Chapter 343: The Celebration
"Let's go inside and check it." Yennefer said, as the two flew into the kingdom.
Right at its entrance, they saw a group of demons who seemed to be guarding the large gates.
Vritra and Yennefer ignored them for now and flew into the kingdom, wherever they looked they saw demons.
The human families were being treated as slaves, lots of houses were destroyed, wherever they looked it was complete and utter chaos.
Vritra flew directly towards the castle, if the soul wraiths were fine then he wouldn't have to worry so much but now he really felt on edge.
Just halfway through, they saw a group of captured guards who were kneeling on the ground, and were about to get their heads chopped off.
"These demon bastards!!" Yennefer was barely holding back after seeing all these demons but finally she snapped at them.
With a wave of her hand, more than thirty demons were killed in an instant, a heavy pressure descended on the whole area.
"O- Oh, Empress?!!" the guards were shocked as they saw the veiled woman and a weak-looking man beside her.
"Tell me, how did the kingdom fall to this state?" she questioned, clearly sensing Vritra's growing tension for his family.
"A- After the news of your death spread along with the God of Mercy, the intrusion of the demons increased and then one day they finally started the war.
They attacked the kingdom but we defended haa haa with all our might, not letting them enter through our boundaries.
After a long stalemate, it was the Slave Beast Gang that broke the power balance.
Those bastards attacked us from the inside a- and we quickly lost the war." The guard explained, while clutching his chest.
"I see, and where are all the people who were staying in the castle?" she asked further, even though she might break a rule or two, she would slaughter all the demons along with him.
"Everyone fought against those demons, many were killed and others were captured.
If you want to find them, then go to the castle, everyone must be there." Another guard answered, they stared at Vritra and finally recognized him.
"Y- You are the God of Mercy right? Your friends and those ladies that were with you were also captured."
One of them said hastily, it wasn't long before all the people were captured so they were all still alive.
The sky was turning dark, all over the kingdom the cheers of the demons could be heard, the castle seemed especially bright.
Vritra didn't waste a single moment as he flew at full speed.
Yennefer nodded at the guards and then followed behind him, with her being around, she would make sure that no one could hurt Vritra or escape.
'He had grown stronger compared to before entering that realm.' Yennefer stared at his back before increasing her speed and flying beside him.
Inside the castle, whose walls were painted with blood, demons filled the entire large building.
Some could be seen dragging around humans, live and dead, some were partying, while many were just singing their tales.
Inside the once prosperous hall of the castle, few people could be seen seated on the chairs, while many powerful demons and humans stood around them.
On one seat was Faceless from the Nine Pacts, then Blunder from Bone Blood Cult. On another seat was Slave, the leader of the Slave Beast Gang, and the demon Beast.
"Hahaha This was ten times easier than any of us had expected. You should have seen the expressions of those humans Haha" Slave, the demon in human appearance, laughed hard while raising his glass of wine.
"Good job, I thought you were completely useless, living among the humans, but it wasn't meaningless after all." Beast slapped his back, throwing more of the wine into his mouth.
The happiest of the group was of course Blunder and Faceless, not only had they successfully taken care of the empress but even that devil who had given them nightmares for weeks.
"kekeke Cheers, This is great Hic I wanted to kill that fool myself but hic this is good too, I was finally able to get rid of him."
Blunder just kept muttering the same thing over and over, like a maniac, he was happier about Vritra's death than winning the war.
"I am going to score it big this time, everyone is going to know Faceless of the Nine Pacts!!" Faceless shouted, praising himself for the wonderful deeds he had done.
The humans surrounding them were from the Slave Beast Gang and they were hurriedly serving food and drinks to the four.
"Tomorrow morning, let's publicly kill a few of the officials we have captured. It will greatly motivate our army." Slave said, gulping another glass down.
"Oh right, let me kill just three of those captives, the family of that devil. Even though I wasn't able to kill him, I can at least kill them."
Blunder said, as he climbed onto the table, laughing even louder.
Just then, the sound of faint footsteps near the entrance of the hall attracted the attention of many, they looked over and were shocked to see an unfamiliar human enter the hall.
