For days, weeks, seasons that passed in silence.

Chapter 1 - Shadows of That Day
His name was Mai. A second-year college student with the soul of a poet and the weight of the past stitched into every step he took.
To the world, he was quiet polite, collected. But within him brewed a storm he could not speak of, A silence deeper than loneliness itself.
That evening, as the sun dipped behind the faded skyline, Mai sat atop the rooftop of his old building, Where cracked walls whispered stories of his childhood, And rusted railings still held onto laughter long gone.
The sky burned orange, And in its glow, he found fragments of a memory A girl with a smile that once lit up his dull days.
She was gone now,
Not in death,
But in distance - lost in the tide of time and decisions.
He did not know if she remembered him, But he remembered every detail of her.
And that memory,
That lingering warmth,
Was both his blessing and nis curse.
Mai pulled his scarf tighter, Not because of the cold wind, But because his heart had started to ache again.
