to Zyric.
Zyric turns back and looks, where that man was really running, staggering.
Zyric wanted to catch this man because Zyric needed some gold coins so that he could live well here, perhaps. Or those gold coins would come in very handy in Zyric's own time. Zyric could get a lot of money and buy many things.
Zyric immediately catches that man, and that man's condition had truly become bad because of excessive blood loss. Zyric catches him and drags him directly to the Palace.
There were some soldiers standing outside the Palace.
"Stop. You cannot go inside. And who is this man? Look, our Healers are only for the palace people, not for outsiders," that soldier says to Zyric.
"Healer means doctor, okay fine. I just want to say that this is the man who tried to attack Princess Elysia, and I caught him," Zyric says with a smile to that soldier.
"What are you blabbering, boy? Is it the one who was attempting to kill the princess or to get her? He has long been doing this and long been escaping too. Prince Edgar and Prince Edward have not been able to catch him till today, and you are saying you, a newbie kid who came yesterday, caught him?" That soldier says while doubting Zyric.
The soldiers kept staring at Zyric, with doubt written clearly on their faces.