All of a sudden, a heavy pressure fell over the hall, the humans and demons surrounding the table were instantly crushed into the ground.
Their bodies burst out creating a bloody mess all across, with just the pressure more than twenty of those demons were killed, while others found it impossible to even raise their heads.
The celebration and laughter suddenly came to a halt, the four men suddenly became sober as they looked at the new entry that made even them feel shivers.
Blunder rubbed his eyes a few times and fell off the table, muttering in disbelief:
"H- How can this be?!! Am I too drunk? V- V- Vritra?!! How can he be here?"
Faceless wasn't in any better condition, he stumbled back and looked horrified, seeing that sole figure near the entrance.
Slave and Beast frowned, their bodies tensing up, they couldn't recognize him for a few moments.
"Who is he?" Beast asked, his face hardening as battle intent rose through his body.
Slave waited for an explanation from the other two guys but when he glanced at them he was shocked to see them spasming on the ground, they looked way too horrified.
"I heard he is Vritra, a demon lord in the making from the Dunshire kingdom." Slave said with a shake of his head. Vritra was right now in his original appearance.
TUK TUK
Vritra walked closer, with each step the pressure increased, cracks forming in the walls and pillars.
His gaze was focused on the four men, he stepped over the head of a demon.
With a crunching sound, his head exploded, even the soul was crushed in a seemingly casual step and just like that a demon in the 3rd Legion rank was killed.
"!!!" Blunder and Faceless were even more baffled, Vritra clearly wasn't using any demonic energy right now but his strength had grown to such a level that they felt fear just by his presence.
"Well hello, mind if I crash your celebration?" Vritra scanned the four, looking at their levels, all of them were in the fifth Legion rank.
"Oh!! Wait hubby, let me grab my popcorn!!"
Yasmine spoke in excitement.

Chapter 344: Semi-Domain
Stopping beside the group of four, Vritra pulled the chair and sat down.
Placing his right arm on the table, he rested his chin on top of his arm, gazing at them with a small smile.
"Heard you were celebrating something big, mind if I join you?"
Vritra spoke, picking a glass half full of wine. He swirled it around and poured it down on Slave's head.
"H- How can you still be alive?" Faceless finally managed to ask, while hugging Blunder, as the two stuck closer.
TIP TIP
"..." Slave was extremely angry, as the wine dripped from his head.
He glared at Vritra but held back. Before muscles, he always used his brain, and they knew nothing about this new enemy.
But Beast wasn't as tolerant, he was instantly angered. He kicked away the table and let out a loud roar. His body increased in size as he towered over Vritra, letting out demonic energy.
"Sigh... Forget it, let's just get it over with." Slave muttered, wiping away the wine. He stood up, and his human form began to distort.
His body grew to match Beast's size at more than ten feet. He looked quite ugly with several tails and limbs growing randomly over his body and teeth that had absolutely no symmetry.
"Oh, no wonder you liked to stay as human, even mothers won't love you with an appearance like that." Vritra said, throwing the empty glass away.
ROAARRRR
Slave let out a thunderous roar, enraged by Vritra's words since his parents really did abandon him when he was young. Of course, both of them were already dead.
"You brazen human, how dare you be so vulgar in front of us!!" Slave shouted, but taking a deep breath he calmed himself, and with a loud menacing laugh he muttered:
"I heard you have your family among our captives, but do you know with just a thought I can make the bodies of all the captives explode. Wanna see it?"
"..." Vritra's gaze narrowed at the two demons, who had suddenly started laughing out loud. He stood up and, while stretching, spoke:
"Sure, give it a try. You demons love to see others cry and beg, right? Well, I can really understand why that is the case."
A twisted smile spread across Vritra's face.
All of a sudden the environment around them changed. All the people, even the ones pressed down, found themselves on top of an endless ocean, their feet slightly submerged in the water.
The entire sky was blood red, and a half moon, drowning into the ocean in the distance, could be seen, the air heavy with killing intent.
"!!!" The four people were completely baffled, they didn't even know when exactly their location was shifted, and now they were inside the Book of Dimensions.
Vritra raised his right foot and took a step forward, his body blurring and flashing in front of Blunder.
