Chapter 134 - Titan

Norman Osborn stood atop the building, his towering form both godlike and demonic. He was now over four meters tall, a hybrid of a lizard and a grizzly bear, his physique as imposing as a mountain. Sharp dorsal fins stood erect like a forest, and his black scales reflected the sunlight like obsidian.

"My lord."

Dr. Lada followed closely behind him, like a court jester trailing a king. Human society had no place for him anymore; he was committed to following Norman Osborn down this path.

"It's here, that inferior specimen."

Norman Osborn looked down at the sinkhole below. A large section of the street had suddenly collapsed, and the wailing police cars had surrounded the scene. The New York City police had evacuated the onlookers.

"What happened underground? We demand a reasonable explanation!"

The Lizardmen incident had eroded the trust of New York City's citizens in the police, and their discontent and anger had reached a boiling point.

"The people have a right to know the truth!"

"Execute all Lizardmen!"

Even standing atop the high-rise, Norman Osborn clearly heard the clamor below. A look of disdain crossed his bestialized face. He leaped, launching himself from the rooftop.

His heavy body emitted a piercing shriek in mid-air, like a falling meteor.

BOOM!

He landed on the ground, immediately caving in a large chunk of the sturdy road. The violent shockwave tossed nearby police cars aside like toys. The police officers and citizens present screamed and tumbled to the ground, the scene descending into chaos.

"Did something explode underground again?"

They were clueless about what had happened amidst the smoke and dust.

A white-collar worker, his head bleeding, stumbled away from the scene. After taking a few steps, he suddenly stopped. A tall, dark figure emerged from the smoke and dust, resembling a giant bear standing upright, only this bear was excessively large.

A gust of wind dispersed the smoke, and he finally saw what the dark shadow was.

"Lizardmen! Lizardmen are here!"

The white-collar worker was scared witless. His legs gave way, and he nearly fell to the ground. He retreated several steps, scrambling away in the opposite direction.

"Insignificant insects."

Norman Osborn flicked his finger, sending out a vacuum wave that shot the fleeing white-collar worker to the ground.

Due to the recent Lizardmen incidents, the New York City Police Department had equipped officers with powerful automatic weapons. All the officers present opened fire on Norman Osborn.

The whistling bullets hit Norman Osborn's scales, but they posed less threat than a mosquito bite. He glanced disdainfully at the terrified police officers. With a stomp of his foot, he unleashed an even more powerful seismic wave than before, sending the officers flying into the air and crashing to the ground.

Their internal organs were shattered.

Norman Osborn swung his long tail, clearing the rubble and dirt above the collapsed area, and dug out Colonel Johnson, who was buried inside. He grabbed Colonel Johnson by the neck, lifting him into the air as if he were a small dog.

Kakarot's Kamehameha had severely injured him, and even now, those terrifying wounds hadn't fully healed.

"So weak. But it makes sense, just awakening a very inferior bloodline."

On the evolutionary tree, the lizard's ancestor and Godzilla had a very distant relation; they once shared a common ancestor, much like elephants and hyraxes.

After repeatedly devouring his own kind, Colonel Johnson's ancient bloodline began to awaken, which Norman Osborn, who was far away in North Dakota, sensed. He was somewhat curious, so he came to New York.

Colonel Johnson opened his eyes and looked at the burly Norman Osborn. A deep sense of subservience welled up from within him. It was as if this giant beast before him was born to stand at the top of the food chain, able to take whatever it wanted from other creatures. Just like how the Lizardmen submitted to him.

"Who... who are you?"

"I am your king."

Norman Osborn tossed Colonel Johnson to the ground. He needed to plunder more radiation sources, and human nuclear weapons and power plants were his best bet, much more convenient than burrowing into the Earth's crust to collect them. Dr. Lada was just an ordinary person, useless to him, but Colonel Johnson could be of some use.

Colonel Johnson's mind was already in a state of confusion, and he actually ignored the pressure emanating from Osborn's bloodline. He opened his maw, filled with sharp teeth, and lunged at Norman Osborn.

"Crack!"

A teeth-grinding sound echoed as Colonel Johnson's powerful bite force caused all his teeth to shatter. He let out a mournful cry, staring at Norman Osborn in terror.

Norman Osborn grabbed Colonel Johnson by the back of the neck, lifting him up. The police, in their attempt to capture the Lizardmen, had stowed many tough alloy steel cables in the trunk of the police car, which had overturned and spilled onto the ground.

He picked up one of the cables, wrapped it around Colonel Johnson's neck, and held the other end, leading Colonel Johnson as if he were a dog.

"Speaking of which, I should thank you for killing those idiots on the board. It saved me a lot of trouble."

Colonel Johnson's eyes widened, glaring at Norman Osborn.

"Who exactly are you?"

"Me? I'm the one who made you like this, Norman Osborn."

The drone in the distance captured the entire scene. Watching the video feed on her tablet, Black Widow's face was pale, and despair welled up inside her.

Colonel Johnson was already difficult to deal with, and the strength of this monster, who knows where it came from, was even more formidable than Colonel Johnson.

"That monster is the Lizardman that attacked the missile silo. It's gotten even bigger."

Peter Parker's throat was dry, and his voice was hoarse. His spider-sense was going haywire, and if he hadn't forced himself to stay calm, he would have already run away.

"Let's get out of here."

Kakarot made up her mind. Among everyone present, only she knew exactly how strong Norman Osborn was. All of them together couldn't even scratch him. Only Broly could defeat him.

He and Colonel Johnson weren't on the same level.

Kakarot, as a Saiyan, was warlike, but she wouldn't challenge an enemy she couldn't possibly defeat. She had to bring everyone back safe and sound.

Black Widow hesitated, wanting to speak, but the situation had taken a drastic turn. Their current strength was simply insufficient to stop the monster.
