Chapter 15
Aurora quickly placed the hand holding the card to her back. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I can't come in here anymore? Have you forgotten that this is building is mine?" Aurora shook her head. From the glass she could see people peeping in.
"What do you want from me Liam?" She has no time to chitchat with him. Aurora took her seat and placed the note on her lap.
"An apology. If you apologize to me about what happened yesterday, I'll let this go, but if you don't, I may begin to question our compatibility." Liam said. He was still angry over how he was treated last night at stainless Restaurant.
He blamed it on Aurora. If Aurora has sat when he asked politely, then it would never have resulted to him being thrown out. "I was embarrassed because of you, again."
"Why should I apologise, I didn't throw you out." It would hurt her to have him end their relationship, but she wasn't going to him any satisfaction by begging him.
"So, you don't mind if I end this? You'd rather lose your three years relationship because of your pride?"
"If that's all you want to know, then you can use the door Mr. Adams." She pointed to the door.
Liam fist his palm, not wanting to accept this but he knew he had to stay calm, for Jenny's sake. They still needed her to complete her series.
"I'll let this go, simply because I love you." He spoke through gritted teeth. He moved forward, pulled out a chair and sat on it, "how's Jenny's book coming along?" He asked. He threw his head to the window and Aurora used that moment to quickly moved the bouquet from her table, grateful he hasn't taken notice of it yet.
"Fine, but it's a bit slow since she hasn't continued from the last place she stopped.
"You should help her, the prelaunch date is two weeks ago and she is still in the hospital, we don't know how long she'd stay there."
"I have other books to work on, and as the CEO, shouldn't you be more concerned about ensuring your writers complete their book themselves to stop any future rumors?" Aurora asked genuinely concerned.
Liam shrugged his shoulders, "why should I be? At all, it's you, you wont do such to her." he stood up, pushing his chair backwards.
"You should go see her in the hospital." He said before he left.
Aurora disposed of the bouquet after Liam left.
She decided it would be right to go see Jenny in the hospital so as to avoid suspicion. After she was one for the day, Aurora packed her things and left.
She drove to the hospital. It wasn't hard having to locate Jenny's room. Standing in front of the door, she drew in a breath before she knocked and stepped in.
Jenny was seating on the bed, eyes glued to her phone as her hands danced on the keypad. Aurora closed the door quietly and stepped forward, still unnoticed by Jenny.
"Jenny?" She finally called. Jenny flicked before raising her head. She froze when she saw Aurora standing in front of her.
"I thought you couldn't use your phone?"
