The pack stood before Mr jack, there was complete silence in the well lit room of the council apartment, Mr jack stood with his hands crossed at his back, as his commanding demeanor and authority swayed the pack to order.
"I am very impressed with the progress of you all" he began looking at all of them, so far this pack has grown to become something formidable in the fight of good and evil. But he gazed at them the fight is still a long way off, there is still a strong battle going on, especially as vampires are now coming out in daylight, although they hide in the dark, this is still a troublesome issue for us.
Bella he called looking at her, I believe you are fine now?
Yes sir, Bella replied with a low smile and am glad everyone is okay, she said glancing at the pack, who were all smiling.
Very good then.He continued Max body is still yet to be found....
It still surprises me Tyler thought, max body was still missing but the rest of his pack bodies were found.Did the vampires needed his body for any demon art potion, something to find to break free from the sun, he shuddered at the thought.
Alright then, Mr jack said. You are all dismissed he said with an air of finality, Tyler Bella he called, Mr Benson would love to see you too again he said smiling, I believe you would love to see him again
Bella was grinning, yes sir she said looking at Tyler who was smiling.
The pack left whispering to rack other, Mr Jack smiled this was one special pack, he raised his head upwards looking at the ceiling above him, they reminded him of their days as wolves, but it was Tyler and Bella that seemed to bring the pack together more their presence was a spark in a dark tunnel.
The living room was modest but warm, filled with the soft scent of old books and freshly brewed coffee. Tyler and Bella stood near the door, greeted by Mr. Benson's broad smile and open arms. He pulled them into a heartfelt embrace, his joy unmistakable.
"I'm so pleased to have you back," he said, his voice thick with emotion as he shook hands with the rest of the pack.
The entire pack had insisted on coming.
"I have nothing better to do, so I might as well come with you," Sophia had said.
"Me too," Jasper added with a shrug.
"Can I come with you guys?" James had chimed in. "Don't leave me out," he grinned, resting his hands on Tyler and Bella's shoulders.
"I'm also coming, guys," Henry said with a nod.
Tyler had wanted to protest. But Bella, calm and encouraging, had simply given him a look that silenced him.
"Alright, then," he had sighed. "You can all come."
Now, the pack sat comfortably in Mr. Benson's living room. The old man rushed into the kitchen, announcing, "Let me get coffee!"
Sophia glanced around. "Nice apartment," she said, nodding in approval.
"Yeah, I agree," Henry added, admiring the warm interior.
James leaned in low, whispering with a mischievous smirk, "Does he have a wife?"
Jasper and Henry chuckled.
"Shhh," Bella hushed them. "Here he comes."
Mr. Benson returned carrying a tray with six teacups filled with steaming coffee.
"Here you go," he said, passing them around.
"Thank you," the pack echoed one by one.
He settled on a nearby sofa, eyes twinkling as he looked at Tyler and Bella.
"So, tell me," he asked, "how's the journey been?"
Tyler exchanged a glance with Bella. "It's been a great start... but dangerous."
The pack chuckled softly.
"Protecting humanity seems like the only thing we're meant to do," Bella added. "It's our father's legacy. Our duty now."
Mr. Benson nodded thoughtfully. "I'm glad to see you both settling well. But be careful… Vampires are becoming more rogue. People are going missing even in daylight. The police think it's a serial killer. But we know better, don't we?"
The pack grew quiet.
"Susun will do whatever it takes to conquer the sun," Mr. Benson said darkly.
Sophia sat upright. "You know about Susun?"
"Of course," he replied. "Susun is the vampire every werewolf bloodline has tried to end. He's powerful so much so that he appoints vampire heads to his council based on strength alone, the infused blood he passes down to his head's and they in turn pass it to newborns to grant them powers ."
The room fell silent.
"They say a pack of wolves once came close to ending him. The strongest pack to ever exist six members. Their leader, Constantine, was a black wolf known for unmatched strength and speed. He nearly killed Susun in single combat… but Susun managed to escape."
Henry blinked. "Constantine… I'll remember that name."
Mr. Benson continued, "Sunlight is the only thing that can truly kill him. But Constantine nearly did it without it. Still, Susun's goal remains he wants perfection, his goal has always been to conquer the sun. He believes he has all the time in the world."
Tyler clenched his fist. "I hope we can stop him."
Mr. Benson's face grew solemn. "It is possible, Tyler… but difficult. Susun has killed wolves for over a hundred years some of the fiercest we've known. But the legend of Constantine proves he's not unstoppable."
"The druids' bloodline created a monster," Mr. Benson muttered.
The room went still, the weight of destiny pressing down on every shoulder.
