Naruto and Sasuke defeated Kaguya—but at the cost of their lives. The war left a bitter aftertaste for those who loved them, especially Sakura and Kakashi. While Kakashi became Hokage and devoted himself to preventing further bloodshed, Sakura shut herself away in her lab, unable to accept the death of her two teammates. In secret, she worked tirelessly, driven by the hope of bringing back the two people she cherished most. But one experiment went terribly wrong—an accident that sent her far from them... yet somehow, closer than ever. She was back where it all began.

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

The war had ended two years ago. Villagers from across the different lands had slowly returned to their routines. Joy could be seen on faces still marked by the scars of a painful time. The village of Konoha had regained its color as homes were hastily rebuilt. No visible trace of the war remained—as if everyone had silently agreed to a collective amnesia. Only the cemetery, rebuilt on the outskirts of the village, served as a reminder of what had happened.

The injustice of not honoring their heroes properly had finally broken Sakura Haruno. Since the war's end, she had locked herself away in her lab. The once cheerful and naive kunoichi was no more. Her life was now tied to the past—a past where Naruto and Sasuke still existed. She couldn't move on, much to the concern of Kakashi, the new Hokage, who desperately needed the talents of his former student.

After the deaths of Naruto and Sasuke, Sakura remained one of the few powerful shinobi left. She had fought against Kaguya and developed superhuman strength during the war—surpassing even Tsunade.

As Sakura manipulated her chakra once again, clinging to the hope of bringing Naruto and Sasuke back to life, a sudden explosion tore through her lab, wounding her severely. Lying on the ground, shards of glass embedded deep in her battered body, Sakura was losing blood rapidly. She knew she was dying, but instead of fearing death, she felt at peace—relieved at the thought of reuniting with the two people she loved most.

Her final breath carried her last prayers—all of them whispered in the name of love. She wanted only love. Like a silent incantation, she thought of the love she had longed to give, of the peace love could have brought to a world so devoid of humanity. Of the lives love might have saved… but it was too late.
