Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: prologue

Chapter 0: Prologue

The sky split open without warning.

There was no thunder, no omen, no divine announcement. One moment, the clouds drifted lazily above the city. The next, something enormous forced its way through the atmosphere, tearing the heavens apart as if they were paper.

[It was a tower.]

A colossal structure of unknown material, black and seamless, descending slowly from the sky. Its surface reflected neither light nor color, swallowing everything around it. As it fell, the air screamed. Windows shattered. Buildings collapsed under pressure alone.

People watched.

People screamed.

And then the tower landed.people who were going for their daily lives stoped.as they fekt the sky torn up.

They panic as they ran and fled

The impact erased the cities.dry the rivers as it spread all over the land ,the aftershocks of the tower landing rippels of tremors to the earth.

Shockwaves rippled across continents. Earthquakes followed in every direction, oceans recoiled, and communication lines died in seconds. What remained of the city was no longer recognizable as human civilization.

The tower did not crumble.

It did not crack.

Instead, it sank.

[Like a nail being driven into the world.]

From the tower came monsters.they destroyed everything in thier way.

Bodies piled up like a mountain.

This was the moment Earth ended.a moment that the world has fallen

*Record of a broken world: fragment 1*

---

Later, humanity give it a name.

Ark.

Not because it saved them.

But because everything that remained was forced to revolve around it.

The first message appeared moments after the impact.

> [World integration complete.]

[Initializing System.]

It was not a message.itwas a notification.

It tell the people of all the earth what happened.

It all appear on a blue window in front of people's eyes floating in midair. No one could touch it.

No one understood what it meant.

But everyone could see it.

A translucent window hovered before human eyes, indifferent and precise. No hallucination, no technology anyone recognized.

> [Survival probability recalculated.]

[Proceed?]

Those who rejected it died first.the people who reject the tower summons dies tragically as their blood dyed the ground as monsters hunt them down

Monsterw were invisible as they couldn't even see what happened.

---

Monsters emerged from the Ark soon after.

Not invaders from space. Not demons from myth. They were things that did not belong to Earth's logic. Their existence alone twisted the environment. Gravity bent. Sound distorted. The laws people trusted quietly stepped aside.

Cities fell one after another.

Governments collapsed within weeks.

Humanity learned quickly: the Ark was not an enemy to be destroyed.

They need a hope for the humanity's survival as tower walkers appears..

As they walk into tower on it's summons.

And paths demanded walkers.the one who walked on it ,the one who could save humanity and save earth.but the walkers couldn't ,there were some who betrayed humanity and as the records say

"Those who saw it salvation were swallowed and those who saw it as freedom got chained"

[Records of a broken world: fragment 013]

---

Ash was nobody when the Ark descended.

He was not brave. Not talented. Not chosen.

Ash survived because he ran when others froze, and learned when others screamed. He accepted the System not out of hope, but because refusing it felt like suicide.

Ash saw his status window.he muttered:

"And I climbed"

Everyone did.

Some climbed for power.

Some for answers.

Some because there was nowhere else to go.

The Ark towered endlessly above the ruins of Earth, its interior unfolding into impossible spaces, trials layered upon trials. Every ascent left bodies behind. Every floor demanded something different.

Humanity adapted.we tried to adapt as some got succeed while others…

Humanity broke.

Humanity tried.

Humanity persists…

Ash felt heavy with sorrow as he remembers his past and his family

"I must see it to the end to see what's beyond" ash muttered as he look up at the endless tower.

As the last survivors who were brave enough to hold their grounds and live to see it to the end got the last notification from user Interface

"Ash held his breath at this moment of truth as he was eager to know about what's beyond.whats the reward as the notification sound…"

[The System updated.]

> [Primary harvest complete.]

[World: Earth — status: Depleted.]

Everyone froze shocked and couldn't believe

The words didn't make sense at first.

Then more windows unfolded, layer after layer, no longer meant for human eyes. Data streamed past faster than he could read — conversion rates, planetary output, biological yield.

"Ash felt his mind losing as the truth realization falls onto him and everyone."

Earth wasn't abandoned.

It was consumed.

The Ark had not tested humanity.

It had farmed it.

Every death.

Every climb.

Every struggle.

All of it had been converted into energy and siphoned upward, feeding a structure far larger than the tower itself.

