Anvil read the notification and smiled in delight. Then he searched for the statue. However, he didn't find a single object in the room other than the chest.

Anvil had limited manpower, but still, he ordered the two giant undead to search for any mechanism.

But even after ten minutes of extensive searching, they didn't find anything at all.

"What the hell… Where the heck is that statue?!" His eyes turned to the chest.

"If not in the walls, then in the chest," he thought and opened it.

It was pitch black inside. He couldn't see anything. He put his hands in, searching for a button or any mechanism that might activate something.

However, he leaned in further and still couldn't touch the bottom.

"Hmmm…" He leaned more and more.

"Ah!" His hands slipped, and he fell inside the chest.

But instead of landing at the bottom, he continued to fall.

His undead tried to jump in but couldn't because the chest was too small.

The space expanded from a narrow hole into a large room.

Anvil landed on the ground.

But the ground wasn't hard — it was squishy. The impact was absorbed, and he was flung upward again.

He fell once more but didn't generate enough force to bounce again.

Anvil crawled to a part of the ground that wasn't soft.

He stood and looked around.

It was a cave, overflowing with wild plant life.

Green moss covered the walls. Large plants hung down from the ceiling.

The ground was bumpy and covered with tiny rocks.

At the center of the room stood a giant statue.

It was green in color, though dull. Its hue resembled that of the Statue of Liberty, a historical relic heavily protected as a remnant of the peaceful past.

It was so tall that even when Anvil looked up, he couldn't see its head. Lying down to get a better view didn't help — the part above the chest was shrouded in darkness.

He walked near its massive legs.

"How the heck am I going to destroy this statue? And why is it marked as an enemy?"

Soon, he got his answer.

Crack! Crack!

The sound of breaking stone echoed in his ears.

"Huh?" Confused, he looked up.

His eyes widened when he saw the huge leg lifting.

"What the fuck?" He blinked, trying to comprehend.

Swoosh!

"Curse my luck!" He ran with all his might.

The leg came down with a speed that defied physics.

"No way! A giant rat, a giant snake, and now a giant statue?! Why does every giant want to kill me?! What did I do?!" he screamed, diving out of the way.

Bang! Boom!

The impact pushed him away with such force that he landed 25 meters from where he had dived.

"Ah… Ow ow ow… This hurts." He stood, pain shooting through his legs. His arms were scraped and bleeding.

Suddenly, his legs felt hot.

He took out his dagger.

It was heating up. Even the sheath felt warm. He drew the blade.

The blood dagger glowed bright red.

Warm currents surged through his body, filling him with bliss, but a cold wind jolted him back to his senses.

He looked at the statue — and his heart nearly stopped.

The giant head was staring at him. Its hollow eye sockets were filled with darkness, like endless abysses.

The face was eerie, sending goosebumps across his skin and making it feel as if millions of ants were crawling over him.

He instinctively stepped back.

The statue's grin widened, revealing sharp, jagged teeth carved in stone. The grin radiated an unnatural eeriness that could make anyone faint.

A stone halo floated above its head, and its giant hand was raised.

"I can… see where this is going." Anvil cursed his luck again and prepared to run.

But then he noticed something.

His wounds were gone. Not a scratch remained, and he felt no pain.

Then he remembered — he had magic items!

The dagger was extremely sharp, capable of healing him and cutting through any defense.

And the ring…

"How do I activate this thing?" he muttered. As he spoke, a green glint shone in the gemstone.

A dark aura spread from the ring.

A sudden burst of energy erupted within him.

"Huh." He felt strange.

The world around him slowed.

The statue's arm was descending at a crawl.

The air itself seemed to move sluggishly.

He moved… and in an instant —

"Woah!" He had covered ten meters in a second.

"So this is what 'enhancing the body' means," he thought, excitement filling him.

But he quickly slapped his forehead. "The danger is right here, and I'm acting like an idiot." The ring wouldn't supply him with power forever.

And he didn't know how strong the statue was.

He needed to finish this quickly.

He reached its leg and slashed with the dagger.

"Wow…" he exclaimed at how smoothly it cut through the stone.

Still, the cut was small compared to the skyscraper-thick leg.

But it gave him hope.

An idea struck him.

He deactivated the ring, watching as the statue's hand lowered toward him.

Just as it reached the ground, he reactivated the ring and jumped.

He landed on the arm and ran up.

Boom!

The palm hit the ground, shaking the arm, but Anvil pressed on.

The statue's speed suddenly increased.

Its other arm swung toward him.

Anvil flipped through the air, landing on the second arm as it collided with the first.

He ran upward — the arm seemed endless — until he reached the shoulder.

He kicked off and jumped high toward the head.

"Now!" He aimed his dagger and dove at the neck.

Spinning rapidly midair, he cut deep into the stone.

He landed at the base of the neck and jumped again, widening the cut.

The statue's arms swatted at its neck, but Anvil leaped onto them, slicing through stone as he moved.

Within a minute, he had severed an entire arm.

He returned to cutting the neck.

It was thick and wide, but in five minutes, he had cut halfway through.

The head began to tilt backward.

Crack! Boom!

The neck gave way, and with one final slash, the head fell.

Boom!

It rolled and shattered.

The body began collapsing.

Anvil ran down the statue, driving his dagger into the stone to control his descent.

He landed ten meters away as the entire statue fell behind him, the crash followed by a gust of dust and rubble.

"I am cool," he thought — then immediately gave up trying to look dramatic and ran away.

From a safe distance, he waited for the dust to settle before approaching the rubble.

The statue was truly destroyed. His notifications appeared.
