Chapter 7 - [Lost Memories] Chapter 6

Wandering aimlessly through the forest, their ears filled with the chirping of various birds. There was a strange scent in the forest, not as strong as perfume, but rather as delicate as a very comfortable and natural feeling.

Lienwu greedily sucked in the fresh air, her eyes slightly closed, her expression devoutly as if she were attending a religious ceremony.

It was like the faint rustling of leaves, a brief moment without an echo.

"What sound?" Lianwu suddenly opened his eyes.

"There's no sound." Gu You thought that Lian Wu was overthinking it. He had been paying attention to the surroundings and there was no other sound except the faint sounds from the forest itself.

Lianwu dismounted, tied the REINS to a new little tree, and said to Gu You, "Dismount, follow me."

Gu You thought Lian Wu was joking again and ignored him.

Another soft thud, followed by the shrill sound of ironware in the ears. Lian Wu no longer cared about Gu You, drew his short sword from his calf and ran in the direction from which the sound came. Gu You quickly jumped off his horse, tied it up and followed.

The two ran warily for a long distance and found the edge of a dried-up river valley. The bottom of the valley was overgrown with green grass, spreading out in the direction of the river valley. Two of them lay on the high ground along the edge of the valley, covered by weeds that were half a person's height.

There was no human figure in sight, only a white horse, cut in half by it, gushing blood and staining the surrounding ground and grass red.

Lian Wu seemed to have heard something and whispered to Gu You, "Come with me." Having said that, he stood up, half-bent, and ran eastward along the riverbank with the cover of the weeds. Gu You was about to ask him why he had forgotten to take off his weapon when he had saved himself by stealing the armor of the Light Knight. But seeing Lian Wu's agile figure, he had no choice but to hurry up and follow.

The river valley stretched eastward for a short while and then turned a corner, turning northward. At the bend, the dance stopped, for he had found the source of the sound of the ironware.

In the valley, four knights in black armor were chasing a running man in a red robe. The horse just now should have belonged to the man in the red robe. The man was fast, but it could be vaguely seen that his legs and feet were not in good condition, and he ran with deep and shallow feet. He held a bow of the same color as his clothes in his left hand, and from time to time he turned his head and shot a fire-like arrow from it.

And the Black-armored knight always swung his hand axe to block the arrow.

"You say, who are we helping?" "Ask Lian Wu.

Gu You said, "I have no weapon."

Lian Wu picked up a stone and handed it to Gu You, saying, "Let's use this. I think your skill with stones is already quite good."

Gu You took the stone and said helplessly, "Then we'll help the man being hunted down by the knights." In his eyes, it seemed that all the knights in the world were not good.

"That's it." With that, Lianwu rushed down to the bottom of the valley.

The man in the red robe suddenly fell to the ground and was about to try to get up when four knights had surrounded him. The hooves of the horse kept rising, stepping down and trampling on the rich grass. Clumps of mud were lifted up by the heavy hooves and fell onto the red robe that was spread out. The knights surrounded the man in the red robe, but they were not in a hurry to catch him or kill him. Just let their horses keep trampling the ground as if to tell the man in the red robe: We can trample you to pieces.

"Good noon, knights." Lian Wu ran to a place about twenty steps away from the knight and stopped, then bowed to the black-armored knight.

One of the knights looked at Lianwu and said in a deep, hoarse voice, "Knights of Light, whether you are on duty now or not, move away. Don't you see that we are on duty?" The voice was full of disdain.

Gu You ran over to Lian Wu and stopped. Lian Wu whispered to him, "It seems that these dark-skinned people are in the same gang as the Light Knights. None of them are good people." You chose to help the man in the red robe, and it seems you made the right choice."

"Did you not hear that? Go away!" The knight spoke again.

Gu You took a few steps forward and suddenly threw the stone in his hand. The knight swung his black axe and cut the stone into pieces. Then the knight took control of the black-robed war chamber? . ?

Lian Wu said to Gu You, "I think these people are not as easy to deal with as the Knights of Light. What should we do?"

The warhorse suddenly quickened its speed and brushed past Gu You. Gu You had retreated, but the axe hit his helmet, causing a dull pain in his head and the helmet was knocked off.

Hair fell down, along with a wisp of blood.

The warhorse charged at Lian Wu, and the axe spun in the knight's hand, no longer visible in substance. What was seen was a black ring made up of the remnants of the axe. As the warhorse glided past him, he suddenly crawled from under the horse's belly to the other side of the warhorse. Just as he was about to strike the knight with his short sword, the knight's left hand plucked another axe from his waist and drew a black crescent. Lian Wu quickly stepped back, and the crescent drew across his forehead. Fortunately, he retreated in time, and the axe blade left only a faint scar on his helmet.

"What a fast pace." Lian Wu couldn't help but exclaim.

The warhorse slowed down, and the knight proudly struck two axes with a shrill sound.

