Chapter 1 - The Package

A loud beep echoed through the ship yellow warning lights flashed in every room.

"Korra, what are you doing?" a man in a white lab coat asked from behind a steel door. He looked at a girl in a white hazmat suit through a tiny glass window in the door.

"He is cheating, I can feel it. I just have to catch him red-handed," Korra said in a mechanical voice.

"Please come back inside, Ike is not worth all this," The doctor pleaded with Korra.

"Doctor Yamada, what is going on?" a voice said from behind.

Doctor Yamada turned to see a little girl in pajamas.

"Aio, please tell Korra to come back inside."

"Sister Korra, where are you going?" Aio asked rubbing her eyes.

"I am going out for a bit, I will be back very soon," Korra explained.

"Even with the hazmat suit, it is not safe," Doctor Yamada said with both hands pressed against the door.

Soon they heard the outer containment door hiss. Korra turned around to a caramel-skinned man with a buzz cut.

"Ike?" Korra gasped.

"What are you doing?" Ike pushed a button and the outer containment door closed slowly.

Immediately it was fully closed, and mist was sprayed at them from the ceiling. After hot air blew them dry.

"I was coming to see you," Korra explained.

"I thought I told you I would be coming," Ike said, and handed Korra a shell case.

Doctor Yamada and Aio listened to their conversation. They could only hear Korra's side because her suit was connected to the inner containment communication system.

The doors opened and they walked back inside.

"Hi guys," Ike waved at Aio and the doctor.

"Hey Ike," they both responded and walked away. Meanwhile, Korra was getting out of her hazmat suit.

She walked over to a counter nearby.

"Heave!" Korra called.

"Yes, Captain Korra. How can I help you?" A mechanical voice said through an inbuilt speaker above the counter.

"Dispense a cillin for Ike," Korra commanded. A medical dispenser on the counter beeped and a pill fell into a cup.

Korra picked up the pill and put it in Ike's mouth. He swallowed it and Korra immediately started to kiss him.

"Captain, would you like a ceptive?" Heave said through the Mess hall speakers.

"No!" Korra said and resumed kissing.

"Are you sure? Today is D-day," Heave blasted out through the speakers.

"Heave! Sleep," Korra said and Ike pulled away.

"Don't mind it, it is not D-day," Korra grabbed Ike as she said.

"It's not that, I need to talk to you?"

"Are you breaking up with me?" Korra asked with eyes wide open.

"No, of course not. It is about a job. A friend of mine wants to transport some goods to Mazar," Ike explained.

"That's fine. He should just take it to the courier office and ask for me," Korra accepted, she tried to continue making out but Ike pulled away again.

"Yeah, the thing is he does not want it to go through CO," Ike added.

"Ike, I told you. I don't do those kinds of jobs anymore. Every package I transport should go through the Courier Office," Korra insisted. She turned away from Ike.

"This is the last time. Please, I would never ask you to do anything like this again," Ike pleaded.

He got in front of her and grabbed her hands.

Korra sighed, "What will I be transporting?"

"Just some prescription drugs. Nothing really illegal," Ike whispered and kissed Korra on the neck.

"No narcotic?" Korra asked with a smile on her face. Ike shook his head and Korra nodded. She dragged Ike by the hand to her room.

There Korra zipped open her jumpsuit. She got her hands out of the sleeves and pulled the jumpsuit down.

She stepped out of it. She took off the gray shirt she was wearing underneath. As she pulled the shirt her wavy dark long hair fell to her back.

She then took off her leggings. Standing in only her underwear, she watched a half-naked Ike.

He could not take her eyes off her and she loved it. Their relationship was not perfect but for a little over a year.

Ike had looked at her the same way ever since he saw her. It was something she had never experienced with anyone else.

The next morning Korra woke up to an empty bed. She got out of bed wrapped in her bedsheet.

She picked up the shell case Ike gave her the day before. She opened it to see a spherical robot.

It was in the box with other accessories. She turned it on and it flew out of her hands. As the robot drone hovered she picked up the manual and started reading.

"Home!" Korra yelled and the drone returned to her.

She walked to a table and picked up a pouch. In it were tiny tools, she used one of these tools to open a covering under the robot. She ripped out the data transmission module.

"Heave, Sync…Surge Mobile Pod," Korra looked at the box as she said.

"Surge Mobile Pod not found," Heave said through speakers in the ceiling. She took a cable out of the box and plugged it into an outlet beside her bed.

She then connected the cable to the pod.

"Try again," Korra instructed.

"Syncing," Heave said after a chime.

"Cargo doors open," Heave announced moments later.

"Show me," Korra said, and a video of the cargo door appeared on a screen. On the screen, Korra saw Ike and others she did not recognize loading boxes onto her ship.

She then went to take a shower and got ready for the day. She went to the mess hall where Aio and Doctor Yamada were already seated.

"What's for breakfast?" Korra asked and walked to a science setup of beakers and test tubes. She took a round bottle flask off a stand and poured some of its contents into a mug.

She sipped on it as she walked to the table. She sat down and the doctor served her.

"Sunny side up, sausages and toasts. Just the way you like it," the doctor said, and dropped a cup of pills by the plate.

Not long after that, Ike walked in. He sat at the table and Yamada served him without him even asking.

"We have loaded the goods. When you get to Mazar ask for the rabbi," Ike said as he ate.

"Wait, are you not coming with us?" Korra asked with a frown on her face.

"No, I have business here. I would have loved to go with you," Ike said before gulping down his juice.

"I need to leave but I will call you," Ike got up and kissed Korra on the cheek before walking out.

When he walked away she pushed away the plate and went back to her room. She returned minutes later.

"Heave, prepare for lift off," Korra said and the ship started to hum. In about an hour, they took off.

"We are headed to Marza to deliver medicine. If you need me I will be in the pit," Korra announced to Aio and Yamada.

Aio and Yamada did not say a word. They just looked at each other. Korra walked away.

About five hours into their journey they were approached by another ship.

"CCS IronLung, this is CP eighteen of the Galactic Order. Prepare to be boarded," a voice said on the radio.

When Korra heard this she ran to the cargo bay. She opened the boxes Ike had loaded. To her surprise, it was like he said, medicine.

Although they were not in their original packaging. They were in bags with an insignia of a feather.

"Why do the Circle Police want to search me?" Korra thought.

"Heave, prepare for guests," Korra instructed.

"Sure Captain," Heave responded.

Korra then went to the containment door to welcome the police. After they were purified the door opened.

Before she could react, she was shot. She fell on her back. Still conscious, she watched as a five-man tactical team entered the ship.
