Chapter 98 - Chapter 99 – Rain of Black Feathers

Dust still hung in the air as MC, Minho, and Godon approached the collapsed form of the Raven Tyrant outside the fortress. The giant bird's breaths were ragged, almost like low growls. Its half-open eyes still burned with hatred.

"Don't give it a chance," MC said coldly.

Godon stepped forward, sword raised high. With one decisive slash, he ended the sky-lord's reign. The massive body went limp, wings sprawling across the ground, black blood pooling beneath.

A sharp wind blew, scattering great black feathers from the carcass. They swirled through the air like dark snow, drifting slowly over Goblin's Grove. For a moment, every goblin paused, gazing upward—the silent fall of feathers marking the end of the terror that had shadowed them for weeks.

Draksra and his scouts swept the perimeter to ensure no other flock approached. Moji directed the shamans to tend to the wounded, while Minho inspected the fortress wall. "The eastern side's taken heavy damage," he reported. "But at least now, we can repair it without being attacked."

MC's eyes stayed on the lifeless Raven Tyrant. "Cut the wings. Take the beak. Gather every feather. Everything will be useful—whether for weapons or trade."

The warriors set to work, carving valuable parts from the massive corpse. Black blood darkened the soil, but no one flinched—they all knew the worth of every piece.

By sunset, Goblin's Grove was bathed in a warm orange glow. At the main gate, the Tyrant's largest feathers stood like trophies—a mark of victory. That night, the goblins celebrated with a modest feast—roasting slabs of the great bird's meat over the fire, their laughter breaking free for the first time since the threat began.

Minho sat beside MC, offering a cup of hot drink. "We've won… but I'm certain there's a bigger enemy out there."

MC stared into the bonfire, his face calm but eyes alight. "If something comes… we already know how to welcome it."

Beyond the walls, the forest returned to quiet. Yet far in the distance, a faint cry echoed—a warning that Goblin's Grove was not entirely safe.