"Hey Blunder, long time no see. I heard you got a little problem in your back, let me fix it for you." Vritra spoke.
He leaned forward as his smile became bigger and more demonic, scaring the shit out of the crazy psychopath.
"U- Uwaaaaaah h- Helppppp I didn't do anything, it was t- them!!" Blunder shouted. Just the memory gave him shivers and pain across his spine.
Before even Vritra's fingers could touch Blunder, Slave and Beast made their move, clenching their fists they shouted at the same time: "SEMI DOMAIN: RISE!!"
Instantly, the area surrounding the group was completely covered by two semi-spheres, one on top of the other.
"..." Vritra was quite intrigued by this. He halted his movements and observed the semi domain.
'Is this normal at the 5th Legion rank?' he asked.
"Yes, I believe you might be the only anomaly who hadn't made any progress towards your Field despite rising to such a high level. We need to work on it as soon as possible." Yasmine replied, but then added:
"Even the Semi Domain has several benefits, like they have greater control inside it, and they could also use a domain-related ability or two.
Even their strength will increase slightly, but this isn't the full-blown domain so we don't have anything to worry about."
The levels of the four were all at the initial levels of the 5th Legion rank, they were all below Vritra by many levels.
Blunder pushed himself back and collected his thoughts.
The courage of the two demons gave him motivation, and he knew that if he wanted to get out of this strange realm, then they would have to kill Vritra somehow.
Faceless and Blunder jumped back and held each other's hand tightly, giving each other support while their legs shook violently.
"SEMI DOMAIN: RISE!!"
And so, Vritra and the group were now covered by four semi domains, all of them completely different from one another.
Blunder's semi domain looked as if it was made of blood and even turned the air inside into bloody mist.
While Faceless had a strange translucent semi domain with twisted and broken faces appearing all over its surface, and spirit-like entities were floating inside.
Beast's semi domain was just like him, just brute. It seemed as if it was made of iron as thick as one meter.
And lastly, Slave's semi domain was invisible. It was certainly there but couldn't be seen, though the insides were covered by countless sharp and pointy spikes that could deal heavy damage upon impact.
'Interesting, so I can create Dust Domain like that hmm...' Vritra thought.
He had given up on Null, that skill was too complicated and dangerous. He would end up wasting too much time only to die at the end.
Vritra made up his mind to invest more time into grasping the understanding of his Field after this, but for now he focused on the battle ahead.
"What do you think his level is right now? I can't sense any demonic energy coming from him, yet he possesses such heavy presence.
How could his level have increased so much in such a short time?" Faceless asked, ready to launch all sorts of attacks.
"He also seems to be at the 5th Legion rank, though I can't tell what his level exactly is. Maybe he is using some skill or object to hide it.
And you mean to say he had grown to this extent within just a few months?" Beast asked in bafflement, staring at the unknown intruder.
"Yeah, just a few months ago he was summoned to this world by a goddess. When I first saw him he wasn't even at the 1st Legion rank.
And in the Blue Kingdom he was only at the 1st Legion rank just a couple of months ago."
Faceless answered, terrified by such a fast growth rate. After reaching the 5th Legion rank, they would be stuck at the same level for years, but Vritra made it all look so easy.
"But when is he going to bring out his Semi Domain?" Slave asked, waiting for Vritra.
"Wait, don't tell me he doesn't possess any Semi Domain yet?!! Keke, he had grown too fast to properly grasp his Field, right?"
Slave spoke after a moment, as the four felt that victory might be easier than they had expected.

Chapter 345: Blooming Flower
At the same time, the four activated their semi domain, throwing the men on the ground out of the fighting range before locking onto Vritra.
A semi domain was also like a mobile semi realm where they had a lot of freedom.
Various chains shot out of the walls, some red, some invisible, some iron-like while the remaining were made of faces biting onto one another.
The chains rapidly wrapped around Vritra, locking him in place, but the four of them didn't stop.
They chose to use one of their strong attacks right from the start, their semi domains glowed and were filled with mana.
Vritra stood completely still, gazing at the domains with interest, while the others were satisfied that they had managed to lock him in place.
