Looking over at the HUD, Gray frowned.

There is around 30 hours before the next upgrade, the hole is ready, I just have to compress the ground, fuck it, we can't be sitting around all day, after pouring the concrete we have to wait anyway, should give me enough time to get the upgrade and just get all the steel beams we will need.
After going back to the prison to buy two manual compactors without the inmates noticing, he went back out, "Inmates will probably find something weird once I take out all the materials for the wall, but they will find out about it sooner or later, once the wall is ready I will take them to check on their families."
Once back, he handed one compactor to the others, and he started pounding on the dirt with his own. Finally, once that was done, everyone started walking back inside. On the way back, Gray talked to the inmates, "So, listen, I was thinking that once the wall was done, we should go and check out your places, and If we do find your families we can bring them here, or if you decide you wanna stay with them that's good too" Gray said before adding "Also you guys will need training before we leave, I don't wanna be babysitting you guys the whole way, you should be able to protect youselves."
"That's cool and all." Oscar said, looking around."But I don't see any materials to build said wall, we're supposed to cut some trees for it or somethin'."
"Let me worry about the materials; they will be here tomorrow," Gray said, still walking towards his truck to sit down and think about this wall idea. Carol went to fetch him to go eat, but he declined, saying he was good for now.
Late at night, Gray could be seen turning around in his bed over and over again, unable to get some sleep. Finally getting out of bed, he started walking towards the trench with a compactor in hand. It was late, around 11 PM, but the moon was shining brightly.
Once at the trench, he started buying gravel, which came in by the foot, so he got to work pounding away until he noticed he had already finished the whole trench by himself. I guess this is one of the drawbacks to the stamina enhancement. If I'm not tired, I can't sleep. Now that I'm here, I might as well keep going until I get tired enough to go to bed.
Gray kept walking around the gravel until he felt that was enough, finally looking around the shop for some rebar options. He opted for the rebar cage, an already built option for 10 Gold per foot, so no need to waste more time. Going around the trench, he kept dropping the rebar cage all along the pathway.
Looking over at his clock, it read 3:12 AM. Feeling like he could keep going, he decided to start roaming around the forest to clear out any walkers. Finally feeling sluggish, he went to bed and put a note on his door reading 'Don't wake me up, you guys can take the day off' and finally went to sleep.
Waking up at 10 AM, he didn't feel anyone outside with his observation haki. Walking inside the prison.
Gray paused just outside the cell block, arms crossed as he glanced toward the yard.I could keep this to myself a little longer… play it safe. But then his mind went to Oscar hauling water without complaint, Big Tiny doing the heavy lifting for Carol without being asked, and Axel cracking jokes just to make the tension lighter. In the short time they'd been here, they'd done more to help than some people he'd known for years. And with the trench done and rebar in place, every wasted day was another day the prison stayed vulnerable. The walkers won't wait, and neither will the people out there still breathing.Gray exhaled through his nose, decision made. If they're going to be part of this place, they might as well know what I can really do. Better to risk it now than stall for another week. He started looking for Rick. Finding them all cleaning the deeper parts of the prison, he approached him.
"Listen, Rick, I think it's time the inmates know about my gifts. We need to finish that wall as soon as possible." Gray said while looking at the ex-prisoners who were cleaning around, too, "I feel they have proven themselves enough; besides, I don't feel any malice from them."
"Are you certain about this? It's only been a few days since they joined us." Rick said, looking at the ex-prisoners. "They could be just waiting for an opportunity to attack."
"I'll take full responsability if anything were to happen, you guys accepted me into the group, right? I could have been faking all this time, too." Gray said, shrugging, "Besides, this place is huge; we will need all the people we can get."
Finally pulling Oscar, Axel, and Big Tiny to the cell blocks, Gray told them everything, and they stared at him with skepticism, pulling them out to the trench with the rebar just sitting in there, in front of all of them, he pulled out a level and a bull float.
"What the fuck was that!" Oscar yelled, Big Tiny looked like he was about to pass out, and Axel looked in astonishment, "Did you sell your soul to the devil or somethin'?" Axel asked him, Gray, looking shocked, couldn't even say, since he couldn't remember the contract he signed, shaking his head, "Not to my knowledge, just woke up one day knowing I could do all this. Is it going to be a problem? You guys are free to leave if you want."
"Nah, we're cool, this is even better," Oscar said, handing back the level he took Gray's hands to examine, "This means we don't have to work anymore? Axel said excitedly, "And who said that? Those who don't work or do anything for this group get no food or roof provided to them." "Right, right.", Axel joked, "Work's good for the mind and body." Big Tiny added. "So this means we can go check on my moms right now?".
"Not so fast, big fella, you guys need some training before I take you outside these fences. I'm going to ask Rick to come teach you guys to at least handle a weapon. Once we see that you guys can handle a few walkers by yourselves, then we can go." Gray started walking back towards the inside of the prison. "C'mon, let's go get you guys a proper teacher."
