"Sasuke is the legitimate son of the head of the Uchiha clan, yet he's wearing it too!" Sakura scoffed with a smirk. "They're the Number One family in Konoha. Your Hyuga clan can only rank second. If the top clan isn't worried about wearing it, why should the second-ranked one be?"
"This is such pointless resistance," Sasuke said coldly. Truthfully, he wanted to rip this outfit off and stomp on it angrily. But he couldn't. Sakura had warned him that if he didn't behave himself, she'd print and distribute across Konoha pictures of him dressed up as a cat-maid and other female outfits. Just thinking about everyone in Konoha discovering his secret made Sasuke feel completely hopeless.
It was his own fault for being so gullible back then and falling for it completely. Still, people often find comfort in sharing their misery. If he could drag someone from the Hyuga clan down with him, that would be even better. Then he wouldn't be the only embarrassing one anymore.
"Just obey and put it on!"
A sly glimmer flashed through Sakura's eyes as the Mind Stone subtly activated, beginning to influence Neji's mind.
When Neji finally broke free from mental control, he saw Sakura standing before him holding a camera and taking pictures. Somehow, without realizing when, he had already changed into that maid uniform.
Sasuke, whose face had remained emotionless for days after discovering the deception, finally cracked a smile. Having someone else share his suffering finally brought him relief.
"Be a good boy and listen carefully!" Sakura waved her camera menacingly. "Otherwise, I won't mind letting everyone in the shinobi world see what Neji Hyuga looks like in women's clothing."
"I'll cooperate." Neji responded bitterly, his Byakugan eyes shimmering with tears.
"Don't look so miserable. You know the saying—once you go cross-dressing, there's no turning back. Get used to it a bit, and you'll actually come to love the feeling!"
Sakura comforted him, worried that otherwise Neji might suffer a cerebral hemorrhage.
"That's absolutely impossible!" Neji stared at Sakura intensely with his Byakugan eyes. "Just wait! One day, I will defeat you, and restore the honor of my house that you've disgraced!"
Privately, Sakura quietly scolded herself for dragging another innocent person down her mischievous path, but looking up at the two cross-dressed guys filled her heart with satisfaction. All in the name of fun!
Customers who came to Ichiraku Ramen Shop today noticed a new pretty girl working behind the counter. Judging by those eyes, she appeared to belong to the prestigious Hyuga family. Almost everyone entering for a meal or passing by unconsciously stole glances at Neji—after all, the Hyuga clan was famous within Konoha as a noble household. It wasn't often one saw their members working publicly.
Neji's smile almost twisted out of shape. His heart overflowed with endless despair—the centuries-old reputation of the Hyuga clan would now collapse under his actions.
"Stop overthinking and just get used to it. We mortals can't even hope to resist her power!" Sasuke comforted his teammate with a pat on the shoulder. He had already accepted his fate—this cute girl with emerald-green eyes was simply a demon. As mere mortals, they should just obey obediently.
"No way! I'll never accept this! One day, I'll make sure she knows exactly how this shame feels!" Neji gritted his teeth.
"Are you out of your mind? She's a girl—of course she wears women's clothes!" Sasuke chuckled. To them, wearing dresses was humiliating, but for her, it was completely normal.
"Then make her wear men's clothes then!" Neji growled through clenched teeth. He wouldn't rest in peace without revenge.
"Drop it. Even if she wore men's clothes, so what? Everyone would just say how dashing she looked. Besides, do you really think we can beat her?" Sasuke remained expressionless. He wasn't untried in resistance himself—but every time he somehow mysteriously lost consciousness and woke up wearing dresses, striking awkward, exaggerated poses while Sakura took pictures. After several consecutive days of that, he'd finally given in.
"Is this truly our destiny?" Neji clenched his fists, eyes filled with fury and sorrow.
Sakura had no idea what Neji and Sasuke had been talking about. Right now, she stood inside the Hokage Office, astonished.
"Has Kumogakure gone mad? Where did they get the confidence to actually go to war with us?"
"The ninja from Kumogakure have begun gathering along the borders!" The Third exhaled smoke, feeling genuinely troubled by Kumogakure's recklessly aggressive nature.
"It seems Fourth Raikage believes that now that the Fourth Hokage has died, Konoha no longer has anyone who can stand against him!"
Sakura naturally knew about the experiences of the Fourth Raikage and his brother Killer Bee. When they fought Namikaze Minato, they were full of confidence, only to be crushed instantly. Probably realizing that the Fourth Hokage had now died, they must've felt Konoha lacked anyone capable of opposing them.
"Kumogakure's [Taijutsu] is especially famous, particularly the Raikage—the abilities of every Raikage generation have been extraordinary in physical combat. Additionally, Kumogakure's secret [Lightning Release Chakra Mode] greatly enhances their physical qualities, especially their speed. At present, except for The Second Hokage and Minato, there's literally no one in Konoha who can keep up with them!"
The Third explained. Kumogakure's fighting style focused primarily on [Taijutsu]. Their physical strength was disgustingly strong—take the Third Raikage as an example: he held off thousands upon thousands of Iwagakure ninjas alone as rearguard until he ran out of chakra and died. That battle had left Iwagakure severely damaged.
"That's not necessarily true!" Sakura shook her head though. The Fourth Raikage was indeed fast, but once someone from the Uchiha clan awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, they could keep up already—it was just that the physical capabilities of the Uchiha weren't comparable to theirs.
As far as Sakura knew, although the Uchiha clan publicly appeared to have no one who had awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, Fugaku had actually already unlocked it. Even Itachi, the one who also awakened the Mangekyou, wasn't sure if he could defeat him. If Fugaku hadn't chosen to sacrifice himself to protect Itachi and Sasuke, Danzo's plan to eradicate the Uchiha clan wouldn't have succeeded so easily.
