He finds a hidden entrance, concealed by overgrowth, and slips inside. The interior is dark, filled with dust and discarded equipment. A faint blue light emanates from the upper levels.

Valentine moves cautiously up a spiral staircase, following the blue light. As he reaches the upper level, he sees a laboratory set up in what was once the observatory's dome. A man in his late 60s, with wild white hair and intense eyes, works at a console.
