Chapter 4 - Chapter 3.

School ended with the six friends making my life miserable as usual, and as usual, I endured until the hours were over and it was finally time to leave that hell.

Everyday I went home with a new bruise from school. My body is probably covered in scars now, but I don't care to check because I hated seeing all what I've survived so far. It might break me knowing more was coming.

On my way home, my stomach growled loudly and I suddenly remembered the twenty my roommate gave me earlier today for breakfast.

I haven't eaten yet.

I quickly brought it out of my pocket, and just like that, my bad day brightened up.

I sighed dreamily as I thought about how cool she was today when she saved me from that man who wanted to hit me, and how enchanting she looks with only a towel on.

Although she's a girl, my roommate had tattoos and muscular arms that shows she must be involved in some hard work. She worked several jobs from what I know and only come home at midnight, so I could tell she is a very hard worker.

I wonder what it would feel like if those arms were wrapped around me. Will they be warm like I think they will be, or would they be as cold as her personality?

I shook the thought out of my head and smiled at the money again.

I can't wait to see her. She's the only thing I look forward to nowadays. The only one who cares even a little.

I went to a nearby diner and ordered some spicy noodles and a fried eggs. The waiter was giving me strange looks, probably judging my face, but I didn't care. I felt too happy about thoughts of my corridor mate to care.

I thanked the waiter when he placed it in front of me, and I was about to dig in when I heard a voice behind me.

"Oh my God! Look who it is!" All of a sudden, my six bullies were seated at my table around me. The table was only capable of accommodating four, but the other three brought their chairs to join us. The leader Josh was the one with a delightful smile, "so the freak eats as well? I thought you're too poor even to afford food."

Amy laughed. She always laughed at everything Josh said even though it isn't funny. "The food is just as cheap and disgusting as it's owner. Isn't that right Josh?"

Ken scoffed, "I can't believe you have the strength to stomach food after letting me get a B+ on my math test. Fuck I'm so angry!" He ran a hand through his hair. I know they were inching to hit me or do something brutal to me, but thank God we are in public.

"Should we make the food more tasty for her?" Caleb said in a singsong tone. He brought out a carton of milk from his pocket and popped it open. They all covered their noses at the awful smell. "Sorry, it's rotten!" He exclaimed with a grin.

"Let me do it babe, please!" Stacy pleaded.

"Fine, I'll let you have this one because I love you." He handed the milk to her and she clapped her hand joyfully.

Without hesitation, she poured it all over my noodles. "I'm sure you'll find it tasty now Gianna."

Josh leaned in with a smile, "now eat. Dog food suits you better."

Tears welled up in my eyes as my shaky hands picked up the fork. I scooped some of the awful smelling noodles unto it and held it half way to my lips.

"Go on, eat!" Josh urged in a warning tone.

I almost dipped it into my mouth when a hand grabbed my wrist to stop me surprising us all.

We all glanced up, and my heart did a flip when I found my roommate standing there with a thunderous glare on her face directed at my bullies.

She took the fork from me and angrily dumped it back on the plate. "Why do you want her to eat it so bad? Why don't you try some first?!"

Josh banged the table in anger drawing attention to us. He stood up to get in my corridor mate's face. His attempt to intimidate her was futile because they were both the same height. In fact, my corridor mate is taller.

"Who the fuck do you think you are to interfere with what I do with my friends?" He growled.

She scoffed, "friends? You ruined her lunch and is forcing her to eat it. If that's what you do to your friends, then some friend you are?"

Josh glared harshly at her. Just like always his hands were inching to hurt her. They was always aggressive when he is angry, and I knew it won't be long before he lost control and hit her.

I stood up to stand beside her. "I'm fine. Let's not cause a scene please."

Josh grinned, "see, she's fine. We're just messing around." He gently pocked her shoulder, "You shouldn't stick your nose where it doesn't belong."

"Touch me again and I'll fucking break every single bone in your body and maybe put your nose where it doesn't belong jerk!"

Josh eyes flashed and he raised his fist to punch her, but I got in the way and he ended up punching me instead.

Fuck! My face has received so many assaults today.

Before I would hit the ground, strong arms caught me.

"Fuck, are you okay?!" My roommate asked in worry, and that was enough for the pain to fade away and my heart to flutter.

She glared at Josh who was smirking in victory, "motherfucker!" She would have gone at him if she wasn't holding unto me.

A waiter came forward, "um please can you all leave? You're disturbing the peace of the other customers."

"We'll see again Gianna," Josh smirked at me, and he turned around and strolled out with his friends following behind him.

My corridor mate growled in anger, "I should have punched his arrogant face."

I smiled at her. No one has ever stood up for me before my bullies. This is new and exciting. "I'm fine though, thank you."

She looked down at me with her piercing grey eyes, cold and angry. All of a sudden, she grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the diner.

Her touch felt both strange and warm at the same time. It left my heart pounding heavily in my chest. No one have ever held me this much my entire life.

I think I might have found something worth living for, something worth struggling for.

I finally found a meaning to my life.

And that's my roommate.

Even though I don't know her name.

DEADLY REVENGE.