A few streaks of blood suddenly oozed from the horse's belly, and the knight was about to make the next round of attack when the horse beneath him split into two pieces. The rider fell heavily to the ground, but the saddle remained intact.

It turned out that Lienwu had launched the attack as he crawled from under the horse to the other side.

"Yes, you have that move." Gu You said, covering the wound on his head.

One of the knights surrounding the red-robed man shouted over here, "Friend, do you need any help?"

The knight sitting on the ground stood up, fiddling with his axe and said, "You hold that man first. I'll deal with the two bastards here."

Gu You crouched down and said to Lian Wu, "This man is in your hands. Please help me take his axe. I need a weapon."

"No problem. Two against one seems unfair. I usually like one against two. This bastard is left to me. You rest first." Lian Wu imitated the knight by manipulating the two short swords, but due to his lack of skill, one of the swords failed to catch and fell, nearly piercing his own foot.

He bent down to pull out the sword stuck in the ground, but the knight seized the opportunity to step forward, and two axes attacked from both sides.

The two swords blocked the sweeping axe, and then the black-armored knight's chin was kicked by Lian Wu. Then the short sword in his right hand fluttered in his hand, circling around the knight's left hand, leaving several bloodstains. The knight's left hand loosened, and the axe fell. Then the knight was hit hard in the chest and took several steps back.

"Compete with me in speed, you're probably sick." "Lian Wu said, deliberately twisting his body.

The knight's axe fell from above, and Lianwu blocked the axe with his sword and kicked the knight in the chest again. At the same time, the knight's left punch landed on his chest.

Both of them took a few steps back, and Lienwu lowered his head to see a shallow fist-sized dent on his breastplate. He shouted, "This fist is too heavy!"

The knight bent down to pick up the axe on the ground, but was kicked on the head by Lian Wu, who had been several steps away from him just a moment ago. The body was tilted, and the cold short sword pierced through the black armor on the knight's shoulder, and the blade pierced straight in until only the hilt was exposed.

The knight struggled to raise his right hand, but the axe in his hand dropped to the ground. The short sword was drawn away by Lian Wu, and the knight's body fell heavily.

Gu You, who was beside him, was almost stunned.

Lian Wu picked up two axes, threw them to Gu You, and then raised his head proudly, saying, "Don't be envious. This is what a real person does not show his face. Actually, I'm good at fighting too, at least according to the current record, I'm better at fighting than you."

Two more warhorses came towards Lianwu. Lianwu gave Gu You a wink and said, "Quick, one each, see who wins first."

Gu You, still crouching on the ground, said lazily, "You just said you like one against two. I'll just watch here and cheer you on."

"Hey - How could that be? Help me..." Lian Wu tried to get closer to Gu You, but was blocked in front by a horse. The axe made a creaking sound in the air, and Lianwu hurriedly stepped back, but another knight also blocked him from behind.

"Gu You - help me quickly -" Lian Wu shouted as he dodged the swishing blade of the axe.

Two knights blocked Lianwu in the middle, and the four axes kept attacking. But Lianwu had to use two short swords as his protective shield, rapidly changing his hands to block the knight's attack, but he had no chance to attack.

"Gu You, you idiot!" Fortunately, the mouth was idle, and Lian Wu would curse from time to time.

One of the knights raised the axe high and was about to drop it heavily when a deep wound was torn on his wrist by the axe that emerged out of nowhere. Even before he knew who was attacking him, another piercing pain came from his shoulder. Then, something hit him on the head, and the rider shook his horse a few times before falling off.

Gu You leapt onto his warhorse and swung his axe at the knight who was still attacking Lian Wu on the side.

The man in the red robe, lying on the ground, quietly raised the bow on his left hand, and a red light shot out. The knight beside Lian Wu changed from attacking to defending, struggling to guard against the unpredictable attacks of the two men. Though he had already sensed the power from the other side, there was no extra strength left to defend. A red beam pierced through his chest, and the knight's black body landed the warhorse.

The knight standing beside the red-robed man suddenly panicked and raised his axe to strike the red-robed man on the ground. The man in the red robe turned pale and was powerless to resist. Looking up at the high axe, he prayed in silence as if awaiting a grand death sentence.

The axe flew out of Gu You's hand and passed over the knight's neck. The knight's hand gave way, and the axe fell and landed very close to the red robe. Then the knight's body fell down as well.

Gu You jumped off his horse and walked with Lian Wu to the man. A stream of blood gushed from the corner of the man's mouth and trickled down his face into his disheveled black hair. The man looked at the two men in front of him and said, "You are really a troublemaking man."

 The two men were stunned.

"But, a good person." The man laughed with difficulty, "Friend, I need to find a doctor right now, but it's better not to go into the city - you see, someone is chasing after me."

Lian Wu looked at Gu You and said, "Both of you need a doctor. Get on the horse and I'll take you there."
