~Lucas POV~
The clearing was a mess of flickering candles and fog as the blood-red eclipse loomed overhead, making Annalyn's heat spike like a damn beacon. Her scent was everywhere, pulling at my wolf, and I stayed glued to her side, my hand on her arm to keep her steady. The Moon Alpha's voice was screaming in her head, I could see it in her wild eyes and the Visayas were closing in, drawn by her scent. Calix, Matteo, and Ezra were spread out, ready for a fight, their wolves itching to rip something apart.
"Stay with me," I said, my voice low as I pulled Annalyn closer. "We'll get through this."
She gripped the focus stone, her voice shaky. "It's too much, Lucas. My heat, it's pulling them."
I growled, my wolf on edge. "Let 'em come. They're not touching you."
Her eyes softened, but she swayed, heat flaring. "You're sweet when you're all protective."