A bloody sea drifted and a crucifier-shaped strange red pole appeared right beside Vritra, an invisible blade grew and pierced right through Vritra's chest and limbs from behind, pinning him to the crucifier.
KIIIEEEEEKKKK
YIIIIIIIEEEEEEE
The spirits floating around suddenly let out loud screams and charged at Vritra, biting down all over his body, making it impossible for him to even move a finger.
Large iron-like shackles formed all over his body, squeezing until his limbs burst into a bloody mixture.
After Vritra was completely locked into the place, the four shot their powerful attacks at him.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
The energy of the four domains was exhausted completely in a single attack, in an instant countless types of attacks were launched at Vritra, his skin was torn, his organs and body exploded.
Getting pierced by thousands of sharp spikes while those creepy faces entered his body and exploded.
The ground and air shook from the intensity of the attack and the realm formed inside the page of the book almost crumbled, tremors passing through even the bodies of the observers.
Pieces of limbs and flesh flew all over the place, and painful screams filled the area, making them feel overjoyed.
They had exhausted quite a lot of energy in this attack, but thankfully it had worked better than expected.
Although their target wasn't dead yet, it was for the better since now they would be able to torture him slowly.
"Kikiki I knew it, when Slave and Beast get together, even the demon lord—no I mean, demon generals—uhh the weakest demon generals have to give them a little respect." One of the demons muttered.
"That guy was acting all high and mighty, and he couldn't take a single attack from them pfftt how pitiful, I would die of shame if I were him."
"Zezeze Even I could have beaten that guy, but our leaders got to him first—tsk if I see him the next time then I will—"
The demons and humans were having loud chatter, feeling pride at the wonderful sight.
"Are you all already done? Keep on going, torture him more, let's see how long he can hold on." Someone from somewhere spoke.
"Haa haa don't tell us what to do, of course we are going to torture him unlike anyone has ever seen." Faceless said with a sinister laugh, he was going to make this devil feel all sorts of pain.
"Let's torture him until he starts begging for mercy, I want to see him crawl as he eats up his own words, I want to see despair and fear on that arrogant handsome face of his." Slave said, imagining the worst types of tortures.
"YESSS!! I am going to break him until he cries and licks my shoes." Beast shouted, his blood pumping and rage building inside.
"Yes, yes I have waited so long for this day, just let me finish him up." Blunder said, his expression looking really ugly.
Not far from the group, there was a big throne and Vritra sat lazily on top of it, he held some snacks in his hand and spoke:
"Beat him up, use these, push it inside all his holes. I heard it hurts really badly when you open the blades after inserting in the body."
After speaking he threw several long and thick metallic locks with a strange pattern towards Beast who caught them and said gratefully:
"Thank you, I will use them and give him the most pain, haha these things are good where did you get them? Mind if I keep them for future uses? Again, Thanks Mr?"
Vritra shrugged and answered: "Just found them in a torture room, anyway you can keep them. You can call me Vritra."
Beast nodded and pressed the button below the heavy metal rod and like a flower blooming countless big spikes bloomed all over its surface and a flower on the top.
He got excited by just the thought of opening this thing after inserting it in his enemy's body, the temperature of the blades was extremely high and there was even poison at the tip of the blades to give the maximum pain.
Vritra threw a piece of meatball into his mouth and enjoyed the sight of Blunder pinned to the crucifier.
With the help of Misty Essence mythic halo, even Blunder wouldn't know that he was attacking himself.
Blunder kept screaming, one part of his mind was full of despair and was aware of what was happening while the other part kept launching more attacks at him, he was in such a strange state.
"Bravo!! The face, hit his face—Oh uh... Beast you shouldn't have cut off—ugh that must have hurt, well good job, yes pop them both. Right, let the flower bloom inside and... haha you inserted it too deep."
Vritra passed comments and encouraged the three to torture Blunder, the three sadistic bastards weren't really holding back in their torture.
Beast had inserted those thick metal rods in every hole he found on Blunder's body, and when the holes were all filled, he even created more holes just to stick in the remaining ones.
Slave let out all his twisted desires, using the countless spikes to turn him into something that resembled a filter with countless holes.
