"Sign here when you're done," Larry said, pointing to an empty space at the end.
Herag checked again, confirmed that all the required information was filled in, and signed his name at the bottom.
"Herrag Merlin."
The form instantly ignited with blue flames. Herag subconsciously retracted his hand, and then found that the flame had no temperature.
The flames spread quickly and the entire form was quickly burned out, leaving no ash.
"Welcome to Moonglade." Larry said lightly.
Jennifer tore out a small piece of paper, then picked up a stamp and stamped it heavily. The force was so strong that Herag wondered if she was afraid of damaging the paper.
"Go to the supplies office to pick up your things." Jennifer handed the note out the window.
Herag took a look and saw a simple message about himself and a list of supplies on the note.
"A wizard apprentice robe."
"One magic web rune."
"Three vouchers for optional courses."
"A dormitory in the northern forest area."
"A library card with first-floor access."
"One magic stone."
…
The list is quite long and contains a lot of things.
There were a lot of people at the window of the Materials Affairs Office and a long line had formed.
"Mr. Larry!"
"Good evening, Mr. Larry!"
"It seems this is a newcomer, and a handsome guy at that!"
"Mr. Larry, when will your Herbology classes start again, or can I pay for them separately?"
…
Those in line were all wizard apprentices. When someone noticed Larry, others turned around and greeted him.
Larry said expressionlessly, "I've been busy with experiments lately. I don't have time for classes or tutoring."
"Mr. Larry, do you teach Herbology?" Herag asked.
"I usually teach Herbology and Potions, but I haven't had time to teach them lately," Larry said.
After waiting in line for a while, Hellagur signed a list and received his own pile of things.
The wizard apprentice robe is gray-brown and feels very soft. This robe has a certain magical defense ability, which can reduce the damage of spells.
The magic web rune is a rectangular transparent crystal. After Herag inputs magic power, a virtual screen is projected on the crystal, with options such as friends, class schedules, tasks, tavern chat, etc.
Larry took out a similar rune and said, "The Magic Net is a wide-area spell jointly developed by our wizard organization in Carragher. It is mainly used for information transmission. The Magic Net has been established for two thousand years.
"The Runestone is very important. You must learn how to use it. Through the Runestone, you can connect with other wizards. You can view courses, sign up for courses, and browse tasks posted by others. In the upper right corner is your ID. Others can add you as a friend and contact you through this ID. It has many functions. You should learn more about it."
"Isn't this a communicator?" Herag got the hang of it quickly and even took the initiative to add Larry as a friend.
The course selection vouchers are three green cards with the Moonlight Forest logo on the front and instructions for use on the back.
Larry introduced: "Many formal wizards in the organization will offer various courses. You need to sign up for these courses at least a week in advance. You can check the course schedule to see which courses are available this month, and you can also find the time and location of the courses."
"Regular course registration requires gold coins or magic stones. Some courses have specific requirements from the instructor, such as requiring you to provide certain materials before registration. However, with these three course vouchers, you can register for any regular course."
"You need to think carefully before using these three coupons. I suggest you sign up for some basic courses. You won't understand the advanced courses even if you sign up, so it's a waste of opportunity."
Herag asked, "Does Mr. Larry have any recommended courses?"
Larry pondered, "Mr. Oleg Zotev's 'Basic Principles of Spell Model Construction' and Ms. Lori Evans' 'Basic Principles of Meditation' are both suitable for you. Those two are definitely the right choices. As for the others, you'll need to decide what to study based on your individual circumstances."
"Thank you, Mr. Larry. If your Herbology and Potions courses start, I will definitely sign up." Herag said with a smile.
"I suggest you take these two courses later. You need sufficient financial support. Without money, you can't do many experiments. Those materials are very expensive." Larry said seriously.
Herag took out the black magic stone and asked, "How much is the magic stone worth in gold coins?"
"The market price is one hundred gold coins, but no one would sell magic stones for gold coins. If you do, others will think you're a fool. Many transactions between wizards are settled in magic stones, not gold coins."
Larry took Hellagur out of the affairs hall and headed to the dormitory in the northern forest area.
Heragh produced a brass key with a small wooden plaque attached to the end. The plaque read: "Northern Woods, Room 443."
The interior of Moonlight Glade was even larger than what Herag had seen from the outside. He walked out of the office hall, through the streets and alleys, and it took him a full half hour to reach the northern forest dormitory.
The northern forest area is a mountain forest with dense trees, but there are three-story small houses scattered among the mountains and forests.
These are dormitories for wizard apprentices, one for each apprentice.
On the way to Room 443, Hellagur discovered that each of these houses was different, with a variety of colors. Some of the houses even had vegetable gardens next to them, which looked well-maintained.
Larry explained, "Once a house is assigned to you, it's yours, so you can modify it to your liking."
"Where do you live, Mr. Larry?" Herag asked curiously.
"I live in town," Larry said.
"In town?"
Larry stopped and looked back at the buildings behind him. "The area we just walked through is called the town. Only official wizards can live there. The northern forest area is generally provided for wizard apprentices, but some people stay in the northern forest area after being promoted to official wizards. It all depends on personal preference."
"The houses in this town all have space magic, so the interior space is actually quite large."
"I see." Herag himself prefers these isolated houses in the mountains and forests, which are quieter.
"This is it. My mission is completed. If you still have any questions, you can go to the affairs hall for consultation. Someone there will answer your questions." After Larry finished speaking, he turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared.
"Mr. Larry gets off work really quickly." Herag didn't have time to thank him.
He looked back at his house, a three-story detached house surrounded by dense jungle, with a stream flowing not far away.
Apart from lacking some worldly atmosphere, this kind of environment is very suitable for the life of wizards. After all, wizards need a quiet environment for meditation and experimental research.
