Emma rushed into the hospital, her heart pounding with anxiety and tension. As soon as she entered, she went straight to the reception desk, speaking with a voice full of nervousness:
"Camiila Andrew, she came in to give birth. Which room is she in?"
The nurse checked the records in front of her, then looked up and smiled, saying:
"She's in the delivery room right now, and her husband is with her."
A slight shiver ran through Emma, and she nodded in thanks before heading to the waiting area. She quickly glanced around but didn't see any family members yet. She sat down on one of the chairs, trying to calm her rapid breaths, but the worry kept gnawing at her.
Suddenly, she felt a movement beside her. She turned to see Victor sitting quietly, holding her hand in his, his eyes filled with a warm, reassuring gaze.
"Everything will be fine, Emma," he said softly, gently squeezing her hand.
She closed her eyes for a moment, breathing deeply, trying to absorb some of his calm, but before she could respond, a small but strong sound echoed through the place... the cry of a newborn.
Emma's eyes widened in surprise, and tears filled them before she could stop them. She placed her hand over her mouth, overwhelmed by a flood of mixed emotions... happiness, amazement, relief, and pure joy. She found herself bending forward to hug Victor tightly, as if seeking support in this emotional moment.
But after a few seconds, she realized what she had done, and quickly pulled away, wiping her tears. Victor looked at her with a gentle smile, as if he understood exactly what she was feeling without needing any explanation.
Before she could say anything, the door to the delivery room opened, and Jacob emerged, his face tired but glowing with happiness... the happiness of a father who had just seen his child for the first time.
As soon as his eyes met Emma's, he didn't hesitate for a moment. He rushed toward her and embraced her tightly, as if he had been waiting for this moment.
"Emma... I'm glad you came. Camila and I really wanted you with us today."
She wrapped her arms around him, smiling through her tears:
"I wouldn't have missed this day for the world."
But as he pulled away slightly, his eyes landed on Victor, and a look of surprise crossed his face, before he remembered that Camilla was his sister, so it was natural for him to be here.
He walked up to Victor and patted his shoulder with a warm smile:
"Congrats, you're an uncle now."
Victor laughed lightly and responded in the same calm tone:
"And congratulations to you, you're a father now."
After a while, everyone gathered inside the room, where Camilla was resting on the bed, and everyone was gazing at the little baby, Kaya, with loving eyes.
In a quiet moment, Emma secretly took out her phone and wrote a short message to Victor:
"It's time to announce to everyone."
He looked at her from a distance and smiled before nodding in agreement.
As everyone exchanged conversations, Emma stood up, her voice filled with both tension and excitement:
"I have a surprise for all of you."
Everyone turned toward her with curiosity, and as she walked toward Victor, holding his hand gently, she looked at everyone with teary eyes:
"Victor and I... we're back together."
A silence filled the room for a few seconds, before voices of joy and congratulations erupted.
Lara ran toward her and hugged her, while Jacob stared at them for a moment, then smiled and said:
"To be honest, I kind of felt that."
Everyone laughed, but Mike, as usual, didn't miss the chance to make a witty remark:
"Great! Does that mean I can finally go on my honeymoon without worrying about Victor?"
Everyone burst out laughing, while Lara lightly punched him on the shoulder and said teasingly:
"Idiot."
The room was filled with laughter and warm emotions, on a day full of happy surprises and moments that would be etched in everyone's memory forever.