Faceless wasn't holding back either, inducing as much pain and injury as he could.
And Blunder, he kept making his own blood explode, cutting nerves and squeezing his organs.
Along with Vritra the others also cheered, as the torture continued for more than an hour.
Finally Vritra stood up from his throne and hovered in the air, then he spoke in a thunderous voice: "STOP!! He is already at his last breath, now let me do one attack as well."
"Sure, thanks for those tools, I will use them wisely in the future as well." Beast agreed and stepped back along with others, they got tired just while torturing the person they believed was Vritra.
"So Blunder, how does it feel to become a pawn in others' game? Did you enjoy it? Oh right you can't speak, but you can hear right?" Vritra spoke in a mocking tone, making the psycho feel even more anger.
It was a habit of his to drag anyone he found interesting into chaos, just like how he had done with Vritra.
But for the second time in his life, he regretted all his life choices and actions, he regretted the day when he had killed the king of Dunshire kingdom and met this Devil.

Chapter 455: A Good Deal
"It looks like this time I won." Tiana looked down at Alice, who had fallen to the ground, and laughed.
Alice stared blankly at Tiana standing before her. She didn't know how to react. Just moments ago, she thought she was the winner, but suddenly everything had been reversed.
Who could have thought this girl had planted multiple hidden traps while fighting her? She never expected that.
At the last moment, all the traps activated at once, slamming her into the ground and causing the current outcome.
Tiana stretched out her hand, and after letting out a sigh, Alice took it and stood up. This time, it was her own carelessness that caused her defeat—she couldn't blame anyone else.
"When did you come up with such an idea?"
"Yesterday when I fought Daniel. Back then, I also set a number of traps, but none of them even triggered. It was clear he noticed and destroyed them all." Tiana replied with a bitter smile.
"I see. Well, congratulations. That makes us even now." Alice said with a smile.
The middle-aged man appeared above them and looked at them with amazement. The battle he just witnessed was nothing like a fight between two Rank F's.
It was closer to a battle between two Rank E's, maybe even two Rank D's. Believing how strong these two girls were was truly difficult—not only for him, but for the entire audience.
"Congratulations to Tiana for first place, and to Alice for second place." the middle-aged man announced.
The cheers of the spectators erupted loudly. For them too, witnessing such a battle was truly entertaining and exciting. Many had even placed bets midway on who would win.
"You will receive your rewards later directly from the Guild Leader." the man looked at the two girls and said calmly.
Both of them nodded, waved to the spectators, and then left the arena. Because of the guild's security protocols, they couldn't be allowed to remain too long in the open.
Especially now, after everyone had seen their talent, their importance had grown significantly in the hearts of many. Under no circumstances could anything be allowed to happen to them.
"To all the spectators who came to watch today's battles, thank you. The tournament has ended, the top ranks have been decided, and you can see the names on the board." the middle-aged man then turned to the crowd and said.
"Those two girls were truly incredible!"
"I never thought the Fallen Sun Guild would be this lucky to find such talents."
"In my opinion, they made a mistake joining that guild. They should at least have joined one of the top three guilds."
The spectators slowly stood up and began leaving the pocket dimension one by one. Portals had been opened for them to exit.
"Aren't you going?" Selenia noticed the young man didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave. She remained standing and looked at him curiously.
Daniel still had his eyes on the battlefield. It wasn't clear what he was thinking.
"I want to make a deal with the Fallen Sun Guild." after a while, he finally spoke. The words that came out of his mouth left the Black Sword of Dawn shocked.
"A deal? What kind of deal?"
"I want Alice to be allowed to enter the Sun Spring together with Tiana. In exchange, I'll give you a powerful skill." Daniel said calmly, though the seriousness in his tone was clear.
"Alice is my disciple, and if she can enter, I'd also be glad. But this isn't something I can decide. The Sun Spring is extremely valuable, and there's a reason it's so heavily protected." Selenia frowned slightly as she spoke.
"There's no need to worry. In the future, Alice will definitely get the chance to enter."
"In the future? You said the Sun Spring is meant to strengthen one's foundation, potential, and talents. Which means now, before she's begun her path, is the best time for her." Daniel shook his head.
