A vague voice that sounded strangely familiar echoed in his mind, making Dylan's hand, still resting on the door handle, jerk back as if electrocuted.
"What the hell was that...?" he muttered, scanning the pink-walled bedroom behind him.
Aside from his messy bed and the half-finished snack wrappers, nothing seemed out of place. His headphones continued to blare the heated arguments between his teammates.

He scratched his head, shrugged it off, and opened the door. His body was tired, and his logical mind reminded him hallucinations weren't unusual after sleep deprivation. He'd read enough case studies in med school to know auditory distortions were common precursors to collapse.
Still, it wouldn't hurt to run one last raid before logging off. Just one.
He was halfway to the bathroom when it came again.
[Don't break the fourth wall, you clever little thing.]
His brows twitched. "...Huh?"
A second later, his body stepped into the bathroom—and everything shattered.
An explosion of white light erupted around him like a flashbang going off in his own toilet.
His mind screamed as pain shredded through his skull like a meat grinder. The toilet, the shower, even the tiled floor disappeared.
All that remained was blinding light—and a cold voice:
"That was once holy ground. You do not understand the true meaning of your sin now, but you will soon."
"Damn it, who made the toilet a sacred site?!"
Before he could process anything else, the floor beneath him vanished. His body dropped, tumbling into a depthless void.
His breath caught. His heart spasmed.
This was...death.
His consciousness spiraled.

Two voices. Female. One anxious, one calm.
"How long are we talking? The Astral Express crew is inbound. We were told not to engage."

The impact knocked Dylan out of his death spiral.
He clung desperately to the first warm thing he landed on—soft, warm, and smelling like apples.
A mouth pressed against his.
Then a tongue.
"Mmm?!"
Silver Wolf blinked.
Her lips were dry.
Her tongue flicked out.
Then froze.
Her eyes snapped open.
A man—an actual living, breathing male—was pressed against her. Their lips locked. His arms wrapped around her like a vice.
And... she had just licked his lips.
She stared, shell-shocked.
Dylan tried to breathe. Tried to apologize. But all that escaped was a whisper:
"Soft..."
BAM!
Her fist slammed into his gut, launching him across the corridor.
But before she could initiate a system wipe to erase this humiliation from all data logs—
A hand caught her wrist.
Kafka.
"Pfft. Silver Wolf, wasn't he the one Elio meant by 'surprise'?"
Silver Wolf flushed red. No reply.
Kafka smirked. "Don't act innocent. You kissed first."
Still nothing.
Kafka looked down at Dylan, who was curled up groaning.
"Poor thing," she said softly. "You really don't belong here... yet."

Dylan's body began to change.
His muscles twitched. His bones groaned.
His neural network lit up like a Christmas tree as Astartes-level implants fused into his DNA.

His vision sharpened to see across spectrums.
His lungs recalibrated. Multi-lung activated.

Her fingers trailed along his jawline. Delicate. Soft. Possessive.
Silver Wolf huffed and turned away, hugging her hoodie sleeves. But she peeked over her shoulder with crimson cheeks and burning eyes.

Then they disappeared into the corridor.
Dylan lay on the floor, his breath ragged, his body unfamiliar, and his lips still tasting faintly of apple.
