Chapter 8 - Rising Charm

Sunday Morning.

With the weekend in full swing, Jason was ready to continue with what he jokingly called his "Loyal Dog Compensation Plan." He had his eyes on the five major campus beauties, aiming to gain favorability points—and maybe a little more.

However, one of them—Megan Chase—already had a decent opinion of him. Strangely enough, Jason wasn't interested in pushing things forward with her. There was something off about her vibe. So, for now, he decided to skip her.

As for Brooke Fields, her favorability had clearly improved after yesterday. But Jason had noticed something important: the higher a girl's favorability got, the harder it was to raise it further.

It made sense. When someone barely notices you, even the smallest gesture can move them. But once they already see you favorably, it takes something significant to go higher.

That's why Jason put Brooke's case on hold for now—like skipping a hard exam question and moving on to the easier ones.

After some thought, he decided today's target would be Brielle Quinn, a business major whose parents owned a nearby luxury car dealership.

Jason had been meaning to upgrade his "image packaging," and what better way than arriving at campus behind the wheel of a six-figure machine?

He threw on a sleek Armani outfit, slung a Gucci backpack over his shoulder, and hopped onto his custom-built trick bicycle—ironic, sure, but for now, it did the job—and made his way toward Quinn Motors, a premium Mercedes-Benz dealership in the suburbs of San Diego.

Inside the Quinn Motors Mercedes-Benz showroom, Brielle Quinn was reviewing some errors with the sales team. Her skin was porcelain-smooth, her gaze clear but soft—somehow blending the grace of a Southern belle with the confidence of a modern woman.

Beside her, a fashionably dressed roommate, Courtney Simmons, tugged at her arm. "Come on, Bree, let's go get brunch! It's Sunday and there's barely anyone here."

Brielle sighed, a gentle smile tugging at her lips. "The place just opened last month. Of course, there aren't many customers yet. Let me finish up here and we'll go, promise."

Just then, an excited squeal came from the front of the showroom. Several young saleswomen rushed to the entrance with unusually enthusiastic voices.

"Welcome to Quinn Motors!"

Brielle and Courtney blinked. Sure, the staff were trained to greet customers warmly—but this level of energy was way above protocol.

Curious, they approached the entrance—and stopped.

There stood a tall, handsome young man—clean cut, tanned skin, stylish in Armani with a Gucci backpack, and a Rolex glinting under the California sun. Even his hair was sharp—an American fade with a spiked front.

Outside, his bicycle leaned against the front display glass—a Trick brand model worth over $10,000.

Courtney narrowed her eyes. "Wait… is that…? No way."

"You know him?" Brielle asked, puzzled.

"I've never seen him in person, but I've seen the drama," Courtney whispered. "That's Jason Carter. He used to chase after Emma from the InfoTech department. The whole campus thought he was a clingy simp. He got roasted on Reddit and the college forums so many times, you'd think he'd go into hiding."

Brielle raised a brow. "That guy? No offense, but he doesn't look like the guy in those posts."

"Exactly! In those pics he looked nerdy, had zero confidence. But this guy… This guy's a damn runway model. No way that's the same Jason. Right?"

Brielle looked back at Jason—clean, confident, calm—and smiled slightly. Definitely not the "simp" the internet claimed.

System Prompt: Brielle Quinn's Favorability +5

Name: Brielle QuinnAge: 21Looks: 8.5/10Height: 5'7"Weight: 123 lbsFavorability: 0 → 5

Jason caught the system prompt in his mind and grinned inwardly. "Money well spent," he thought. "Dressing up and showing up is half the game."

Brielle walked over with a graceful, easy smile. "Jason, hey. What brings you to Quinn Motors?"

Seeing the boss's daughter approach and address him personally, the other clerks wisely stepped aside. But they couldn't resist throwing curious glances his way.

Jason scanned the showroom and replied, "I'm looking for something that has presence—preferably something off-road capable. Something with bite."

Brielle tilted her head, intrigued. "Alright… what kind of budget are we talking about?"

Jason shrugged. "No fixed number. If it performs well and feels right, that's enough for me."

Her eyes lit up. "Then I have just the thing. Come check out the new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. Powerful, luxurious, and full-on beast mode. Top-of-the-line off-road and city presence. Seats are redesigned too—used to cause back pain, but not anymore."

She led him to the matte-black G-Wagon, the showroom's centerpiece. She hesitated slightly before opening the door—after all, not everyone could afford this monster.

But Jason stepped forward, eyes gleaming. "Let's test it."

He got in, adjusted the seat, started the engine—and felt the rumble shake his chest.

By the end of the test drive, he was hooked.

"I'll take it."

Brielle blinked. "Wait, seriously?"

"This one," he said again, casually. "Let's do the paperwork."

"You, are you paying up front or… financing?"

Quinn Motors actually preferred financed purchases—they earned more through the banks. But most cash-rich customers opted to pay outright.

Jason didn't even pause. "Full amount. No loans."

After some light negotiation, they settled on the drive-out price: $375,000.

Jason wired the full amount from his phone in less than ten seconds.

Brielle stood frozen until the dealership account confirmed the funds. Only then did it really sink in.

This guy wasn't playing around.

She couldn't help but think: If he's "poor," then half the students on campus are homeless.

Most people with that kind of money would stall or nitpick, trying to lower the price. Jason didn't flinch once. Calm, clean, composed.

Now that was the real definition of a king.

System Prompt: Brielle Quinn's Favorability +5 → 10