"I understand, but the decision is still not mine—" however, before she could finish her words, she suddenly froze in shock.
In the young man's palm, a miniature sun appeared. The temperature around them spiked drastically, and even Selenia felt her breathing grow difficult from the heat.
What shocked her even more was the immense fear this miniature sun gave her. She was certain that if it touched her, she would die without a doubt.
"What do you think?"
"I'll inform the Guild Leader." This time, Selenia didn't reject him outright. Instead, she took a communication talisman from her inventory and made a call.
The miniature sun vanished from Daniel's hand, and he calmly continued staring at the battlefield.
It wasn't long before Selenia finished her call. With a faint smile, she looked at him and said,
"The Guild Leader agreed. But if it's not a problem, he said he wants to first see the skill himself and use it."
"No problem." Daniel didn't mind. A skill book appeared in his hand, which he passed to Selenia. Upon seeing the rank of this skill, her eyes widened in shock.
She gave the young man another glance, then after saying goodbye, she left. She also promised to ensure Alice would be allowed entry to the Sun Spring.
After the woman left, Daniel stood up as well and exited the pocket dimension. He wasn't worried about the Fallen Sun Guild going back on their word.
After all, they wouldn't dare anger him. If they did, they'd not only provoke Everlight Moon, but also lose two great prodigies.
After leaving the pocket dimension and handing over the ring, Daniel immediately exited the guild building, went to the parking lot, and got into his car. Naturally, Tiana and Alice stayed behind to receive their rewards.
He didn't want to waste any more time. It was time to return to the Everlight Moon Guild and enter seclusion.
It was about a twenty-minute drive from here to his destination. He set off calmly. Unfortunately, unlike the morning, heavy traffic filled the streets, making it impossible to move quickly.
While stuck in traffic, he looked out the window. It was nearly noon, and the scorching sun blazed down everywhere.
As he stared outside, he suddenly noticed a column of smoke rising not too far away. Using his spiritual senses, he took a closer look.
"Damn it." he frowned immediately. Using his mana, he quickly created a large defensive barrier that covered a wide area.
Moments later, a massive explosion rang out, and fire and smoke engulfed the surroundings. Many buildings collapsed, and screams and cries of panic filled the air.
At the same time, numerous figures wearing prison uniforms slowly walked out of the building from which the smoke had risen.
"Finally, we're free."

Chapter 456: An Unexpected Event
The terrified people raised their heads or looked outside their cars. They too had heard the explosion and with their own eyes could see the fire and countless pillars of smoke rising.
Yet to their surprise nothing had happened to them. Slowly they stepped out of their cars, shocked and stunned as they looked around.
The first thing they saw was a man floating in the sky staring into the distance. A black mask covered his face so his features could not be seen.
"He saved us?"
"Who is he?"
"What happened? What was that explosion just now?"
"That mask... why does it look like that Fallen?" among the crowd one person recognized the mask.
When the word Fallen was heard many people's faces changed. With how widely the news had spread there was no one who had not at least heard the name of this unknown figure.
"Leave this place." Daniel's voice came out, now masked. When the people heard his words they did not waste time and hurried to leave.
They were not stupid. The explosion just now had been terrifying. They could see in the distance that many buildings clustered together had been blown apart and collapsed.
And what was more terrifying was that they knew the place. It was none other than the National Prison of the Awakened, the place where some of the most dangerous Awakened criminals were held.
To make sure the people could leave safely Daniel summoned several of his Fallen and ordered them to guard the civilians.
He then took a step and in the next moment appeared in the sky above the National Prison of the Awakened. His spiritual senses spread out and immediately covered the entire area.
"There are twelve prison buildings in total and out of these twelve, eight have exploded and five are completely turned to ash." He frowned.
He could see that all the soldiers and guards who had been protecting this place were dead. Blood was splattered everywhere and he could feel the last traces of life beneath the destroyed buildings.
But even those traces vanished quickly. He let out a sigh.
"What exactly happened here?" He could not understand how such a secure place could suddenly be destroyed like this.
He spread his spiritual senses further and scanned into the distance until finally he found traces of individuals that seemed to have escaped from here.
