"You're back?"
Kaelren smiled slightly at the male in front of him.
"Honestly I don't know how I keep getting here either."
Kaelren was back with Loiren— he didn't get how, and or why, but he certainly wouldn't complain. It was a way that Kaelren thought he could put to use, before it came to a stop.
"What a mystery you are, Kaelren. But honestly, you're a good man. I wouldn't mind having you around more often!" Loiren smiled, patting Kaelren's back.
Kaelren smiled sheepishly, averting his gaze. He wasn't used to compliments, especially not about his character.
This made Kaelren miss Nex. He had completely ghosted him without a second thought— but he didn't even have time to give himself a first thought.
"Thanks. Though, I have some questions.. Do you think you could answer them?" Kaelren asked curiously, as Loiren guided him to Loiren's tiny hut.
As they arrived, Loiren gestured for Kaerlen to sit down on a wooden stool.
"Yes.. depends. I cannot over-share any information. No matter the person." Loiren explained, leaning back against the wall of the hut.
"Well.. firstly, what… power do you have? I'm sure you have one. According to my childhood memories, the Ervyll's that inherit powers usually have higher and lower chances according to the rarity of the power, right? If I remember correctly, there are five."
"...Yes." Loiren listened to Kaelren before speaking up, his soft expression a little more serious now.
"There are five. And yes, chances and percentages are real. There's Pink fire, Soundwaves, shadows, gravity and Illusions. I just listed them according to the most common power to the rarest. I have illusions." Loiren explained.
Kaelren listened expectantly, nodding his head ever so often.
"What do they do? I don't remember anything Pink fire, Soundwaves or Shadows can do.. but I'm pretty sure the rest are as it sounds." Kaelren asked intrigued, his gaze meeting the other male's red ones.
"Pink fire.. the ability to freeze whatever it touches. The most common power, one of the elementals. Chances are around 68%." Loiren crossed his arms.
"Ah…" Kaelren was listening attentively, waiting for Loiren to keep going.
"Soundwaves… Since Ervyll's are an Elf species, we are approximately 5-10 times more sensitive to sounds. Soundwaves lets you control sounds, and or amplify them around your opponent."
"I see… Is it.. sounds that are already around you? Or can you.. just make sounds?" Kaelren asked, tilting his head a bit.
"No, you can only control and amplify the sounds that surround you."
"As for Shadows.. It's more complicated. If you get the Shadows power, You can jump from one shadow to another. But you can only stay in one place for 20 seconds at most." Loiren exhaled softly, continuing, "And, depends on the person, they can only jump to shadows their size or bigger. Depends on their control over the power, but if they have great control, they can make tiny shadows to their use."
Loiren explained. Kaelren listened.
"I see.. the Ervyll's with powers are really strong, huh? No wonder you're king,"
Loiren smiled, chuckling softly.
"Thanks Kael."
"Well, then there's gravity. It's.. Just as it sounds. Gravity manipulation in other words. Though, there's one great advantage that the most recent Gravity wielder found out. Control the power enough, and it's possible to disrupt blood flow."
"Blood flow? Just like that?" Kaelren asked, now even now surprised.
"..Yes. It is difficult, but it's possible."
"Usually, an Ervyll who inherits powers, the signs start showing around early teenage years. 13-15 years or so." Loiren added, walking over to the wooden stool next to Kaelren.
"I see. When did you get yours?"
"...28." Loiren replied hesitantly.
Kaelren stayed silent, stunned.
"That's twice as late!"
"Yes, I'm aware." Loiren sighed.
"They just developed late. But… They developed stronger and better. So, I feel like it's a win-win situation."
"What? They're.. better? How?" Kaelren asked, now insanely curious. Better… huh?
"They.. work better against opponents. Or so, more effective. Having said so, I didn't mind getting it twice as late as I should've."
Kaelren stayed quiet, processing this information. Myths were nothing compared to this. He didn't believe the Ervyll's were.. evil. Or so, the villains.
"Then.. Why did you attack the drakophoros first? Did you have a reason?"
Loiren opened his mouth to answer, he spoke, but Kaelren's vision went black. His ears didn't catch Loiren words, instead, he froze up, everything going black.

"Mr. Xavier, He has gained consciousness." One of the men spoke to Ethan, who entered the room.
Kaelren struggled, letting out muffled, angry complaints. He was tied up on a chair, mouth taped shut.
"Oh, poor thing.." Ethan sneered sarcastically.
"It's about time you learned a lesson. It's clear you don't know who's in charge here," Ethan had a twisted smirk on his face, looking down at Kaelren.
