At midnight, in the Land of Hot Springs, a dozen kilometers outside the hot spring district—
Outside a cave, nestled among lush green trees—
A dozen shinobi from Kumogakure who had gone hunting returned with their prey, approaching the cave's entrance.
As they got closer, the rich scent of alcohol in the air hit them, and several of them swallowed unconsciously.
What they saw next stunned them even more: their Raikage, a large dark-brown sake jar tucked under his left arm, was in high spirits, laughing boisterously with his right arm draped around Uchiha Hikaru's shoulders like a close friend.
Even more absurd was Killer Bee, his head literally buried inside the sake jar, making a rhythmic "dun-dun-dun" sloshing sound as he drank.
A, the Raikage, shoved Killer Bee's shoulder with his left hand, and the latter flopped down beside the fire. In the flickering firelight, both of their faces had flushed red, the color overwhelming even their dark skin.
Killer Bee started swaying, clearly tipsy, raising his arms and rapping angrily at A:
"Yo! You selfish thug, drinkin' all the good stuff—what the hell, bro? You're the big bro, can't even spare a sip? That's cold, yo!"
A snatched the sake jar and downed a few gulps with ease.
"Idiot! I'm your older brother! Since when does the younger one snatch from the elder?!"
Killer Bee jumped to his feet and flipped both middle fingers with an exaggerated scowl, acting like a rebellious teenager.
"Screw you! Been calling you 'bro' for years and you can't even give me a drink? You're tight, man—tight as hell! One day, you'll call me brother, yeah!"
The Raikage stood suddenly, swung his left fist, and cracked Killer Bee on the forehead.
The force dropped Bee to the ground. He clutched his head, howling in pain.
Inside the cave, Tsunade had been drinking alone. The commotion outside interrupted her peaceful buzz. With an irritated huff, she stormed to the entrance and shouted:
"You damn Kumogakure idiots! Keep it down!"
"If this mission goes sideways, I'm not taking the blame!"
She marched angrily to the campfire, snatched Hikaru's bowl and chopsticks, and with one quick swipe gathered all the barbecued meat into it.
Then she turned and, without warning, grabbed both of Hikaru's shoulders.
The full moon hung high, bright and clear. The sky was cloudless, sprinkled with stars. Moonlight spilled through the canopy, illuminating the scene between Hikaru and Tsunade.
A and Killer Bee fell silent under her intimidating presence, visibly stunned. The legendary Sannin's aura was terrifying enough to paralyze even the Raikage. Even Uchiha Hikaru froze, wide-eyed and unsure how to react.
Just moments ago, Hikaru had been focused on his plan to manipulate the Raikage. But Tsunade's sudden approach and the haze of sake knocked his mind completely blank.
Under the firelight, Tsunade's face flushed deeply. Her amber eyes shimmered with warmth and intoxication, her charm magnified by the alcohol. A subtle affection lingered in her gaze, making Hikaru dazed.
The soft spring breeze brushed against them, carrying the faint scent of flowers. Tsunade's long golden hair and Hikaru's dark strands swayed together, mingling like an unspoken intimacy.
Their eyes met—close, only inches apart.
Tsunade's smooth, pale neck and the green Hashirama pendant resting on her chest trembled slightly with her breathing. Her crimson lips, stained with wine, looked irresistibly soft.
Hikaru's mind screamed warning signs—but his body froze.
Suddenly, warmth touched his lips.
Tsunade had closed her eyes and leaned in, planting a deep, firm kiss.
Hikaru's eyes widened.
He'd been intimate with both Anko and Kurenai before, but this was different. He hadn't seen it coming at all.
It felt like being ambushed by a seductive older woman while studying for a final exam.
The kiss didn't last long. Tsunade pulled away just as abruptly as she had acted, and with both hands shoved Hikaru back.
Her blonde hair fluttered wildly, a few strands sticking to her flushed cheeks. Her eyes flickered with sudden awareness and panic.
Then, without another word, she turned and fled back toward the cave, tossing a single line over her shoulder:
"I'm a woman of my word. I lost the bet—I'll own it!"
The Raikage and Killer Bee were completely dumbfounded, their expressions mirror images of shock.
Eyes wide. Pupils white. Jaws unhinged.
Then, like synchronized puppets, they raised their right hands—thumbs up—and pointed at Hikaru with an admiring nod.
Hikaru stared after Tsunade, feeling the lingering warmth on his lips. He didn't know if what shimmered at the corner of his mouth was sake... or something else.
Instinctively, he licked it.
His first thought?
It tasted sweet.
Back in the cave, Tsunade clutched her flushed face with both hands, stunned by her own actions. She dropped in front of the sake jar, took several long gulps, and muttered to herself.
"Did I really... just kiss him like that?"
She reached for the barbecue, only to realize—
She forgot to bring it.
Face turning redder, she sprang to her feet and marched straight out of the cave.
The Raikage and Killer Bee were about to tease Hikaru, but they immediately silenced themselves when they spotted Tsunade returning.
Both men placed their hands behind their backs and stared straight ahead like obedient soldiers.
Hikaru, meanwhile, was still reeling from the kiss. The plan to deceive the Raikage had evaporated from his mind. One thought remained:
Was she coming back to kiss me again?
Tsunade strode up, crouched down, scooped up the bowl of barbecued meat and chopsticks—then spun around and marched right back into the cave.
Hikaru stood frozen.
His expectations, high just seconds ago, were crushed.
The Raikage and Killer Bee waited until Tsunade was fully out of sight before breathing a synchronized sigh of relief.
Then, with teasing smiles, they both raised their pinkies toward Hikaru, a silent, universally understood gesture of admiration.
"Damn, Hikaru," A muttered, slapping a massive hand on his shoulder, "You're not just strong in battle—seems you've got hidden talents too!"
Killer Bee leaned close, grinning from ear to ear, his pinky still wagging.
"Hikaru, my man… this is it, yeah!"
