ANBU from Root and Uchiha clan shinobi clashed violently within the Uchiha compound.

Fortunately, Uchiha Hikaru had already anticipated that Root would launch a final counterattack in the coming days. The civilians in the Uchiha district had already taken shelter in underground bunkers.

The "civilians" seen walking around the compound these past two days were actually shadow clones—Uchiha shinobi in disguise.

Hikaru, Fugaku, and Itachi stood atop a roof, swiftly engaging Root operatives, taking them down as efficiently as possible.

Suddenly, the three of them turned to face the southeast.

A massive wave of chakra surged toward them, chilling and violent.

A blood-red figure attacked from the direction of the energy.

The three instantly retreated to create distance and dodge the incoming strike.

A house was demolished in a heartbeat, crumbling to rubble and raising thick clouds of dust.

The sinister pressure radiating from the transformed demon fox distorted the very air, sending birds fleeing in a panic. Even nearby Root and Uchiha shinobi found their movements sluggish under the oppressive force.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Sphere!"

A several-meter-wide vacuum blast laced with cutting wind chakra sliced through the air, producing a sharp screech as it hurled toward Hikaru.

"Hikaru, watch out!"

"Deputy Clan Head, get back!"

Fugaku and Itachi shouted warnings in unison.

There was no time for hand seals. In Hikaru's eyes, his three-tomoe Sharingan spun rapidly—then shifted into the Mangekyō pattern.

His Mangekyō Sharingan technique activated instantly. A solid earthen wall burst from the ground before him, intercepting the Wind Style attack.

A grating voice emerged from the ruined building just ahead.

The vacuum sphere had cleared the dust, revealing Danzo's figure before Hikaru.

Danzo tore away the bandages over his right arm and face, revealing his grotesque, pale arm and the Mangekyō Sharingan embedded in his right eye.

He formed a one-handed seal and thrust his right arm forward.

"Wood Style: Violent Bramble Spear!"

His right arm rapidly transformed, turning into a thick, dark green trunk that shot toward Hikaru like a harpoon.

Hikaru gripped Weapon tightly.

His Mangekyō activated—this time, merging Word Spirit and Sword Form in a single breath.

"Burn it all—Weapon: Blade of Fire!"

Ordinary Fire Style techniques were no match for Wood Style—normally, their chakra would be absorbed. But the Mangekyō flame didn't abide by those rules.

Weapon ignited in azure flame mixed with white light, searing through the wooden spear with furious intensity.

The fire rushed up the length of the trunk and scorched Danzo's arm.

Danzo yanked back his right hand and retreated to the side of the Jinchūriki.

By now, the Tailed Beast Bomb had condensed into a fist-sized orb—trembling with volatile power—before Naruto swallowed it whole.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two massive rumbles echoed from within the Seven-Tailed Naruto.

His entire body bloated like a balloon, inflated by the internal detonation.

His jaws clamped shut tight—the image disturbingly comical.

But Hikaru wasn't laughing.

In the original timeline, Naruto's Four-Tails form had created a Tailed Beast Ball powerful enough to severely wound even someone like Orochimaru, with his godlike survivability.

This Naruto had seven tails—and now, even skeletal armor forming on his body.

Hikaru had assumed six tails was the limit—within his control. But Danzo had clearly used some twisted secret technique to force a seventh-tail transformation.

If Orochimaru were here, he might've explained it in one word: TECHNOLOGIA.

If that blast hit, the underground shelters could collapse. He had to stop it.

The Tailed Beast Ball slammed into the shield. Hikaru staggered backward under the force.

Danzo, seeing his opportunity, began weaving signs for a sneak attack.

"Hmph. What a pathetic excuse for a Mangekyō Sharingan. What a waste of power."

He instantly appeared beside Hikaru, hand reaching out to gouge out his eyes.

A smirk curled at Hikaru's lips.

"Flash Step."

He vanished.

Danzo's fingers grasped empty air.

"ROAR!!"

The screech of the demon fox snapped Danzo back to reality.

It was a trap.

Hikaru's real target—was the Jinchūriki.

In the blink of an eye, Hikaru appeared beside Naruto.

"SUSANOO!"

His chakra exploded, cloaking him in a black half-giant made of intertwining shadows and flame.

The Susanoo slammed the fox to the ground with both arms—one pressing down on its torso, the other clutching its throat.

The Tailed Beast Bomb, still charging, was halted mid-formation.

But the chakra buildup didn't disappear—it continued to expand.

BOOM!

An enormous explosion erupted inside the beast.

The demon fox flopped to the ground—smoke pouring from both its mouth and rear.

For a moment, Hikaru and Danzo stared in stunned silence.

Weapon morphed into golden sealing chains, wrapping around the Seven-Tails in a perfect tortoise-shell formation.

The tailed beast's chakra began to dissipate.