"Prisoners?" The frown on his face deepened. He stepped forward and appeared above one of the escaped prisoners he had located.
What he saw caused a cold light to flash in his eyes. The prisoner had attacked a nearby shop and was rampaging through everything in the area, even several people had already been killed.
It seemed the prisoner intended to wipe out the whole shop. Daniel appeared in front of him and stopped him before he could kill an innocent child.
The child who thought he was about to die slowly opened his eyes when he realized the bad man had not struck him. What he saw instead was a masked man standing before him as if protecting him.
"Go." Daniel told the child. The boy nodded and ran off quickly, trying to wipe away his tears as he left.
"Who the hell are you? How dare you stop me?" The escaped prisoner was startled that this man had blocked his punch. Fear showed in his face as he quickly jumped back several steps.
"If you want to leave here alive you had better answer my questions." Daniel said with a cold and emotionless tone.
"Hmph! Who do you think you are? You think wearing a mask makes you a hero?" The prisoner growled and rushed at Daniel intending to strike him with his fists.
But Daniel gave him no chance. With a single blow he shattered the prisoner's entire skeletal structure and turned him to ash.
"Ahhhh!" The scream of terror from the prisoner filled the entire shop.
"Now will you answer my questions or not?"
"I will! I will!" The prisoner nodded frantically with fear. How could he dare refuse?
"How did you escape? How many have escaped?" Daniel asked in a calm voice.
"I don't know how we escaped! Suddenly there was a boom, an explosion, and the restraints that limited our powers broke. Then the cell doors opened."
"As for how many I don't know! Maybe hundreds!" the prisoner answered in panic.
"Don't lie." Daniel's tone turned cold and suddenly a deadly destructive aura enveloped the escaped prisoner.
"I swear I'm not lying! You have to find Steven! He knows! He definitely knows what happened and how we managed to escape."
"Before we left the prison he gave us a pill. He said it could multiply our power several times over. Look, this is it." The prisoner pulled a pill from his pocket and handed it to the masked man before him.
"He definitely knew something was going to happen and that we would be able to escape."
"I see." Daniel nodded and then the prisoner was completely reduced to ash.
He stood up and before leaving glanced at the shop and all the innocent people who had been killed. He sighed. Some of the scenes he saw even made his expression turn completely cold.
He wished he could have arrived just a few minutes earlier. But unfortunately there was no medicine for regret.
He left the shop and summoned all of his Fallen. Once they appeared they bowed before him.
"Go and find all the escaped prisoners. They cannot have gone far. Also bring me the one named Steven."
The Fallen bowed respectfully and like shadows vanished from his sight to carry out their lord's command.
Daniel took out his phone and called Lana, explaining the situation in full detail. Lana said she would immediately declare an emergency and send other Awakened for support.
After ending the call he pulled out the pill he had taken from the prisoner and looked at it. It was a shining purple pill.
"This is the trash smell of the Corruption Worshipers." A cold glint flashed in his eyes.

Chapter 457: Foreign interference
Daniel could sense the filthy aura and stench of the Corruption Worshipers from this pill. Clearly, whatever it was had something to do with those disgusting bastards.
His eyes grew colder. It had been a long time since he had gotten this angry. But... was he even qualified to be angry?
In his past life, he had caused the deaths of countless people. Still, in this life, he didn't want to witness such things again, because he knew all too well what kind of consequences it would bring.
But seeing innocent people killed once more brought back memories he didn't want to remember, and that was what fueled his anger.
With a sigh, he placed the pill inside his inventory. He would examine it later when he had the time. For now, he needed to figure out exactly what had happened here.
He took off into the sky, using his spiritual senses to scan the surroundings. Fortunately, his Fallen were already handling the situation.
The casualties had been contained, and it seemed no one else had died. The criminals who tried to escape were being hunted down by the Fallen.
Looking into the distance, he noticed other Awakened along with government military forces approaching in helicopters.
Clearly, they had come to provide support. Daniel flew toward them, and upon seeing him, they instinctively raised their guard—especially since he was wearing a mask.
