The movements of Arthur Ruingert were quick and forceful. He was athletic. On the other hand, Massimo repeated after him. Nevertheless, his movements looked clumsy and funny.
"That Fioretti is a clown, I give my word"
Jeering and laughter could be heard in the vicinity.
Arthur locked his eyes at Massimo slowly cutting the distance between them.
To meet with eyes was no benefit for Massimo; he clearly realised it. There was always a chance, the stronger opponent would just break the weaker one via harsh will.
The heart of Massimo was beating very anxiously, though he himself seemed to be approaching to Arthur.
All of a sudden, his leg twitched opening a gap. Next moment, Arthur said hi, whereas his clenched fists contradicted the idea of friendliness. Especially, the left one, which hit Massimo. Poor, Massimo.
Nonetheless, the damage was also poor. Massimo managed to protect his stomach, even though, in the process, he strangely staggered back and the place hit became dirty. Then, he stretched out his left arm forward, as if begging to stop the lunge of the hits.
However, it was never the case. Massimo did so in order to perceive the moment of Ruingert's invasion. A moment later, with a swing they tumbled on the floor.
In the moment of the hit, the right hand of Ruingert's missed the target. Massimo directed his weight to the edges of his left hand. Usually the hit would have been delivered, but, in this case both appeared in front of each other's company. From the side, they were going to hug. However, because of their inertias, they altered each other's direction as they collided. Consequently, Fioretti fell to his knees, whereas Ruingert looked at the sky, to be more precise, at the ceiling.
His eyes unpleasantly widened as opposed to Fioretti's. In them a small but, concentrated spark was born. That was his hope. That's the moment to attack, there won't be a better one. Now I should take actions!!
As if replying to his inner call, his heart grew louder accelerating the blood with adrenaline through his veins.
He rapidly jumped up, leaned and sent Ruingert with his kick to tumble once again.
This view was captured by the crowd. Starting with the headmaster till the teachers of The School of The Cyclical Wind, they all stayed silent while observing the scene.
Before when the competition was still distant, The School of The Cyclical Wind diligently prepared its students. The headmaster of the school wants us to gather as much resources as possible. He wants us to become strong. He cares about us. That's why we will work hard!
In Arthur's mind those thoughts dissipated quickly as he put his hand into his right pocket.
To be honest, he looked pitiful and some bronze coins were scattered where his neck laid, while Massimo had to grasp the chance. Both of them were nervous.
The thing that Ruingert took from his pocket were several silver coins. It was likely, he would mix them with those of bronze. Because, The School of The Cyclical Wind specialised in it. It was evident for everyone within the hall. To be more exact, they were more than whoever else good at mixing metals.
Especially, due to that reason, Massimo swept the half of it away, the rest he would have taken himself, unless Arthur managed to mix 2 coins into his shaping bronze knife.
He definitely was skillful at it. The speed by which he immersed the metal into the other was truly rapid. From this moment, Massimo would have a limited time to turn the situation to his advantage. Otherwise, he realized that he might lose.
To win or to lose depended on Massimo's speed of creating a blade. Right now, there were 9 coins in his disposal, each of them with a radius of 2.778 cm. So, the blade would be around 15 to 17 cm long. In comparison, Arthur had a silver blade 7 cm long, in addition with the 2 bronze coins mixed, it still couldn't reach higher than Massimo's future blade.
However, the question was still there of whether Massimo would be able to make it or not. Think of it yourself. Or have you ever seen his skillful abilities? For Polina, Alukard and Lukas, it was unclear. On the other hand, Peter kept doubting his abilities orally. Nevertheless, Julia had her own opinion.
"I saw his abilities and possibilities, maybe not all of them." saying it she smiled a little shyly, adding.
"I am sure he will modify metal into a knife in time."
Particulars of the bronze reminded a brown chocolate. It was melted. Before 2 breaths were taken inside, the coins dispersed forming a concentrated black to brown knife. It did possess a weak reflecting ability.
It was, of course, a bit stupid, but both of them hurried to pierce each other. In fact, they could die here in the scene, if the knives hit the vulnerable places. Massimo was sure his knife was longer, that's why he was supposed to stab him earlier. And it was likely the headmasters would interfere. Hence, he would win eventually.
However, he couldn't understand one thing, why Arthur Ruingert would go to lose?
Next moment, his eyes widened...
