Chapter 29 - Field of Swords

The sound of two weapons clashing in the forest can be heard. Out of the trees, Sebastian comes flying from an impact, and his sword is wrapped in a red light.

The sword turns into a handle with long chains holding a ball of steel. Sebastian channels his energy into the chains and swings them only to hit the tall half-naked hairy man right on his face.

He spits blood on the soil and laughs. Sebastian isn't having it, and he says, "Stop fooling around before I cut your ugly smile off your face."

"Are you sure, you want to do that? You don't want to kill me because I am the only one who knows about that Felicia."

"Then don't mess with me. Tell me where she is," Sebastian said.

Argran chuckles, and he runs toward Sebastian with his warhammer ready to swing.

Argran groans and looks down, only to see chains wrapping around his right leg. Sebastian pulls him up from the ground, slamming him against many trees.

A row of trees falls in half after Argran collided against them. A red knife flies past Argran, and Sebastian appears above Argran's face.

Sebastian feasts on the fear written on Argran's face. "Here I am, thinking that you are a splendid warrior but it turns out, I am just fighting a fraud warrior."

Argran's eyes widen, and he swings his other fist towards his chest but his hand falls from its place.

"Wrong move," Sebastian said while holding a sword in his other hand.

Argran slams his hammer against his chest using his other hand, releasing a soundwave.

Blood falls from Sebastian's nose as the wave sends him flying away.

"Fuck! I thought I had him!" Sebastian stood slowly but he fell on his knee.

He sees Agran holding the small cut on his chest, and smoke comes out of it as it closes.

Then, a new hand forms, and Argran inspects it. "Ah! Thank you for allowing me to have a new hand. It feels like I am reborn!"

Argran stares at Sebastian. "What makes you so persistent that you don't want to stop fighting me?"

Sebastian can only move his hand, and he pushes himself. "What makes me persistent? It's because my comrade is in danger! Why should I give up if I am the only one who can save her?!"

Argran throws his warhammer at him. Sebastian grits his teeth as he braces himself to face the weapon.

"I can't teleport if I am paralyzed!" Sebastian clenched his fists, "But I don't need anyone! I can carry myself even if I am alone!"

A giant holds the back of Sebastian's shirt and throws him aside. The warhammer hits him, destroying him completely.

"Alone? You don't have to do that!"

Sebastian turns his eyes beside him and sees Nash standing while holding his large paintbrush.

"When you came under my wing, I know you have a head as hard as steel," Nash chuckled, "you can lay down your guard around me. I will protect you."

Nash swings his paintbrush, and he creates five giants that run toward Argran.

"This is my fight!" Sebastian kept pushing himself back to his feet but ended up falling.

Argran slams his warhammer, killing one of the giants. Nash begins to run forward as he draws a large bird, and he hops on its back.

"No!" Sebastian yelled.

Nash jumps from the eagle, and in front of his eyes, Argran is being punched by giants from side to side.

Nash keeps swinging his paintbrush while he runs toward Argran. A sly smile manifests on Nash's face, and his drawing turns into a python.

The python wraps around Argran's body, holding him tightly. He grits his teeth and the giants continue punching him.

"I can't beat my chest!" Argran yelled.

A punch sends him stumbling, and the python bites Argran's neck. He tries to move his hands to beat his chest but the python's grip makes it difficult.

"L-Let me go, damn snake!" Argran said as he groaned with every punch hitting his face.

An uppercut hits his chin, and Argran stumbles backwards.

His eyes become red, and he lets out a roar, and the creatures made of ink burst like bubbles but a round white balloon explodes in front of his eyes.

The ink hits his eyes, and Argran holds his eyes as he screams in pain. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!"

Argran opens his eyes, and they're all red. He roars at Nash, sending a soundwave that pushes him away; the ground around him is breaking as pieces of it are flying away.

Nash tries to draw but the wave makes it difficult for him to move his brush. Argran swings his other hand as Sebastian's eyes widen.

"NO!" Sebastian pushed himself back to his feet.

His eyes are widening as Nash flies past him with bruises on his face, and blood falling from the cut on his forehead.

"CAPTAIN NASH!" Sebastian froze in his tracks.

Argran laughs while jumping up and down with his hands wiggling. Sebastian clenches his hands as red energy covers the blade of his sword.

A memory enters Sebastian's mind. In that memory, inside the headquarters, Sebastian is standing behind Nash who's looking over the snowy terrain from the window.

Nash said calmly. "I heard that you slaughtered those criminals."

Confirming those words, Sebastian relaxes his hands from clenching. "I couldn't stop myself. They committed a crime, they killed many people!"

Nash looks down, and he lets out a deep breath. "But it is not in your hands to end a life. James should have given them to the authorities but you couldn't stop yourself."

Sebastian's fingers are folding as his hands shake. "I did the right thing! I persecuted them! And brought justice to the humans!"

"By killing them?! Your sense of justice is meaningless," Nash turned his head to his shoulder, his eyes stared at Sebastian, "your sense of justice has brought you nothing but dirt in your hands after you killed them."

After those memories have finished showing in his mind, Sebastian's eyes are fixated on his hands.

"I'm sorry, captain. You taught me what's right, and that is not to kill a criminal again. But after seeing you get beaten."

Sebastian twirls his sword and moves his eyes slowly at the giant half-naked hairy man who continues to celebrate Nash's downfall.

"The Art of Creation: Field of Blades."

Sebastian channels his energy into his hands as his veins glow red. Multiple flickers of red colors appear, and the occurrence puts a halt to Argran's laugh.

He looks around him and sees many swords with their blade dug into the ground. Argran scans all the swords with his eyes, and he turns his eyes back at Sebastian.

"Is this a joke? Foolish human!" Argran laughed.

"How about now?" Sebastian whispered in his ear.

Argran's eyes grow wide, and he turns his head behind but a blade pierces out of his throat.

Sebastian who's standing on Argran's nape disappears, and he appears beside the sword next to Argran.

"You fool!" Argran swung his warhammer as he turned towards Sebastian.

Inhaling deeply, Sebastian jumps before the warhammer hits him. He twirls in the air before hitting Argran's head with a hammer.

The sword in Sebastian's other hand turns to a hammer, and he strikes it on Argran's face. Sebastian with serious eyes turns his head from side to side, cracking his bones.

Sebastian feels a vibration from the ground, and he teleports to the other sword on the ground as Argran hits the ground with his hammer.

Sebastian appears beside Argran, and he says, "You swing your hammer like an old man."

Argran groans after Sebastian kicks his face. Sebastian flickers his fingers, hence, he teleports rapidly beside each sword.

Argran only feels the pain from the cuts occurring on his body, and every strike from the warhammer.

"Last hit." Sebastian appeared in front of Argran's face.

Sebastian combines all his swords on the field into a large hammer, and slams it against Argran's face which sends him flying towards the trees.

Argran's eyes are white as his mouth is open while lying down on the ground. Sebastian is standing beside him, and he points his sword at Argran.

"You should be thankful that I spared you. I'll take you to questioning," Sebastian stared at Argran, "you don't deserve any lawyer, you piece of shit."