Everyone felt his stomach turn.

Around him all of them people , the remaining survivors were suddenly restrained by invisible force. Their bodies lifted from the ground, frozen mid-scream.

A new presence descended.

Not physically.

But spiritually.

Administrators.

The sole authority in the tower.

Their voices overlapped, mechanical yet amused, echoing directly inside the mind.

> [Harvest successful.]

[Assets prepared for distribution.]

Distribution?

Everyone felt betrayed.

Ash watched in horror as the System reclassified the survivors.

> [Designation updated.]

[Human units → Combat Assets]

[Value determined by adaptation rate and kill efficiency]

Portals opened across the broken sky.

Beyond them lay worlds bathed in unfamiliar light.

There were many worlds ,not one but many as ash count 13 on his mind.

Ash read the name of the world whose portal was in front of him.

Eridion was one of them.

Ash felt it immediately — immense, ancient, watching.

Everyone froze as they struggling

> [Purchasers confirmed.]

[World Gods of Eridion have acquired multiple high-grade units.]

Sold.

"They were being sold."

Not rescued.

Not chosen.

No choice

Auctioned as warriors, slaves dressed in the language of rebirth.

Ash felt pain all over his body as he tried to resist

Rage burned through Ash's chest, raw and suffocating.

Everyone got angry as the pressure from administrators hit into their bodies they couldn't move

"Stop," he said.

As everyone froze administrator in black suit with a cap check his interface as he looks at everyone and paused at ash

The Administrators paused.

> [Unit Ash — anomaly detected.]

[You have exceeded expected emotional thresholds.]

Ash laughed.as he shout in rage

"We are not your slaves you can buy and sell"

Ash got angry as he lungs at the administrators as he activate his skills one by one,ash took the sword out of his sheath as he activate the skill[divine sword].

It wasn't sane.

A golden radience brighten up the sword as ash s wave it towards administrators.as he strike it

"So that's it," he whispered. "Earth was just fuel… and we're just merchandise."

The Ark administrators responded.

The administrator in black says through his helmet

"You are all make as a warrior by your world energy. It gave you power.all the deaths are on you.so just shut up and expect your fate."

Energy surged through its core, preparing the final transfer.

Ash moved.he says.

"I won't"

He didn't know how.

He didn't plan it.

He just use his speed as he use his mana to activate the skill and pierce the Energy circuit as all the energy leaked from the circuit as waves of destruction starts as flame and explosions rose in the tower.

He reached inward — past fear, past reason — and seized the one thing the System had never accounted for.

"Refusal."

The energy conduits screamed as Ash tore into them. The Ark's core destabilized instantly, feedback ripping through every channel that fed on Earth's remains.

> [ERROR]

[ENERGY NETWORK COLLAPSE]

[ADMINISTRATOR AUTHORITY—]

The message cut off.

Light fractured.

The Ark howled.

For the first time since its arrival, the tower cracked.

Not from outside force.

From within.

Ash stood at the center of the collapse, blood pouring from his nose and ears as the Ark's harvested energy detonated inward. The structure that had devoured a planet began devouring itself.

"It's all came to this' ash said

"I hate it "as ash shout and vanish in a portal.

"No no you ruined everyth.."

Administrators vanished mid-sentence.

Portals destabilized.

The auction ended in chaos.

The Ark died. The grand tower fell.

The grand tower of triels and despair ,the one who never budge has been destroyed by a mortal.

---

When Ash opened his eyes, the air was different.

He saw his body "it's bloody 'he whisper

Heavy.

Alive.

Hostile.

Pain all over his body as he shout ahhhh

As all the birds fly away from the trees by his scream.

He lay on scorched crimson ground beneath a foreign sky.

The Ark was gone.

Earth was gone.

And above him, something vast shifted.

"A landscape he doesn't know."

"It's night."

He says as he saw the three moons in the sky one red and two white revolving around each other with red in the center.

Not distant.

Not symbolic.

Real.

Watching the anomaly.

y that had destroyed what was never meant to be destroyed.

> [World identified: Eridion]

Ash pushed himself to his feet, shaking, furious, alive.

"Good," he muttered.

"If you bought a war…"

He looked up at the sky.

"…then I'll be one to put an end to this."

And Ash stepped forward into Eridion.

y that had destroyed what was never meant to be destroyed.