"You do know right? You're just stubborn, isnt it?~" His eyes narrowed as much as he smile, a dark, twisted smile.
Kaelren felt a lump in his throat, unable to let out any more muffled complaints.
"HAHAHA!!!" Ethan burst out laughing, now confusing the Blue haired male.
"Did you see his face, Keith? He was scared for his life!" Ethan spoke to one of his men beside him, watching. He smiled a little, clearly a forced one, but let out an awkward chuckle.
"Yes.. I saw Mr. Xavier." Ethan rolled his eyes.
"You can drop the formals. It's about time he knew my real name now." Ethan's mocking playfulness shattered a bit, becoming a little more serious.
'He's goddamn unhinged…' Kaelren thought, and correctly at that.
"Yes, Ezekiel." Spoke to Keith.
Keith turned around, turning to Ethans— no, Ezekiel's desk, sitting down.
"What was the information you wanted, Ez?" Keith spoke, now way less informal, it took Kaelren a moment to process what the hell just happened.
"Oh that? No need for that. I've got everything I wanted from that blondie." Ezekiel replied, waving his hand over his shoulder in dismissal.
Keith took out a pack of cigarettes, taking one out and lighting it.
Kaelren didn't know how to feel— it felt like he was being held hostage.. Which, he felt, would be the right term. Though, to him he wasn't sure if this was how it should be going.
Kaelren had thought Ezekiel would do something.. worse to him, considering his earlier words. He had switched up real quick. Two faced? No, this guy seemed as if he had more than just two.
Keith took drags out of his cigarette, casually filling the air with smoke. Ezekiel sighed, turning around to Keith.
"Take care of him, yeah, K?" Ezekiel said, patting Keith's shoulder, and then leaving the room.
Keith just let out a soft hum, continuing to smoke and browse through Ezekiel's computer.
With a long sigh, Keith stood up. He took the cigarette in between his index and middle finger, exhaling smoke as he walked up to Kaelren.
He leaned over, his ice blue eyes meeting Kaelrens different coloured irises. He took a good look before slowly bringing his hamd up to Kaelren's face, ripping the tape off his mouth.
Kaelren's face scrunched up in pain, looking at Keith with a cold and harsh gaze.
"Can you talk?" He asked mockingly.
"If I can't?" Kaelren replied quietly, rubbing his lips.
"Seems you can."
"I meant willingly." Keith laughed at Kaelren's remark.
"If you stayed silent willingly, huh? After that? I doubt it, pretty boy."
Kaelren narrowed his eyes at Keith. "What do you want?" He asked, his voice holding hostility. Kaelren leaned back a bit in his chair, still restricted from moving freely.
"It's not me who wants something," Keith replied. "It's Ezekiel who wants something."
"Then, what does he want?" Kaelren asked, still not letting his guard down.
"Oh that? I'm afraid I can't tell you such information." Keith replied, now turning away and leaning against a wall. He took a drag out of his cigarette, exhaling smoke once again.
"Tch." Kaelren scowled, looking away. He stayed silent, and so did Keith.
"Are you that new kid with blondie?" Keith asked casually.
"What does it matter to you?" Kaelren replied hostilely.
"It indeed does matter to me. C'mon, blondie is like my best friend. I deserve to know." Keith exhaled smoke, his tone less mocking, in fact now holding more curiosity.
'This guy pisses me off. Definitely more than he should.' Kaelren sighed.
"Yes, I'm with your 'Blondie'." Kaelren replied, not meeting Keith's gaze.
Keith walked over to Ezekiel's desk, burning out the cigarette on the ashtray nearby. He sighed. He walked up to Kaelren, and walked behind. He.. untied Kaelren? The ropes fell loose on Kaelren's lap.
Kaelren just stared at the untied ropes, then glanced up at Keith, not uttering one word.
"You're.. letting me go?" Kaelren asked, baffled.
Keith scoffed, but a smile played on his lips. "Go. Lucan is waiting." He replied, standing behind the chair. Jaelren slowly stood up, trying to figure out if this was a trap or not— but Keith sounded genuine. Not as if he was deceiving Kaelren.
"So.. I can just walk out the door and no one will jump me?" Kaelren asked, slowly backing up towards the door, though still keeping his eyes on Keith.
"Go on, come on, now."
Kaelren turned his back, slowly walking to the door. He opened the door, walking out. Lucan was waiting.
"...You're awake." Lucan stated bluntly.
"...I am." Kaelren replied coldly. He still didn't fully trust Lucan. Kaelren couldn't bring himself to trust Lucan again. At least not yet.
