The heavy beat of wings shook the air. From the western horizon, the Raven Tyrant appeared, its wings spanning nearly twelve meters, followed by five massive bird escorts. Its glowing red eyes were locked straight onto Goblin's Grove.
"All units, ready!" MC shouted from the watchtower.
Two escort birds dove first, heading straight for the rice fields. MC signaled with his hand. The trap posts were pulled, and the giant steel net shot into the air, tangling both birds mid-flight. Their shrieks filled the sky as the chains ensnared them, dragging them down to the ground.
"Godon! Execute!" MC commanded.
Godon led the warriors to finish the grounded birds with spears and blades, their black blood soaking the earth. Elsewhere, Draksra and his scouts peppered the third and fourth birds with arrows from a distance, making it hard for them to approach.
Suddenly, a huge shadow swept over MC. The Raven Tyrant dove, its beak aimed straight at the watchtower. Moji, standing below, raised his staff. "Wind Push!" A burst of magic deflected the strike, giving MC a split-second to leap to the far side of the tower.
The Raven Tyrant wheeled in the air, diving again—this time toward the main gate. Minho stepped forward, his body wrapped in the glow of Iron Wall. The massive talons slammed into the invisible shield, the impact shaking the ground. Minho pushed with all his strength, throwing the great bird off balance and into the fence posts.
"Now!" MC yelled.
The warriors loosed a volley of arrows, several striking the Tyrant's wings and neck. Its screech rattled their ears, but it still tried to take flight. Moji cast another wind spell, this time lifting MC high into the air. Using the momentum, MC drove his spear deep into the bird's shoulder.
The Raven Tyrant reeled, its left wing snapping as it slammed into the cliff outside the fortress. Dust and stone erupted as its massive body crashed into the ground.
The goblins erupted into cheers, but MC didn't join them. "Make sure it doesn't get back up!"
