Chapter 1 - Reawakening

The spacious villa room was bathed in soft golden sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Crystal light fixtures shimmered above, casting delicate reflections over the polished marble floor. Standing in front of a full-length mirror, a young man adjusted the cuffs of his midnight-blue designer jacket.

He was tall and lean, his build athletic yet refined—like a sculpture come to life. His features were sharp and magnetic, framed by jet-black hair that fell naturally in soft waves. His obsidian eyes glimmered with a mischievous light, and his lips curved into a smile filled with confidence.

He looked every bit like a celebrity, or more precisely, like someone born to be admired.

"System loading..."

"Demigod System activated."

"Host information loading..."

Hearing the cold mechanical voice echo in his mind, the young man's smirk deepened.

"So it wasn't a dream after all," he murmured, his voice low and calm. "I really did come to another world… and into someone else's body."

His name—now—was Chen Feng. Just hours ago, he'd opened his eyes in this luxurious room with the memories of another life crashing into his consciousness. He was no longer the ordinary university student he used to be. Somehow, by a twist of fate or a crack in space-time, he had transmigrated into this new reality.

The world he now lived in was called Blue Star. On the surface, it resembled Earth in many ways—modern cities, technology, internet, and even the same languages. But two massive differences set it apart:

Ferocious beasts roamed beyond city borders, and superpowers were real.

From the memories inherited from this body, Chen Feng knew he now belonged to the prestigious Chen Family, one of the most powerful clans in Daxia, one of the six superpowers of this world. And just earlier today, at the age of sixteen, he had awakened his superpower—a rite of passage for all youth in this world.

The result?

S-level Blue Sky Thunder.

Raising his right hand, Chen Feng casually snapped his fingers.

Crackle!

Tiny arcs of brilliant blue-white lightning sparked to life between his fingertips, dancing and flickering like miniature dragons.

"Superpowers…" he muttered, his voice touched with nostalgia. "In my old world, this would have made headlines. But here, it's just the beginning."

Everyone on Blue Star awakened a superpower at sixteen. From elemental abilities like fire, water, and lightning, to mental skills, beast transformations, healing gifts, and more—the possibilities were endless. Powers were ranked from F to SSS, with most people only unlocking D or E.

Only a select few can reach C- and B-level powers, and those who can awaken A-level powers are considered the very best!

Higher-level S-, SS-, and SSS-level powers are even rarer, appearing only once every few years, even decades.

But S-level? That was exceptional. A power that could shake a city. A power that would place him among the elite.

Unsurprisingly, as soon as the Chen Family found out, his communicator had exploded with messages.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Text after text congratulating him. From family elders to distant cousins, from childhood friends to opportunistic classmates. Everyone wanted to get close to him now.

Yet, just as Chen Feng was enjoying the moment, the system's voice rang out again:

"Ding! Due to the unique space-time interference from the host's transmigration, anomalies have occurred in the awakening process."

"Ding! Host has awakened a second superpower: S-level [Space Slasher]."

Chen Feng's eyes widened.

"Two superpowers?! That's… that's impossible."

His heart pounded. As far as the inherited memories went, no one in recorded history had ever awakened twice, let alone gained two S-level powers.

The realization hit him hard—this wasn't just a new start. It was a cheat. A bug in the fabric of reality.

He inhaled deeply, excitement bubbling in his chest. "Could it be… the soul that came from another world caused it? Like in those transmigration novels?"

Wanting confirmation, Chen Feng did what he had read countless times before. He spoke aloud:

"Status."

At once, a semi-transparent blue screen appeared before him, filled with glowing text.

[Name]: Chen Feng

[Level]: Lower First Level

[Power 1]: Blue Sky Thunder (S-rank), Space Slasher (S-rank)

[Physique]: 280 Qi and Blood

[Spirit]: 290 Hertz

[Skills]: Marksmanship

[Power Points]: 0

He stared at the interface for a long moment.

"Space Slasher…" he whispered. "What kind of power is that?"

He didn't know the exact ability yet, but just from the name and category, he could tell—it was a space element power.

Space abilities were classified under elemental-type powers, just like fire, ice, wind, or lightning. But unlike others, space was extremely rare. In fact, an S-rank space power was almost as rare as an SS-rank superpower.

"Most people only get beast transformation abilities… and I got this?" he whispered, amazed.

Then, a serious expression crossed his face.

"Wait. Everyone already knows I awakened lightning… but if they find out about the second one…"

It would cause chaos.

People might become afraid. Jealous. Or worse, try to eliminate him before he became too powerful.

He couldn't take that risk.

Chen Feng took a deep breath and nodded to himself.

"I'll keep it secret. My trump card."

A devilish smile appeared on his face. "Let's call it... my last weapon."

Suddenly, a knock came from the door.

Knock knock.

"Young Master," came an old but strong voice. "Master Yan is waiting for you in the main hall."

Chen Feng blinked, then nodded. He recognized the voice. From the memories in his head, he knew it belonged to Zhao Shan, the personal butler and old friend of his grandfather.

It made sense. His awakening would definitely draw the attention of the family patriarch.

He tidied his clothes and fixed his expression. There could be no trace of strangeness in his manner. No one could know that Chen Feng was no longer the same person.

Opening the door with practiced ease, he found himself face-to-face with a tall, broad-shouldered middle-aged man.

Zhao Shan.

The two looked at each other for a brief moment. Chen Feng didn't speak. He didn't need to.

He could feel it just from standing near him—a deadly aura, sharp and strong like a blade pressed to the skin.

"So this is what a rank eight martial artist feels like," Chen Feng thought silently.

Zhao Shan wasn't just a servant. He was a powerful beast-type Awakener, and one of the Chen Family's top combatants. A veteran with an A-rank superpower, and deep loyalty to the family.

A slight smile appeared on Zhao Shan's face. "Congratulations, Young Master, on awakening an S-rank ability. The old master is very pleased."

Chen Feng gave a polite nod. "Thank you, Uncle Shan."

Without further words, the two began walking down the hall.
