Chapter 4 - Terms before vow

Zoe looked at him and said sincerely.

"Anyway, this is a commercial marriage. After we get married, I don't care about your love affairs. And I can also promise that I will be a qualified Ms. Pei and never do anything to shame you." York Pei sneered.

"Were you satisfied with this marriage? Miss Su, I didn't say that l'm satisfied with you. I think you fell aboard just in time, because I didn't want to marry you either. The reputation of my family has nothing to do with me. I'm fine with others' mockery. Let them laugh. Do they dare to bite me?"

Zoe Su was stunned. This guy was actually more difficult to deal with than she imagined. Didn't he care?

"What's more, marrying you, the joke stick of the celebrity ladies, is enough to make everyone laugh. Is there a difference?"

It was frank contempt and disdain.

Zoe thought about what the old her had done. Indeed, maybe York Pei thought that what she did was a good way to solve this problem.

Even now she wanted to marry him, he might not necessarily want to marry her.

"I only want three years. York Pei, give me three years. I can sign a marriage agreement with you before we get our marriage license. Three years later, I will get out of this marriage unconditionally."

Zoe clenched her teeth and tightened her fist. She stared at York and said, "I won't take a penny with me when I leave, including my dowry, and all property we have gained in these three years. But within these three years, I will be your wife!"

York's pupils suddenly shrank, and he said with a faint smile as usual, "Zoe Su, the costs are enormous. To protect the reputation of the Su's, and ask for three years of peace, do you know how much you will have to sacrifice? When you got swept out fo my door, you will have nothing."

"Anyway, you know about the situation of my family. In my grandpa's will, if I marry you, I will yet half of the family property as a dowry. But if I don't, then I will get nothing and that part of the family property will be left to my father. And the biggest possibility is that he will give it to the bastards. Even if I give it to you, I will never give it to them."

Zoe Su said frankly, "Moreover, if I don't marry you, I will be swept out now. Anyway, there are still three years left. It's me who made a good bargain, right?"

It was just a commercial marriage.

Naturally, Zoe would tell him clearly about the benefits. She needed the dowry, the status of Ms. Pei, and the identity of the eldest daughter of the Su's. Only in this way could she get revenge.

To get revenge, she could sacrifice marriage, even sacrifice her lifetime happiness, and do anything at all costs. Moreover, what is happiness?

"Ha-ha, fucking romance! I, Zoe Su, get the chance to live a second life. I absolutely don't believe the so-called love, and I don't expect it as well."

What she needed is to get revenge and protect her loved ones. Even if she was swept out three years later, as long as her revenge succeeded, she would have no regrets in her life.

"You're so smart. It turns out that the truth is far from the rumor."

York looked at her with his head tilted to one side. He got a little more interested in her, and said, "It's a no-lose deal, It seems that I have no reason to refuse."

Zoe Su was greatly relieved as soon as York Pei said yes. She quickly took out a contract from the plastic bag and handed it to him.

"This is a postnuptial agreement. My name has been signed. Please put on your name." Zoe Su handed a pen to him.

These things had been prepared before she came.

York opened it and had a quick look. It had written very clearly.

The first term of the agreement was that if they got divorced three years later, Zoe Su would get nothing from this marriage, and all the property would belong to York Pei.

In addition to this, there were also a few terms that caught York's attention. Second, without the consent of Zoe Su, York Pei shall not have a sexual relationship with Zoe Su.

Third, both parties shall assume duties and responsibilities of husband and wife.

York hissed, "Wasn't it the duty of a couple to sleep together?"

He looked at Zoe with his long narrow eyes, then realized that Zoe obviously paid a lot of attention to this matter, for there was some uneasiness and worry in her dark eyes even her face seemed quiet calm.

It would be boring if things between men and women were reluctant. The women in his bed always came to him willingly by themselves.

The postnuptial agreement was simple but clear, and had no loopholes. So it had legal effect.

York picked up the pen and wrote his name on it. He asked casually, "Did you write this draft by yourself?"

"Yes. What's the matter? Is there any problem?" Zoe asked.

York threw back the contract and gave her a meaningful smile.

"Not at all."

Of course there was a problem! Big problem! An idiot could never draw up such a flawless contract, could prepare the conditions that he would agree before saw him, and even printed the contract. It seemed that his little wife was somewhat interesting.

After York signed the contract, Zoe grabbed his hand and said,"Let's go, get the marriage license! The Civil Affairs Bureau will get off work in a while."

"Wait!" York grabbed Zoe's hand, gave her a hard pull and she fell on his thigh. He held her in his strong arms, and a charming smile appeared on his handsome face.

Then he took a sip of the red wine and suddenly sealed her lips.
