Chapter 75 – Author's Notes
1. On Character Personalities
My approach to this fanfiction leans heavily on specialization. I'm writing with the assumption that those of you who've made it this far are true Naruto fans—people who have watched the anime in its entirety, without skipping flashbacks, filler, or emotional arcs.
Because of that, I haven't spent too much time reintroducing characters or over-explaining their personalities. My intent is to respect your familiarity and not slow down the pace by repeating what you already know. That said, if you ever feel the portrayal of a character—especially the original characters—needs more depth or clarity, feel free to let me know. I'm always open to improving.
As for the protagonist… his personality is an exaggerated version of my own. I might have taken some traits for granted, so if at any point he feels unclear or underdeveloped, please don't hesitate to drop a comment. I'll make sure to focus on strengthening his character arc in upcoming chapters.
2. The Challenges of Writing Naruto Fanfiction – and Where This Story Is Headed
Writing fanfiction can be deceptively simple, yet incredibly difficult—especially for a series as rich and layered as Naruto. I've made it a point to avoid copying the original plot outright. While some arcs follow canon events, the majority of the story is original, especially when it comes to how the characters react to the presence of the protagonist and how their choices evolve over time.
To keep things grounded in the Naruto universe, I spend a lot of time analyzing each canon character—their personalities, motivations, and mental states at different points in the timeline—so their decisions and actions remain true to character. This is especially critical when it comes to major events, like the Uchiha integration or clan politics. Whether it's using Mangekyō Sharingan as deterrence, or aligning with other clans through political and economic means, I try to ensure every move feels earned, not forced.
It's exhausting work, but I believe it's worth it.
The story has become quite polarizing as a result. Some readers—those deeply familiar with Naruto—have praised it and rated it highly. But others, especially casual viewers who skipped arcs or only watched highlights, often find certain things "unreasonable." For example, the scene involving civilians singing during the Uchiha parade was criticized by some, but in context, it's part of a larger strategy to reshape the clan's public image within Konoha.
That kind of narrative choice might not resonate with everyone, but I'm staying true to my vision.
Looking ahead, future chapters will continue to feature a mix of original and canon-rooted plotlines. While I won't spoil specifics, I do rewrite and refine the story outline every 100,000 words, so there's room for surprises and evolution. Consider it my way of keeping the story fresh and leaving space for reader expectations and twists.
And yes—regarding the main heroine—she's been my dream character since childhood. She was my goddess then, and she still is now. So unless something drastic changes, I don't plan on leaving her out of anything. (Hehe~)
Final Thoughts from the Author
Honestly, I'm still learning how to write.
Someone once mocked my username and said my book was as bad as my pen name—and told me to quit writing. But I chose this name to remind myself to keep working hard and improving.
Funny thing is, I later realized the site doesn't even let authors change their pen names. So here we are.
I've only been seriously writing for about two and a half months. In the first month and a half, I tried drafting two other books, but neither worked out.
These days, I spend my mornings learning from a more experienced writer—about three to four hours daily. I nap in the afternoons, write at night, and then stay up reading other fanfics and original works to learn and improve.
Right now, I'm focusing on improving action scenes, because I want the fight sequences in this story to feel sharp, dynamic, and emotionally engaging.
I'm only 24 years old, but I've been reading online fiction for over a decade. So while my writing is still developing, I like to think my thinking and story construction is a little more seasoned.
Lastly—thank you for reading this story. If you're enjoying it, follow, leave a review, and help spread the word!
Also… don't forget to watch the free ad after the chapter. You can exit after 15 seconds. (Wink~)
