Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 — Thronebreaker

Chapter 26 — Thronebreaker Jujutsu Kaisen: Moon of the Fallen King

The battlefield lay in ruins, a cursed kingdom ripped apart by the clash of two ancient titans. Half the sky burned like a funeral pyre, while the other half roiled with black cursed clouds. In the center of the chaos stood Sukuna, arms crossed, his devilish smirk unfazed by the destruction.

> "When curses clash... the world holds its breath."

Across from him, the Demon King approached with slow, deliberate steps. His cracked crown glinted under cursed lightning. His aura was heavy, ancient, and colder than death itself.

"You dare sit where gods once bled?" the Demon King growled.

Sukuna's smile widened. "I don't sit," he said. "I take thrones and burn them."

In a blink, the Demon King vanished. A colossal cursed fist materialized behind Sukuna, slamming him into the mountainside. Rocks split. Smoke and dust surged.

> "A King tests by fire."

From the crater, Sukuna walked out, laughing, blood trickling from his mouth. "Oh? You punch like my first wife," he taunted.

He clenched his hand. The air shifted. Cursed energy swirled violently around him.

"Domain Expansion..."

The Malevolent Shrine exploded into existence, evolved and grotesque. The ground below became cursed flesh. Floating blades shimmered and twisted mid-air.

> "...Imperial Devastation."

Thousands of slashing attacks erupted, crashing into the Demon King. His cloak tore, revealing molten cursed armor beneath. For the first time, the Demon King grinned.

"Good," he said. "I hate easy prey."

Raising a cursed spear glowing with devouring energy, he called upon a massive cursed seal in the sky. It opened like a wound, leaking black fire.

> "A King's blessing is destruction."

Far away, inside Jujutsu HQ, alarms screamed. Monitors blinked red. Sorcerers stared in shock.

"This is beyond Special Grade..." one muttered.

"Is that... Sukuna... fighting a god?" another whispered.

An old sorcerer, once a friend of Lucius's Master, stepped into the room. "Prepare emergency seal backups," he said gravely. "If this goes wrong... the continent falls."

Back at the battlefield, Sukuna teleported high above the Demon King.

"You forgot one thing," he whispered.

He slammed his palm on the Demon King's head. A cursed shockwave burst outward.

"I'm not your equal," Sukuna said. "I'm your replacement."

But the Demon King vanished into cursed mist, only to reappear behind Sukuna with black wings spread wide. Chanting in an ancient tongue, he transformed the earth into a cursed swamp. Dozens of ghostly hands reached up, gripping Sukuna's legs.

"Nice trick," Sukuna smirked.

With a single spin, he cleaved every hand into cursed dust.

High above, hidden in shadows, Kenjaku watched from a cursed orb.

"Perfect," he murmured. "Let them tear each other apart. And when the Devil King awakens... I'll guide his throne."

He placed a final Sukuna finger into a black box. The seal pulsed.

Suddenly, Sukuna turned toward Kenjaku—despite the distance.

"Stay in your lane, parasite," Sukuna growled.

Kenjaku's smile faltered. "He saw me...? Even now... he's terrifying."

The Demon King returned, launching a cursed spear at Sukuna. Sukuna caught it midair, twisted it, and shattered it in his grip.

Once more, the two kings clashed. Light exploded. Mountains cracked. The sky split like broken glass.

> "And so the throne shook... not for who sat upon it, but for who came to shatter it."
