Days passed. Work got busier again—for both Sohee and Denial.
But Sohee couldn't stop herself from daydreaming about her handsome boss. Every time she caught a glimpse of him walking past her desk, her heart would skip a beat.
"Denial Sir... uff, what a man," she whispered to herself with a smile.
The female employee sitting beside her noticed Sohee's dreamy expression and chuckled. "You like him too, don't you?"
Sohee blinked. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"I mean Denial Sir, obviously!" the woman giggled. "You're not alone, Sohee. Almost every woman in this office has a crush on him."
Sohee gave a soft, nervous laugh.
"Sir is such a gentleman," the woman continued with a sigh. "Polite, soft-spoken, always calm. He never loses his cool. Honestly, I've heard girls have confessed to him so many times."
Sohee's smile faded slightly. "And what did he say?"
"He turned down every single one of them."
That struck a chord. Sohee suddenly looked a little lost in thought. So... I don't have a chance either, do I? she murmured silently in her heart. Sir probably won't even look at me that way...
Her mood turned a little gloomy as she turned back to her work, the daydreams fading into uncertainty.
Just then, Denial's personal secretary walked over to her desk. "Sohee, Sir has noticed you. Are your files ready?"
Sohee snapped back to reality. "Ah yes! Almost done. I'll bring them to him right away."
She quickly picked up the final project file from her desk, took a deep breath, and walked to Denial's office.
Standing outside the door, her hand trembled slightly as she knocked.
From inside came that calm, steady voice she loved so much:
"Please, come in."
Sohee stepped inside, her heart pounding.
