Chapter 6 - First day of working in new world

I'm ken, and recently, I got transfer into new world. In my past life, I was the prince of a kingdom. But now, I'm living with an ordinary family and working at a café they own. They even gave me a place to stay. Honestly, they're far too kind to someone like me, someone who feels completely useless.

The long-awaited morning has finally arrived. Today marks Ken's very first day working as a waiter. An entirely new experience for someone who hadn't even lifted a cup in his past life. It's undoubtedly going to be a challenging task for him.

"Today is the first day of my job, and I'm going to prove that I'm not useless anymore. I'm going to become the most valuable person in this entire world."

Then Mei knocked on the door and stepped into the room, saying,"Big brother, are you ready?"

"Yes, Mei. I'm completely ready to go."

"Let's go then. Dad is waiting for you downstairs in the living room."

Then both of them went down to the living room, and within a few minutes, Mr. Shiroum arrived as well.

"Let's go, Ken. It's your first day, so you'll be coming with me today."

Later, the two of them left for work. [after arriving], Mr. Shirou explained to Ken the duties he would have to perform as a waiter. He told him that first, he had to change into the waiter's uniform. Then, he had to greet every customer who entered the shop, offer them a glass of water, take their order, and finally, serve their requested food or drinks. Following all the instructions, Ken went to the changing room to put on his uniform. When he returned to the main area, he met the other waiters working at the café. As he was mentally reviewing the instructions again, someone approached him.

"Are you Ken?"

"Yeah, I am. Today is my first day here. Did I do something wrong?"

"Haha, no, you didn't do anything wrong. I work here too. Yesterday, the boss told me that a new guy would be joining from today, and I'm supposed to look after you."

"So, I'm the one who's going to tell you what to do, okay?"

"Yes, it's my first time working, so please look after me, Mr…?"

"You can call me Saito. And if you need help with anything, just come to me."

"Thank you, Sir Saito."

"Alright then. Looks like your first customer is here,go welcome him."

Then Ken approached the customer and greeted him with a polite "Welcome." Though his voice lacked confidence, and the words didn't come out as smoothly as he'd hoped, he still managed to say them. However, what truly worried him was the next task,Which is, taking the customer's order. For Ken, this was the most challenging part. After all, he wasn't from this world and had no knowledge of how to write in the language commonly used here.

The moment arrived, the customer began placing his order. Ken was under immense pressure, his mind racing with anxiety. But then, something unexpected happened. As the customer spoke, Ken realized he could somehow write down every single word perfectly, as if he had known the language all along. It was as if some invisible force was guiding his hand.

Then he took the order and walked over to the counter to inform the staff about it.

Then something happened. Something that occurs in many people's lives: just when everything seems to be going perfectly, something goes terribly wrong. And that's exactly what happened with Ken. After taking the order, it was time to serve the customer. Ken picked up the dish that had been prepared, but as he was carrying it to the table, he lost his balance, dropped the plate, and ruined the food.

"Ken, what are you doing?! Sorry, sir—it's his first day on the job," Saito said quickly, apologizing to the customer on Ken's behalf and doing his best to smooth over the situation.

Meanwhile, Ken stood frozen, filled with fear, wondering what was going to happen to him now.

Saito then came over to him and said reassuringly, "Don't worry about it. Mistakes happen. Just focus on the other tasks for now."

[In the evening]

Mr.Shiroum told Ken to head home and get some rest—it was his first day, so he was allowed to leave early.

Without arguing, Ken simply replied with, "Okay," and left for home. As he walked, his thoughts weighed heavily on him. "I'm so useless..." he muttered under his breath.

But then, he shook his head and tried to push the negativity away. He decided not to dwell on it too much. "I'll just do better tomorrow," he told himself with quiet determination.

After reaching home, he thought of taking a bath to relax. He entered the bathroom, turned on the shower, and let the warm water wash over him. Just as he began to feel a little more at ease, he suddenly heard footsteps approaching the bathroom. Before he could react or even gather his thoughts, the door swung open.

Standing right in front of him was a girl—completely naked.

And he was in the exact same state.

"H-HAAA!?!"
