"So, Mrs. Lorrell, or well, Mrs. El. Are you roaming around alone?" Perry asked, her tone betraying her curiosity. It had in fact been a while since she had seen an adult— alive.
Lorrell shoved one of her hands into her pockets, and smiled. "Ah, actually, that reminds me.." her voice trailed off, as she looked around, as if expecting someone to pop up.
"Actually, I'm with my husband. Though, I'm not sure where he ran off to."
"You mean me? I didn't run off. I went to kill those zombies. You actually left me allalone." A man, quite tall and seemingly the same age as her, turned the corner, walking up to them.
The man had dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes. Surprisingly stunning cleanliness too.
"Oh, hey. That's him.. Ty, my husband." she introduced, looking back at the group.
"Who are these kids?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Perry took initiative and smiled.
But before she could say anything, Lorrell spoke.
"A group I met just now, actually. They're really sweet," she explained, looking over the group.

They all now sat inside the tech store— again for Perry's group. The couple was explaining why they were there, after being introduced to everyone in the group. Which took a while of name memorizing.
"Yeah, we stumbled upon the floor, and decided to stay there. It was mainly a coincidence, though." Lorrell said, leaning against the aisle, with Ty sitting down beside her foot.
"Well, actually… my amazing skill to find safe places is just awesome. That's why." Perry almost thought it was Christian speaking with how cocky Ty was. Could be mistaken for him.
"It sucks. We circled around the same part five times because I listened to you." Lorrell retorted, rolling her eyes.
"She kind of shares some qualities with you, Perry." Waylen stated, without giving any further elaboration or hint on what that quality could possibly be.
"Which is.. what?" Axelle asked, arms crossed pacing back and forth with boredom.
"Her quick-witted replies. I mean, I can't lie, usually Perry wins the arguements—"
"She does not." Christian almost immediately replied, cutting Waylen off.
Lorrell raised an eyebrow, looking between Waylen, Christian and Perry. Interesting. She thought.
"Yes I do. Waylen's actually right." Perry defended, smirking a bit.
"Okay— let me get this straight. You do not win every argument, and sure as hell don't give witty comebacks. They're all rushed and lame." Christian scoffed, trying to seem composed, but the slight twitch of his eyes gave his annoyance away.
"..Hah." Ty snickered. He almost started laughing. With no explanation, he was just snickering.
Everyone just gave each other glances, staying silent. "What's so funny? Did I miss a joke?" Maverick finally spoke, when Ty burst out laughing.
"No, Maverick.. you didn't." Waylen mumbled to Maverick, rather quietly. "If that's the case, then we all probably missed the joke," he added.
"Ah, sorry, guys. It's just.. I couldn't help but remember back in the day when me and El used to fight. Just like this." Ty remained amused, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"..I always won. Actually, though." Lorrell stated firmly, leaving no room to argue about it. Afterall, by the way she said it so confidently, there wasn't much room to doubt it.
".. That's not the point."
"Kinda is," Ty huffed, not liking where this was going. He placed his arm on his propped up knee.
Meanwhile this happened, Perry scooted back, towards Rexine, Ruby and Eli who were having a completely different conversation.
"Hey.. Have you guys seen Dave and Darren? Did they go somewhere?" Perry asked, butting into their conversation.
Ruby stopped talking and without a word glanced around the room. She had been wondering for a while why Maverick and Dave weren't bantering or bickering like usual.
"Nope, I haven't seen them." She shrugged.
"Sorry mate, me neither." Eli said, his eyes also going over the people in the room.
Rexine only shook her head when Perry asked. Well— oh boy. She was going to give them a good scolding when they got back. Hopefully… they don't recklessly roam around and get infected. That way the only scolding Perry could give them would be physical.
"Seriously? None of you have seen them?" Perry groaned, leaning back against whatever was behind her.
Axelle, nosy as ever, had overheard their conversation. "..Dave and Darren ran off? I'm surprised they didn't take Maverick with them." she sarcastically stated, leaning back on her arms peacefully.
That was before Waylen in the back, not even in the conversation, decided to be annoying. He pushed Axelle's supporting arms. Not a light or playful shove, like he damn near shoved it so she fell.
Yeah— back to the conversation. Ty and Lorrell had stopped talking and turned to Perry.
"Dave and Darren?" Lorrell asked, the curiosity in her voice evident. "You didn't mention them before."
Perry kind of frown-smirked, before scratching her head. "Uhm.. because they didn't seem to be present at the time," she stated. "They're my two twin foster brothers."
Ty looked at Perry, and was about to say something, even opening his mouth to do so. But instead kept quiet.
"They.. disappeared. Kinda, you know. Without any notice."
And then… finally, Maverick spoke up. "Actually,—" Maverick, who was playing with a smartwatch he stole, interrupted. "Dave told me he'd 'be right back', while we were talking to Lorrell right after meeting her.
Perry stared at him. Long and hard. "Sorry?" She politely, too politely.
Maverick stuttered, opening and closing his mouth a few times. He resorted to chuckling nervously.
"Well.. Uh.." he struggled, not knowing how to deal with Perry's intimidating stare.
"And why didn't you tell me before?" Perry huffed, pinching the bridge of her nose. Maverick stared at her and sighed.
"Do you at least know where they went?"
"See… that's the thing—"
"Yeah, okay, stop. I get it, you weren't paying attention."
Silence. No really dared speak, especially when Perry seemed a bit more than pissed off. Except Christian, of course.
"Ok, well what now? Do we go find them? Or do you think they'll be fine on their own?"
"They're bloody 14. Do you think they'll be fine?" Eli scoffed, adjusting the glasses on the top of his head.
"... Don't get smart with me." Christian gave Eli a look, before averting his gaze.
"..Guess we'll have to go." Perry said, though it really was more of a statement than a suggestion or request.
