Adrian stepped into the room
unceremoniously as he gazed at Raven who was meditating while floating above her bed.
Raven opened her eyes as she gazed at him calmly and her voice came out a bit colder than she wanted as her irritation got the better of her.
" What do you want ? " Adrian just raised his eyebrows at her slightly hostile tone, but he didn't take it too seriously.
" Well I didn't see you after you said you were going to get some food , so I came to check on you .." Adrian shrugged as he replied calmly.
" I did come over… but since it seemed like you were having a 'good time' I didn't want to disturb you…" Raven said coldly as Adrian could sense the bitterness oozing out of her when she talked about having a 'good time' , even if Raven tried to keep her tone neutral she couldn't prevent some grievance from seeping through.
Even she didn't know why she was so pissed, it was not like she and Adrian were even friends….
….
Adrian didn't reply to her words as he moved to her table where a crumbled package sat.
Raven seeing him move towards the package wanted to say something but held herself back as she clutched her mantle tightly.
Adrian took out the burrito that had clearly seen better days as he turned his gaze to Raven who blushed while refusing to meet his gaze.
" Y-You don't need to eat it…" Raven muttered in a low tone as her fingers were curled tightly again against her cloak showing her inner emotions.
"Thanks.." Adrian just smiled at her as he proceeded to eat the crumbled Burrito that felt a bit soggy and mushy.
Raven pulled her hood down to cover her face as a shy smile formed across her face , she didn't know why she was feeling this happy but seeing Adrian like this swept away the negative emotions she was feeling as her mind returned to calm…

[ You both have issues , talk with her, maybe you can be traumatised together~ And she is a Goth too~ ] System's voice resounded in Adrian's head which was suspiciously starting to sound like an infuriating woman despite it starting out as a mechanical sound.
But it did remind him that Raven seemed to be carrying a lot of burden , and if possible he wanted to help her with it.

Adrian sat beside Raven in her bed causing the Goth to stiffen but she didn't make any movements other than tightening her mantle around herself.
After dealing with Raven for the past few days he understood that she was loner with issues , he could also feel that she seemed to like him if going by the way she behaves around him.
Like he had to be a next level retard if he ignored Raven's shy and blushing behaviour and her cute stutters.
It's either him being delusional or Raven liking him… and Adrian was feeling a bit cocky today so he decided to go with the latter…

"You have issues…" Adrian said to Raven whose eyes widened and she was about to say something but he quickly shushed her with a finger to her lips.
Raven blushed at the contact but she still glared at Adrian in indignation as she was offended by his blunt words.
"You are not alone… I have issues too… A slight saviour complex , a bit of survivor's guilt , a dash of PTSD from watching my mother die and other added traumas to add to the mix…" Adrian said calmly as if he was talking about someone else and Raven just blinked as if she couldn't understand what was happening.
Adrian was talking like he was reciting the special dishes on a restaurant menu making her a bit speechless.
But Adrian paid no heed to her expression as he just continued talking.
"You know… I'm not from this world, I'm not an alien from another planet but just a regular human from Earth… but my Earth is way different…" Adrian smiled as he continued to recount his experience as Raven became more interested in his story…

" That serum you injected me with… made me stronger… way stronger than before… but the strength came a bit too late …" Adrian said in a joking tone but Raven could feel that he was just using a humorous tone to hide his guilt and pain.
" And when I go back… I don't know what I'll do… I think of tearing him apart limb from limb or just beating him into a pulp until he is nothing more than a carcass … or maybe torture him until he cries…" Adrian said with a laid back smile but his eyes were dark … devoid of any warmth showing that he was far from joking.
Raven's heart clenched as she gripped the sheets beneath her tightly , not because Adrian was talking about murdering someone… but because she realised that he would eventually leave.
And she wouldn't be able to see him again. Raven felt an empty feeling as her gaze dimmed.
'It's for the best' A part of her comforted herself as Raven didn't want Adrian to end up like her mother or the monks of Azarath.
" I didn't even know her name, you know ? … she trusted me , I could see the relief in her eyes when she saw me …. I couldn't even hear what she said to me at her last moments before she got crushed under me… it felt weird , all mushy and warm as her flesh clung to me… I still think of her gaze before she got reduced to blood and meat…" Adrian said in a low tone as his hands trembled as he was just venting at this point.
He became strong… but the things he endured didn't disappear…
