Nianshen cast his thoughts across the entire layered cosmos, witnessing only a scene of chaos in the absence of fate.
Everything could only be known in the present; the future became undefined and unmeasurable. Even the most basic of things could no longer be known.
Where did this variable originate? A variable capable of altering all of fate. Though it could be predicted, it still changed. Why?
Nianshen judged it was due to the absence of the Fate Ancient God.
With a mere thought, he returned to the world of the Ancient Gods.
The fun ends here. His finger moved slightly, and from the core of the laws, a new Fate Ancient God began to regenerate.
Inheriting the memory of the previous Fate master, the new Ancient God immediately submitted to Nianshen.
Nianshen looked down at the Ancient God beneath his feet, then gazed up at all the others observing him.
They all felt a chilling cold spread through them; most of the Ancient Gods promptly submitted as well.
However, there were still those who remained defiant those unwilling to bow to a mere human.
They were the Ancient Gods of Space, Time, and Causality the mightiest among the Ancient Gods.
Seeing this, Nianshen simply found it amusing that someone dared to oppose him. He allowed them to act freely, curious what tricks they might attempt.
To him, as a concept, space, time, and causality could not touch him.
Space, Time, and Causality began to wield their laws, distorting everything.
They knew they couldn't touch a concept directly but perhaps they could do so indirectly.
Immediately, the surrounding space turned strange, collapsing and reforming.
Time became erratic, moving so fast that the future turned into the past. Causality shrouded everything in a barrier no cause meant no effect could exist.
The Ancient Gods unleashed their most powerful techniques, but to Nianshen, it was nothing more than child's play.
Tired of the flashy theatrics, he pointed into the void. Instantly, space and time reversed.
At their core, the laws of space and time vanished. This world turned into a chaotic mass not void, but an aberration formed by foreign laws.
Causality? Laughable. A concept required no cause or effect.
He erased causality with a snap of his fingers.
He deliberately allowed these three Ancient Gods to remain. If the core law was gone, they would end up like Fate.
The three Ancient Gods felt an emptiness, drifting amidst chaos.
Their essence space, time, and causality had vanished.
By instinct, they submitted before Nianshen, a human who could influence the laws a true absurdity.
Nianshen smirked, entertained by his own overwhelming display. A deep satisfaction surged in him.
With a wave of his hand, he vanished from the realm of the Ancient Gods. Leaving behind confused gods, who soon began to disappear one by one.
He did not like anyone knowing of his existence unless necessary.
So, Nianshen decided to erase all the Ancient Gods who had laid eyes on him.
Outside, he surveyed the layered cosmos just an endless stretch of worlds fading into a limitless future. Somewhat boring.
But he had no goal nor desire, so he quietly departed, searching for another universe to explore.
This cradle housed infinite universes, and not all universes were the same they also had ranks.
The higher the rank, the more incomprehensible and imaginative it became.
A lower-ranked universe could never perceive a higher one, even if it was right in front of it.
The universe he had just visited was Rank 3 of infinite yet limited complexity.
Though layered infinitely, at one point it was still finite not truly infinite.
Rank 2 universes lacked the concept of infinity, merely expanding at limitless speed—standard universes.
Rank 1 wasn't even a universe yet, merely a space that contained entities.
Rank 4? Universes with a higher degree of infinity, not bound by any definition.
At every point, there was true infinity. That was a high-infinity universe.
And Rank 5? Infinitely complex or infinity-beyond-infinity. Universes layered upon infinite layers of infinite layers. This complexity was essentially multidimensional infinity.
But it felt meaningless, as all of them were contained within the cradle—the place that held all universes.
Nianshen cast his mind across the cradle.
He located a peculiar Rank 3 universe.
It seemed… chaotic.
Perhaps an anomaly had emerged.