After all, ordinary Awakened never wore masks or tried to hide their identities. Luckily, one of them recognized him as The Fallen.
Seeing the situation calm down, Daniel quietly sighed inside and explained what had happened. The more the Awakened and soldiers listened, the deeper their frowns grew.
Without wasting time, they rushed off to save civilians. Not that there was much left to do—his Fallen had already taken care of most of it.
The only problem was the massive destruction left behind. The criminals had consumed those pills during the battle, and their power had skyrocketed to the point that they were able to fight evenly against the Fallen for a short while.
But in the end, they were defeated. All of them were either killed or captured. Once Daniel confirmed everything was under control, he didn't intend to stay any longer. After dismissing his Fallen, he quietly left the area.
"Hm? Where did that man go?" one of the Awakened eventually noticed The Fallen was gone.
"I thought he was still here! When did he even have the chance to leave? What exactly happened?" They all looked around in confusion.
"Forget it. He clearly had his reasons for hiding his identity. Maybe he was worried we'd cause him trouble if he stayed." One of the Awakened, who seemed to have a higher position, said with a faint smile.
Meanwhile, Daniel landed quietly a few blocks away and removed his mask. Unfortunately, his car had been destroyed during the chaos.
When he returned to where it was parked, he found it completely wrecked by one of the criminals.
"Guess I'll have to buy another one later." He chuckled, then called his mother to let her know he was safe and that he would be going into seclusion soon.
He knew that if he didn't say anything now, his mother would definitely worry when she heard the news later. That was the last thing he wanted.
After that, he hailed a taxi and headed toward the Everlight Moon guild. Even though he wanted to personally investigate the prisoners and those pills, there were plenty of other people who would handle it.
Once he came out of seclusion, he'd just look at the results. If necessary, he would step in. If not, he'd leave it to the others.
It took him about fifteen minutes to finally reach the guild headquarters. He paid the fare and entered the building. Before heading to his private training room, he went up to the management floor to see Lana in her office.
Since the real guild leader had returned, Lana had been forced back into her original office. Same floor, just a different room.
"Are you alright?" Lana immediately came toward him when he entered.
"I'm fine. Did you really think something could happen to me?" Daniel laughed.
"Good. It'd be a waste to lose such a genius. Anyway, what exactly happened all of a sudden?"
Daniel shook his head and explained briefly what he knew. Even he didn't have much information—he could only describe what he had seen.
"The Awakened prison exploded? That should be impossible. Do you know how many arrays are in place to prevent something like that?" Lana said in disbelief.
"I find it strange too. There must've been outside interference."
"But who would be stupid enough to do something like this?"
"That's your responsibility to figure out. I'm about to enter seclusion and don't have the time to think about things like this," Daniel said with a faint smile.
"So it's finally time, huh? I wish you success. Don't push yourself too hard—reaching Rank A isn't an easy task."
"I know. I just want to give it a try. If I succeed, great. If not, I'll just have to enter the Tower." Daniel nodded.
He knew how difficult it would be, but he trusted himself. His instincts told him he would succeed.
"Good. Just don't take too long—you don't have much time left. The dungeon raid will begin soon," Lana reminded him.
"Don't worry, I won't forget. By the way, where's the guild leader?"
"My father went to see my grandfather. It seems he wanted to make sure he's doing alright."
"His injuries got worse?" Daniel asked, as if he had figured something out.
"Ugh... there's no hiding it, huh? Yes. His injuries have gotten worse," Lana said with a heavy expression. If something happened to her grandfather, the entire guild would suffer.
At that point, Everlight Moon would definitely drop out of the top ten guilds. And because of their wealth and rare items, many other guilds would start coveting them.
"Is there a way to heal his wounds?" Daniel asked, feeling a bit guilty. After all, this whole situation was partly because of him.
"Well... there is one. The Water of the Spring of Life could heal him. But that thing only exists in the Gulf of Sumer, and that place is extremely dangerous."
"Oh? There? I actually planned to go there anyway. Guess I definitely have to go now."
"Why do you even want to go there?"
"We'll talk about it later. For now, I need to start my seclusion." Daniel didn't explain further, said goodbye, and headed straight for the floor with private training rooms.
