Chapter 23 - 23

How much is it in total?"

"Exactly $15."

"Alright, here's $15, for you."

...

Peter Parker had picked out his sauces at a supermarket, paid at the checkout, and was now cycling home.

Today was Uncle Ben's birthday, and Aunt May was waiting for his sauces to make a delicious feast!

Just then, Peter's spider-sense suddenly detected a motorcycle speeding towards him from his left, moving very fast.

Although the motorcycle was fast, with his powerful spider-sense and physical abilities, Peter quickly dodged it by lifting his bicycle and sidestepping, avoiding a collision.

"Help me stop the person on that motorcycle! He stole my bag, and it has something very important inside. Is anyone there? Please, help me..."

Then, Peter heard a very loud cry.

Peter looked in the direction of the voice and saw a blonde woman in a business suit. She was pointing at the motorcycle that had just sped away, her face filled with anxiety, clearly indicating the importance of the bag's contents.

"Hey, wait here for me. I'll go get your bag back."

Seeing this, Peter smiled and said to the shouting woman, preparing to help her retrieve her bag.

Although Peter was no longer planning to be a superhero fighting major criminals, he would still help others and never let criminals escape his sight.

Without revealing his true abilities, Peter had done many good deeds in Queens during this time, earning much praise from people.

As a result, Peter even earned the title of "Friendly Neighborhood Peter Parker," which made him very happy.

Compared to the grand title of Spider-Man, Peter preferred "Friendly Neighborhood Peter Parker," as this title praised him personally, and not just the superhero Spider-Man.

Peter got on his bicycle and chased after the speeding motorcycle. After a while, Peter threw his bicycle aside and pursued the motorcycle on foot!

Although his body was powerful and he cycled very fast, Peter knew that no matter how fast he rode his bicycle, he still couldn't keep up with a motorcycle.

To catch the motorcycle, he would have to use his legs and his webs, which could carry him over tall buildings.

It was night, so Peter shot out his webs, swinging between tall buildings. This way, no one would notice him.

After all, Peter was still wearing his normal clothes. If anyone saw him, they would definitely recognize him.

Although Peter would help others, he didn't want his true abilities to be known, to avoid worrying Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

However, even though Peter was using his abilities, he still couldn't catch up to the motorcycle right away.

This was because the motorcycle was heading towards the Kennedy Bridge, seemingly going to the Manhattan area.

The Kennedy Bridge is a very, very important bridge connecting Queens and Manhattan, very long, and there are no tall buildings at either end of the bridge. Even though it was night, there were still many vehicles on the bridge. If Peter wanted to use his abilities to catch the motorcycle, he would definitely be exposed to many people's eyes!

Peter's heart was conflicted. If he wanted to help that woman get her bag back, he would definitely be seen by many people, and his identity would be exposed.

But if Peter didn't help, he wouldn't be able to live with himself.

Just then, Peter suddenly noticed a red costume displayed in a nearby fitting room. The outfit had two sticks attached to its sides and a mask that covered the face.

Peter recognized it at a glance: this red suit was the superhero costume of Daredevil, a street hero from New York.

"Alright, maybe I'll cosplay my idol, Daredevil, for once!"

Peter smiled, then quickly entered the fitting room, left some dollars, grabbed Daredevil's red superhero costume, and swiftly ran out.

A moment later, a 'Daredevil' in a red suit appeared on the street.

"Cool!"

With the protection of the suit, Peter no longer held back. He shot out a web, sticking to the main beam at the top of the Kennedy Bridge, and swung towards the fleeing motorcycle.

People on the bridge saw a red figure swinging across the bridge and cried out in surprise.

"Oh, look at that red figure! That's Daredevil! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I actually saw Daredevil, how lucky!"

"You idiot, that's not Daredevil at all! Daredevil is amazing, but have you ever seen Daredevil shoot out something like spider silk?"

"Ah, it really doesn't seem to be Daredevil. But isn't he wearing Daredevil's red superhero costume? If he's not Daredevil, then who is he?"

"So dumb! Since this guy can shoot webs, he must be called Spider-Man..."

"That's right..."

... With the red suit concealing him, Peter no longer held back. Even though he had spent some time changing into Daredevil's outfit, he eventually caught up to the fleeing motorcycle in Manhattan, retrieved the woman's stolen bag, and even delivered the audacious thief to a nearby police station.

Then, as Peter was about to head back, he suddenly saw two giant monsters, almost a story high, fiercely fighting in the street ahead, destroying countless vehicles and buildings.

Most importantly, Peter also saw a little girl sitting helplessly on the ground not far from the two monsters, crying loudly and calling for her mom!

Seeing this, Peter immediately used his webs to quickly rush to the street ahead, and with another web, he flung a car that was flying towards the little girl to the side, saving her!

After placing the little girl in a safe spot, Peter quickly returned to where the two monsters were battling, wanting to see if anyone else had been affected by their fight, so he could save those unfortunate individuals.

Fortunately, people weren't interested in watching two giant monsters fight, so they had already fled the scene, leaving only a few people behind.

After rescuing the last person in danger, Peter crouched on a lamppost, watching the two monsters fight.

Watching the two three to four-meter-tall monsters, one completely green and the other completely yellowish-brown, exchange punches, throwing cars at each other, Peter couldn't help but quip:

"Wow, you two must be quite something. Let me guess, the green one must be called the Hulk, right? Hmm... What about the yellowish-brown one? Oh, I got it, I'll call you the Poop Giant!"

"Cool, this fight is really awesome, so explosive! Yes, smash him, smash that Poop Giant hard, go Hulk, smash the Poop Giant into the ground!"

... On the street, the Hulk was happily smashing the remaining Abomination with the police car he had just torn in half, when he suddenly heard some very annoying words.

Hulk's hearing was excellent in his giant form, and he immediately glared in the direction of the voice, his eyes filled with immense anger!
